Physical Description: Riamwyn is about 6'3, well muscled from her time as an apprentice blacksmith and than as a rider. Her hair is strawberry blonde, with little strands of silver starting to be seen here and there. Her hair goes down to her shoulders, ending in curls. She has steel grey eyes, that makes her appearance more intimidating. Even at this age, she makes sure to keep herself in good shape, no flab on her. Her clothing are practical, she sees no need in frilly clothing, so it takes some convincing for her to dress up.
Personality: Riamwyn is very sure of herself, knowing she is able to deal with whatever life throws her way. Can't is not a word in her vocabulary, she believes in herself and knows the skies the limit. This confidence goes hand in hand with her courage, there is very little that scares her. Since she believes she is capable of anything, why should she fear things? Sure, Thread is not something she can control, but she can do everything she can to be prepared when dealing with it. Even though she is semi retired and a white rider, meaning she has never been in the higher altitudes, doesn't mean she can't give it her all in the queen's wing. Even down here anything can happen and she will meet every challenge head on, from delivering firestone to protecting the queens from the Thread that slips past the higher altitudes.

Her confidence extends to other people too, she truly believes in those she is close to. They always have her support, she will let them know she is always behind them in whatever they want to pursue. Other people she sees as trying and children also will get encouragement from her, she loves being there to cheer people on. She also tends to be protective of everyone around her, wanting to make sure everyone is safe. If it means taking a little more risk herself, to make it happen, then she will. This protectiveness is double for her family and dragon, she will take a hit for them, just to keep them from being hurt. She is also outspoken, not afraid to speak her mind when she has something to contribute. Even if she doesn't think anyone wants her opinion, she is sure to give it. She will speak out against injustice, though making sure she doesn't step on the toes of those in charge. And she will definitely speak out if someone is harassing her loved ones, especially her gentle white.

On the flip side, she can be hard with her criticisms, having high expectations of herself and others. She does not like seeing people making careless mistakes and she will call people out on it. She doesn't think there should be any excuses for any screw ups. She will check everything with a fine toothed comb, to make sure everything is just right. If she finds things not measuring up to her, she will make sure you are aware of it. Her outspoken nature tends to turn to sharpness when she feels someone is not good enough. She hates people who are lazy or do stupid things. Her sharp tongue will cut a person to pieces when she feels they deserve it. And she will become quite condescending if she finds you doing things she feels are stupid. Surely you should know better or she could do their job in her sleep. People should watch out, she will not hold anything back.

Her courage can also go too far as well, causing her to get reckless in situations. Since she isn't afraid of many things, she has no trouble jumping into the thick of a fight, even if chances are slim she will win. She will jump in the way of Thread, even if she knows it will probably cause her to have to be dunked right away. It is even worse when she is trying to protect others, especially her dragon. She will cover her dragon with her body in a pinch, even if it means she will loose an arm. She is also known for being quite intense, just her stare can cause some people to shrink back. She doesn't always realize that some people are afraid to approach, with the way she seems to cut people down. For those she cares about, she will get nasty with her words to protect them and they have to remind her to tone it down. She puts her all into all she does, so even her love can come across as intense. She is great to have in your corner, but watch out if you cross her path.

History: Riamwyn was born the oldest child of four, born of a gold rider and a bronze rider in High Reaches. While her mother was always supportive and a sweet person, her father was a stern man. He expected all of his children to go into crafts that were respectable and what he felt was appropriate for their gender. The young girl always felt like she wasn't good enough, she felt he expected more from her than anyone else because she was the eldest. However, she had fallen in love with everything to do with the forge and making things on it. She would go and watch the blacksmiths at work and knew that was what she wanted to do. Even though she knew her father disapproved because he felt it was man's work, she became an apprentice blacksmith. As much as she missed her mother, it was nice to get out from under her father's constant derision of her choices while being at the Smithcrafthall.

She continued in her craft until she was old enough to stand, then she returned home. She became a candidate and put everything she could into being the best she could be. Being the daughter of a gold and bronze rider meant a lot of people expected great things from her. Her father expected her to be a gold rider, like her mother. He thought all of his children would be metallic riders, he would not tolerate any other colors. She stood for the next two turns, until the one day her life changed again. A baby white had gotten stuck in her shell, trying to get help. Having told the mother of her trapped baby, she watched as the baby was released from the confines of her shell. The white was a lovely sight, even if Riamwyn knew most of the Weyr scoffed at the poor thing. She hoped that whoever that white called her rider would be worthy of such a precious girl and could protect her. As if the white made her way through the candidates hesitantly, it soon came to her. She felt it nose her and when she looked down, a rainbow filled the little dragon's eyes and she had her precious Milliath at her side. When she headed for the area to feed her white, she looked up in the stands to see her mother beaming and her father turn his back on her.

She spent the next turn training with Milliath, her mother keeping in contact with her and her siblings. To them, she was still family and they didn't care what color she rode. Her father had pretty much disowned her, he didn't even pass messages through the rest of his family. It didn't help that many of her fellow Weyrlings and many others she encountered seemed to look down on her for being a whiterider as well. As much as she loved most of her family, she vowed that as soon as she could and felt it was right, she would leave High Reaches behind and transfer to Western. So while protecting her delicate white, she worked through her Weyrlinghood. Then because she felt a duty to her home Weyr, she stayed for the next five turns after that, even if she knew she would be dealing with a lot of the looks and judgement.

When she turned twenty two turns old, she put in for her transfer to the more friendly Western Weyr. She promised her mother she would stay in touch, before she left. She felt right at home when she got to Western, the weather was wonderful and she felt less judged. She liked how people had to earn their ranks here, color did not make one better than another. She helped her wing with sweeps and did her all in drills. Also, she fell in love with someone and they raised a family together. She made sure to give her children the support she lacked from her own father, she didn't care what color they rode. Things were going very well for her, even if she was a white rider, because she was more accepted here. And true to her word, she kept in contact with her mother and siblings, along with the few friends she had made in High Reaches.

It seemed all was going well, until Thread began to fall once more. Even though she was too old to be in a fighting wing, she decided she would help the Queen's wing for as long as she was able. She wasn't going to let Thread hurt others, not if she could help it anyway. Of course, she worries for her children and grandchildren who are riders, knowing they are in harm's way. It may just be running stone and helping the gold riders, but she puts her all into it. She knows she is lucky to have a healthy family and a weyrmate who is still alive and kicking, so she wants to help keep it that way.

Physical Description: Even though she is on the smaller side of average for a white, her rider makes sure she is in the best health she can be. Milliath is very graceful, able to turn quickly and maneuver as well in the sky and on land. Her limbs are sleek and though she may not have the stamina of other dragons, she makes the most of her speed and agility.
Personality: Milliath is such a timid dragon, known to be afraid to speak her mind. She is seen as a push over, allowing others to tell her what to do and criticize her. She will not object or defend herself, even if it is not very nice. This is a dragon who doesn't like to make waves, she feels it is better to keep the peace. If someone, including her rider, tries to come to her rescue, she will try to get them to back down. She also gets scared when it comes to doing things, including fighting Thread. The little white questions herself, wondering if she can really do things that others say she can. She is a very delicate dragon, she doesn't take critique too well.

However, she will always try her best for those she cares about, especially her rider. She is loyal to a fault, making sure everyone is doing well and taken care of. She loves her Weyr, wanting to do all she can to help the people who gave her and her rider to shine. While she may not be sure of herself for most things, she does know she is a pretty white. She is sure in her flying and how graceful she is. She loves keeping herself looking good, so that she shows off her best sides. She is also quite a cheerful dragon, always willing to turn frowns upside down. If she can get people to smile, she feels it is worth it.
