User ImageJade Panda clicked refresh on the screen and then went about changing backgrounds for the day. It wasn’t something that Kris had him do per say but something he liked to do none the less. The Dex Data Travel agency should have new locations shown each day in his mind. There were a number of computers that he had adjusted already for the day. It was easier to go digital then to print out brochures as the Dex app was always updating based on where Kris was traveling. He had gotten the job here as the owner was always out and traveling so it became clear someone had to watch the store while the alicorn was traveling. One of the laptops was down and running updates but the other three for guests to look at the travel app were up and running. Throughout the day several families came in looking for vacation spots for their trips. A few stressed out business ponies came in to book hotels for their trips as there were little coupons that Kris kept sending back to her travel agency and Jade Panda showed them when anyone asked so a good number of business ponies came here rather than just booking through the app though they could have done this from home as well.Flipping through hotel links on a laptop for a grandmother to book a trip to see her grandson Jade Panda ended up wasting much of his lunch break time. Still he couldn’t just leave a grandmother in distress like that. The afternoon came with another barrage of ponies. By the end of the day he was exhausted from smiling so much and just wanted to go to sleep. Closing down all the computers for the night he closed the shop and trudged back to his home. Closing the gate behind him he looked around at the other suburbs around his home. He would have to get his lawn taken care of soon. His back yard though that was his treasure. Circling around back rather than heading into the house he took a deep breath. He had a number of thick plants growing on a fence that looked nice and blocked off the view from his neighbors. He liked his little sanctuary and would spend a few minutes after work just laying in his little haven. Lying for perhaps an hour he decided he had recharged enough and moved into the house. The first thing that was noticeable was the large amount of art with leaves or trees. He had several house plants all over the area.

Going about watering his plants for the night he moved to his welded nest couch he tilted it so it could be a bed for a bit and lay down tugging a quick blanket he passed out for a while. His nose twitched when he heard the phone go off. Letting the answer machine get it he heard a telemarketer start talking in the background and just ignored it. Those called always grated on his nerves like nails on a chalkboard. He heard rustling and tapping in the house. So Daq was home. The machine clicked off as it was muted. Jade Panda relaxed again and was quickly sliding off into dreamland. If there was a spoon used for any activity done for the day then Jade Panda was out of spoons all together. Thankfully his recent roommate was pretty quite. Daq had no memory behind their name and was a ‘flightless’ he was good with his claws and helped to keep all the plants well cared for and the garden out back in perfect condition. The other pony wandered the house making some noise here and there but Jade Panda was able to drift off in no time.
A gentle poke woke Jade Panda. Peeking out of one eye the purple of Daq’s scarf stood out. “Hey Daq.” Daq pointed to the kitchen. So then dinner was ready? “Thanks.” That was something about Daq he didn’t care about offending others but he didn’t just chatter if he thought others were tired or had a long day. Stumbling out of the nest couch he head Daq adjusting things back to normal behind him. Moving to the kitchen he saw Daq had already set out a eucalyptus taco salad with fried tofu that was made with a eucalyptus base. Jade Panda’s stomach was pretty fragile and he could tolerate small bits of other foods but needed a large amount of eucalyptus in his diet. Thankfully Daq had caught on pretty quick and helped Jade Panda out. It was no time at all since Jade Panda had found Daq wandering seeming pretty stressed out about not having a place to sleep and Daq being part of Jade Panda’s daily life to the point it seemed Daq had always been living with him. A paper caught his eye with several circled wanted ads. It wouldn’t be long now until Daq found a job and likely moved out but it was nice to have them around for now. He hoped he would be alright when Daq left as honestly he didn’t figure Daq would have any problems moving on. Even with no memory the larger pony did just fine.

Jade could hear Daq moving around the home likely taking care of the plants again. Yawning Jade fished their food around the bowel for a while before slowly finishing off the meal. Moving about the house after Daq was no where to be seen. Mildly curious what the other pony was up to now Jade Panda moved outside and found Daq doing touch up painting on his small fireworks cart that Jade used during festivals when the Dex Data travel agency was closed. “Thanks for that.” The interuption must have come as a surprise because it lead to a smear of paint on the bamboo decoration along the side of the cart. Chuckling Jade plopped down and patted Daq’s side while the other pony moved to wipe off the paint smear.
========================================================================= Flipping and following Daq’s view now
=========================================================================
The F---ing hell. Casting a glance to the side Daq was half tempted to shove Jade over but he was somewhat worried the other pony might actually get hurt if he did so. “Wake up from your death sleep?” Daq didn’t understand how Jade always seemed so tired and exhausted all the time. Half the tine Daq seemed to have to much energy but at the same time he wasn’t sure what to do with it all. He knew nothing of his past but that didn’t bother him as much as finding something to do now. He cooked, cleaned and did little things for Jade who found him on the way home, but he wanted to find something else to do with his life. There was one thing for certain though. Whatever he did he wanted to be warm. Even here in Dream Valley it seemed cold to him. He considered moving to Summer’s touch but with the way the flightless there had been found after a heat wave he was hesitant to return there. He had settled on Dream Valley due to it’s neutral nature but absolutely hated winter with a passion, almost as much as he hated flight. One of the few things he enjoyed was fireworks as yes they flew but then they blew up and were gone forever. He took more then a small amount of sadistic pleasure in that. Finishing wiping away the paint smear he fixed the leaf he was working on quickly and then started to work on another area that was fading. “You really should keep up on this more.” He heard Jade give a shrugged off agreement saying Daq was right. “Of course I’m right. And you should sleep more rather then stay up all night trying to balance between making fireworks and trying to read blogs about what your family is up to.” Again there was a soft agreement. Moron was going to put himself into an early grave.Wrapping up the paint job after a few hours in which he and Jade didn’t exchange any other words he recapped the paint and brought the supplies in the house to wash off. Jade moved back to the small nest and curled up in it. After washing up Daq moved past and lifted the blanket over Jade to cover the smaller pony up. He was half tempted to lift him up and carry him to the bedroom that Daq could swear Jade must have forgot existed as often as he used the nest. But Jade might wake up on the way and decided to stay up all night. That would be a pain. Circling back to the kitchen Daq picked up the paper and looked over the help wanted ads again trying to decide where to start applying. He had circled several adds about restaurant help, construction, even teaching. But was he good at any of those things. The problem with not having a past was that he had no idea what he was good at. Maybe he could try a clothing shop? He flexed his dexterous claws having no idea what he could do.
