A rather sizable island in the Water Country's archipelago to the southwest of the central island that is home to Kirigakure and also rather close to Nagi Island. The island is blanketed with mist and dense forest with tall trees.

▱▰▱Kagami was able to help the foreign samurai captain in navigating through the fog. They were at the front of the armada from the Seiryu clan's navy. She was fascinated by how the ships were constructed. They were so unusual to her. Once they approached the island that Kagami thought would be best for them to temporarily settle on she stepped out of the wheelhouse. She walked on deck and saw Yusuke standing and watching their approach. Kagami approached him and waited for the ship to dock. "This island has a lot of forests and it's not overpopulated. I hope it's okay for now." She looked up at him and smiled charmingly before going back to staring at the dock. A bell rang to signal that they could disembark. Kagami eagerly did so while inhaling the all-too-familiar fog. Once she set foot on the island she would walk with Yusuke until after a few hours and they were able to set up a base camp. After dinner, Kagami walked towards Yusuke's massive tent in the center of the camp. "Can I come in?" She asked with a cute up tone while knocking her knuckles on the metal rod supporting the tent's doorway.

Yusuke was enticed by the natural beauty of the world Kagami showed him. The small biome of Zaishin never seemed so tiny compared to the magnitudes of climates the shinobi lived in. It made him realize how ignorant he, and in a much larger part samurai as a culture, were. To think this whole world was in danger of the yokai, and that they would continue to come as long as nothing was done. It made him take a moment back, which would make him appear distance to Kagami. However, as he worked in his center tent with a large list of supplies, he smiled as he ushered his friend in. "Of course. Perhaps you can assist me." He said as he waited for Kagami to look at the supply charts he had. "As you know by now, while I brought all of my army, I also brought their families and all of the citizens ruled directly under the Seiryu clan. Because of this, it is essential that we make sure there's enough food for my military, but the children and elderly must also get enough." Yusuke chuckled to himself as a hand ran through his hair in anxiety. "When I was in Zaishin, we never had a shortage of supplies. My grandfather told me of times when the Yokai menace hindered exploration which limited our resources, but during my lifetime I have never experienced such woes. But now that I have all of these mouths, I am trying to figure out how best to make it work." Despite having advisers and fellow people of his bloodline, he trusted Kagami to help him shift through these papers. Plus, the list of supplies also accounted for the amount of numbers his army ranked, which was well above that of the nations of Arashi or Konoha. He needed a friend, and thankfully, luck gave him one.

▱▰▱Kagami confidently walked into the tent when he permitted her entrance. She saw Yusuke sitting at his desk pouring over his supply charts and other parchments. She listened to his concerns over food supply which was certainly a valid issue to plan for. "I hope you have fishermen. The catches out here should be enough to sustain us for a while." Kagami spoke with empathy as she walked around the desk. She confused as to why he had civilians in his army with him considering the magnitude and danger of their mission. He can't get too comfortable in the Water Country if he's going to take me to this Zaishin place." Her own anxiety grew as she briefly considered the logistics of her mission. She would not let it show as she smiled radiantly at Yusuke. She stopped walking when she stood over him as he sat in his desk chair. Kagami ran her own fingers through the stressed lord's hair. Her hand caught his before she untangled their hands from his hair and intertwined their fingers. She listened to him speak of the Yokai and nodded gently before responding. "Why do you think the Yokai are leaving Zaishin? It seems like they were contained in your home country for a long time." Kagami looked into his violet eyes as her facial expression became more concerned. Suddenly, she let go of his hand before swinging a leg over him and sitting in his lap. She rested her hands on his chest as she confidently straddled him. She knew that Yusuke was already under her spell so she was more than willing to be bold. "But let's talk about you, Lord Seiryu. Are you married? You don't seem like it, but isn't that an important thing for royals like you? Especially such handsome ones." Their faces were merely inches apart as she giggled flirtatiously. Her fingers twiddled with the tied thread of his shirt collar. Kagami had spent so much time with him already on the ship and did not even know if he was seeing anyone.

Yusuke laughed loudly as Kagami commented on his physical appearance. "Handsome? My sister used to say there was no difference between my face and that of a naga's." He said modestly. "Although I guess that's just how siblings are." He said with his voice trailing. "I'm not married, and I don't even know if I want to. Not after what happened." Yusuke said as his eyes trailed mindlessly on the papers below him. It was still so recent, Yusuke wasn't sure if he was ready to discuss it. He felt his body grow cold at the thought. He had to think of something else. Anything else. "I actually should ask you about the Yokai's movements, especially since you may know what happened better." He said as his face turned back to Kagami. It was clear by his expression that he had more pain below the surface, but as he spoke about other things, it neutralized into a somber tone. "The Yokai and Samurai had a stalemate arrangement for most of our lives. Because of the mountains which surround my home country, very few Yokai ever dared to move that deep above land, and away from human consumption. However, around five years ago now, there was an explosion of chakra outside of Zaishin, the forces of which were far beyond what our sensors could calculate. I don't know how, but a mortal's chakra somehow became that of a god, and then waged havoc on some area in your shinobi world. That god was then countered by another force, presumably high ranking shinobi such as yourself. The resulting collision drew the yokai away from Zaishin, and had them advance past the mountains. Although we tried to increase our mountain patrols, the conflict caused an influx of yokai, and we could not fight a double front war from both our homeland and from the mountains." Although Yusuke's details were vague, Kagami would easily be able to deduce that the conflict he mentioned was in fact the battle between her late husband, Sandayu, versus the armada of Arashigakure and Konohagakure combined. "If you know anything about this, it would greatly help our historians piece together the missing pieces of the story." He said politely.

Emiko had been wandering the land for quite some time now, having left the ruins of Uzu months prior to now. She had stumbled across a lone boat across a foggy, murky landscape that was said to have bordered near Arashigakure's original resting place before its ascent. "Where am I now?..." Emiko asked herself, looking out across the way in some minor attempt to make out any land mass that was nearby. This certainly wasn't the Land of Fire. Her hands went into her pack, fetching out the last little bit of rations that she had on her for the moment. A single, cold and moist dumpling that she had saved from days ago. Her stomach wanted to swallow it whole, letting out a low gurgle of discomfort. "Gotta make it count." Emiko took a small bite, taking maybe half of it in her mouth and wrapping the rest back up safely. She gently stepped foot into the boat and sat down without managing to dump her into the waters below. A lone oar sat on the floor of the vessel, which was picked up and used to row across the waters.
"Look to the water, little one." Emiko blinked, continuing to row as her eyes looked down into the waters below. Her reflection met her gaze, torn through the ripples of the oar tearing through the water. "They say that one's reflection shows what one truly is. What do you see? After everything you've been through, do you still see you?" The child couldn't help but stare for a while. Her own reflection was still, unchanging. Yet something about it...Emiko felt unnerved about it. She wasn't going to fully admit it though. The voice was about to continue but she pushed it to the back of her mind. Out of sight out of mind, right? Her efforts were rewarded by a small headache. She'd get punished later surely. The mysterious voice wasn't a fan of being ignored.
Emiko reached shore around ten minutes later, the boat beached on a small piece of land enveloped by the fog. She took a moment to digest her surroundings and took a step out of the boat. Was this some kind of land mass nearby? She could just barely make out anything in front of her because of how thick the fog was. With little options available to her, she pushed the underbrush aside and continued forward. Maybe there was a road somewhere that she could find and avoid getting bit by some kind of bug or something. Emiko huffed and soldiered on by a pair of voices came to her ears. She couldn't recognize either of them and wanted to see who they belonged to. But instead of taking the innocent approach, she opted for one that was more careful. Being on the road tended to make you more anxious of people you stumbled across. A friendly and outgoing exterior could just be a front for something far more insidious. The red head continued in the direction of the voices before coming across them...and a literal group of people marching behind them. The male was a blue haired individual, one who Emiko hadn't met before. But the woman was all but familiar. Emi's eyes widened in the brush she hid behind while her heartbeat quickened. The enchantress who had brought Uzu to its knees. Kagami Hara. She held her breath to keep from making any sudden noises, but continued to spy on them. What were they planning? Why were they here, of all places?

The illusionist chooses [1] Sense of Specialization that will render a genjutsu cost [1] rank less if the casted genjutsu's primary sense is their specialization. Genjutsu that use the illusionist's Sense of Specialization as the primary sense become resistant to the sensory powers of sages and non-Infinite Perception discipline scholars. This resistance means that the genjutsu will go unnoticed from these abilities. Since the illusionist has become so adept in their Sense of Specialization they may always weave it into genjutsu as an Additional Sense unless it would bring the illusion's sensory control above the [5] limit. The illusionist may also always select any Additional Sense that is not their Sense of Specialization to add to a genjutsu as long as it does not exceed the cap of [5] manipulated senses.
Sense of Specialization: Sound ↳ Lasting Hypnosis: The user's genjutsu prowess has achieved a heightened level of potency and lingers for longer. The primary sense of any genjutsu that was released using Kai lingers for [1] additional post. This residual effect is minor because the manipulation of the target with the technique has ended. For example, a complete darkness sight genjutsu that was dispelled may leave the lingering feeling that the world is still a bit darker than it is in reality. If a genjutsu used a mental status effect then it will linger for [1] post longer at one level below what it was before at a minimum of level one. Originally level one mental status effects are too weak to linger. The base duration of your genjutsu are increased by [1] post at E-C, [2] at B-A, and [3] at S and above. Instance genjutsu are not affected by an increase of duration but instead cannot be dispelled by kai and only by pain. Genjutsu upkeep lessens by [5] Chakra per body rank and non-Instant are applied with overwhelming, requiring lingering genjutsu to use [1.5x] the resource to Kai.

Interweaving Fairytales: Because the Sakkakugan is so adept at weaving genjutsu together they are afforded a unique version of self korabo which is done in place of a normal korabo between two illusions. When more than one genjutsu is on the target their ranks are shifted so that the lower ranked genjutsus get their strength bumped up to highest ranked genjutsu on the target for the rest of it's duration. This is only useable up to the users self ranked korabo level and each genjutsu is still treated as separate when interacting with kai. Any upkeeps are also increased to reflect this change. Otherwordly Imagery: Genjutsu performed by Emiko cannot be mimicked or reversed by any means. ( Genjutsu can still be broken, however. ) Mental Break: Emiko is able to use each Sakkakugan's "weakness" techniques twice instead of once. Doubtful Whispers: With her focus on auditory hallucinations, Emiko is able to cast any genjutsu through the sense of sound. Vicarious Visions: When a genjutsu deals with any elemental status that can be attributed, the target will suffer from the tier that is one rank below of the genjutsu cast. Any resources afflicted are only temporary, and given back when the genjutsu is kai'd or broken through some other means.

▱▰▱Based on what Yusuke went onto describe she assumed that he was referring to the Kogarashi battle with Arashi and the empire. She knew that as the son of Evergreen that Sandayu possessed divine abilities. She also knew that the Arashi shinobi were strong enough to challenge him much to her surprise. It made her feel guilty to some extent that she could not be there to help him. Although this was a mixed sense of guilt for her because she needed to stay out of harm's way during her pregnancy. Kagami continued to paw at Yusuke as he spoke and presented herself as fetchingly as possible. After some time spent thinking she would finally answer his question. "There was a collision of powerful forces in the Land of Lightning five years ago. So much so that the goddess Evergreen appeared and used her divinity to remove something called the RInnegan from existence. It's widely believed that such a high level of divine intervention damaged time itself. That is the explanation many people give for why some people are aging faster and slower than others." She tried to articulate succinctly what the prevailing interpretations of the history was among the shinobi. Although it was obvious to her that the samurai were somehow even more clueless than the shinobi. Kagami had her own ideas but kept them to herself for now considering how complicated the event was to explain.

Rinnegan? Strange aging? The shinobi world was a stranger place than Yusuke imagined, since the majority of those words did not make sense to him. He was going to question further when one of his advisers, a black haired man with round glasses, entered the tent. "Sir. I do not mean to intrude, but the sensors detected someone." Yusuke's eyes narrowed as his head raised. "Is it a spy from another clan?" He demanded. The man shook his head. "They do not have one of the clan's bloodlines. And their movements do not seem inspired by samurai training." Yusuke relaxed his jaw and took a sigh. "It's probably just a ninja then." An eyebrow rose at his adviser. "Why did you feel the need to alert me?" He asked. "The presence has a higher chakra value than usual, and they are hovering around the encampment. It may possibly be hostile." He stated. Yusuke turned to Kagami and looked at her. If he attacked her on the possibility of her being a threat, then he would have lost a trusted ally. He returned his stare to his adviser. "Send out two men as a welcome party. Offer the ninja food and shelter. If they attack, do not hesitate to strike them down. If they want to speak to me, allow them the audience." He said as the adviser bowed and headed out. Yusuke smirked as he turned back to Kagami. "We may have company. Maybe it'll be a friend of yours." He said jokingly. Since Kagami was a wanderer he knew that the odds of finding anyone who knew her was astronomical. Still, as he laughed with his ally, two armored samurai approached Emiko. The two relayed the information given to them by the adviser, and the offer was now open to her.
The sounds of the two in the tent carried on for some time, with Emiko lying low in the bushes close by. While she couldn't get an exact visual on them, Kagami's voice was the giveaway. The child swallowed hard as she couldn't help but shake a bit from fear. It was really the only thing keeping her from running away at this point. It coursed through her system, Emi chewing on the inside of her cheek nervously while beginning to slowly back away from the camp. It wasn't safe to be here, and the group of figures that had been circling the camp site didn't give her any confidence in herself to go and investigate further. She spun on her heel to go back the way she came, in the direction of the boat and its sandy place, and came face to face with a small group of men who seemingly were just waiting on her to notice their arrival. By how silent they had been (or how sloppy she was), Emiko guessed they had some amount of ninja training. At least, she assumed.
"Ah-I'm unarmed. Not attacking. I, uh...." Emiko sputtered out. Her mind was in a sort of haze with all the information that was being processed right about now. Kagami being alive, the man she spoke to, the voice in her head. It was just sort of a damn of things that were pushing onto her already pretty cracked mind. Instead of attacking and finishing her, they came bearing another option. Food and shelter? The lone girl arched an eyebrow at the offer. Sure it could be a trap, but they had food. Emiko slowly nodded and would allow the men to take her into the camp.
The food wasn't anything special. Emi wasn't expecting a 5 star buffet (she missed Yoshi's cooking) but on a partially empty stomach, anything tasted nothing short of divine. Ration after ration (mostly dry jerky, bread, some water, juice, etc.) was stuffed into her maw. "Sorry if I scared you." she said after four mouthfuls of food later. "I was, uh, passing by. And I saw the camp and heard somebody..." She trailed off, shaking her head. For once, the headache was gone and she appeared to have been mostly silent in the thought department. Her head craned around the camp and would lock onto the tent for a moment, then away. She held off on formalities, just in case she would need to use that card if they wanted to fatten her up before gutting her. The Uzu headband hanging from her waist sagged on her side. It was old, rusted over in some places, and the village symbol looked as stalwart as the village itself in its current shape. She gathered what little courage she had and would look over at whoever was nearby.
"Who are you? And what are you doing out here?"

When more than one genjutsu is on the target their ranks are shifted so that the lower ranked genjutsus get their strength bumped up to highest ranked genjutsu on the target for the rest of it's duration. This is only useable up to the users self ranked korabo level and each genjutsu is still treated as separate when interacting with kai. Any upkeeps are also increased to reflect this change. Otherwordly Imagery: Genjutsu performed by Emiko cannot be mimicked or reversed by any means. ( Genjutsu can still be broken, however. ) Mental Break: Emiko is able to use each Sakkakugan's "weakness" techniques twice instead of once. Doubtful Whispers: With her focus on auditory hallucinations, Emiko is able to cast any genjutsu through the sense of sound. Vicarious Visions: When a genjutsu deals with any elemental status that can be attributed, the target will suffer from the tier that is one rank below of the genjutsu cast. Any resources afflicted are only temporary, and given back when the genjutsu is kai'd or broken through some other means.

▱▰▱When the guards intruded, Kagami hopped off of Yusuke with a shade of red covering her cheeks in embarrassment. After straightening out the wrinkles in her clothing she sat down in a seat next to him at the desk. She listened to Yusuke state his orders to his men regarding the unexpected visitor the camp had. Why a ninja would end up on this particular island was puzzling for her. She also was in no hurry to run out there and greet them. When Yusuke joked about the ninja possibly being a friend of hers she would not respond. Kagami knew that her odds of being recognized by a native of the shinobi world was much more likely. After a few more seconds she figured out what her next move was. "I don't want to interact with any other ninjas while I'm on this Zaishin mission. Shinobi act in subterfuge and will not hesitate to harm me to get the upper hand." She said as she looked at him with concern in her eyes. "Besides, I'm sure they can wait till morning." Kagami then smiled to mask her worry that the individual may recognize her from one of the many bingo books she was still in. The enchantress knew that she needed to get out of here and toward Zaishin as soon as possible to avoid discovery. She also realized that Yusuke finding out about her Kogarashi history would be more than compromising for his trust in her. "Have the samurai not been impacted or not noticed the time break?" Kagami asked to change the subject but also because she desperately needed that information. She knew that others besides her son were aging quickly and assumed that it was worldwide. What would it mean if Zaishin was untouched by the disruption in time? If they were impacted by it then what did they make of it? These were all questions she was dying to have answers to.

Yusuke gave Kagami the faintest of a strange glance when she did not laugh along. He wanted to shrug it off to the somewhat sexual nature the two were engaged in when the adviser walked in, but there was something about the manner of which she described other ninja which alerted him to something more. Regardless, aside from the one passing glance, he would not show it. Whatever secrets she had were hers. As long as they didn't impact him. Before answering her question, Yusuke turned to the door. "Bring me Toshiro." He called out. There was a slight pause before a boy with blue hair entered the tent. "Everything okay Uncle?" The boy asked with wide eyes. He took one look at Kagami and blushed slightly with how beautiful she was. Yusuke smiled at his nephew as he stood up to meet him, "This is my guest, Kagami Hari. She is proving herself to be an ally to our cause. However, she says that other ninja can at times try to sabotage one another for personal gain. Since we cannot afford to fall behind to backstabbing, I want you to keep a close eye on our guest. If they intend to stick around, then I want you to befriend them." Yusuke leaned in and whispered something into his ear. Toshiro looked up and nodded as he headed out of the tent. Yusuke then ran a hand through his hair as he returned to Kagami. "As far as I know time was not broken or impacted in Zaishin. Although we have a clan of people who literally do not age, so time has always been a strange topic in my country." He said, thinking about the Hogosha clan. Yusuke decided that it was his turn to ask a question. "So this nation is divided between two villages, right? I recognize this land of water is rather neutral, but if we were attacked, which of the two major nations would we have to worry more about?" He asked.
Meanwhile, Toshiro took Yusuke's orders to heart and moved over to the girl. Her red hair was something he had not seen in a long time, and it made him think of a friend who was no longer with them. However, a smile crossed his face before he approached her to answer her question. "We're from Zaishin. And we're looking to save the world!" He said with his childish, chime like voice. As Toshiro approached from the right side he reached into his pocket and pulled out some of his prized candy. "The food here doesn't taste very good, so after a meal I usually eat one of these. You can have one, since it looks like you need a pick me up." He said softly. The girl in front of him looked like she had been hiking through a bog for the past several days. She desperately looked like she needed a shower or a warm bath. "My name's Toshiro. My uncle asked me to make sure you feel comfortable." Toshiro's eyes befell the strange symbol on the headband she wore. "Do all ninjas wear those things?" He asked as his train of thought failed him as the curiosity of a child overtook him.

Reports of unidentified sailing objects have traveled up the chain of command of the Water Country's prestigious navy, and the orders in response to those reports had just come down.
"So I'm supposed ta approach the possible enemy and ask them nicely what they're doing, eh?" the unimpressed admiral spat into the trash can besides him as he leaned back in his seat after receiving the radioed orders. He plopped his boots atop his desk and continued to insult the upper command, "Peh, what a bunch of sissies the top brass has become just because of some pissy weak a** empire that can't even know how to chew what its got in its mouth. We shoulda be firing on sight in this kinda case."
"S-sir, that's treasonous," an officer tried to advise. "And the water daimyo can take my treason and shove it up her a**!" to articulate, he flipped the middle finger up at the rookie officer and stomped his feet down back on the ground, "She would probably still be a seasick land lubber if it hadn't ta been for me teaching her how to sail!" The cowed officer quickly retreated a step back and lowered his head, mumbling out an indistinct, "Sorry, sir." The first mate, on the other hand, stepped up and coolly asked, "So sir, will we be firing on the invading force?". Standing up now, the admiral flipped on his coat and gruffly answered the obviously rhetorical question, "Of course not! I like my bollocks where they are, up here on board and not in Davy Jones' locker. We listen to that gray-haired c**t's orders and trust she knows what she's doing. Get ready one of the smaller boats to approach the island." "Who shall we send as a messenger to request a meeting?" "Bah! Waste of time! I'll go myself. Just tell me which ship is ready first and I'll get going right away. You will stay here in case these sneaky rats decide to do me in." "Understood, sir. I will arrange it right away as well as a meeting to brief the rest of the fleet." The admiral merely snorted.
Now cowed and confused, the officer watched as the first mate and admiral went their separate ways, the first mate to handle the affair of selecting a ship and the admiral to... Well, it soon became apparent that he was cussing the rest of the crew into shape to get them ready for his absence. The first mate proceeded to jot down the name of several officers that he did not need to call into the meeting on the grounds that the admiral was already giving them a thorough briefing of what was to happen.
The new officer ran to catch up to the first mate, "Um... What... He...," to try and fail to ask what had just happened. The first mate, all too used to this sort of exchange, answered curtly, "Despite the admiral's rough language, he is an exemplary commanding officer. Now, please pass along this message to the captains of the other ships in the fleet."
Using only one ship of the patrol fleet he lead, Admiral Adassbay approached the island that lay in a gray area of the Water Country's new borders, after the Lightning Empire absorbed a sizable number of their islands. Unless stopped, he anchored the small naval ship off the coast of the island, near where the Seiryu ships had docked, and waited for nearly half an hour to gauge the reaction of the Seiryuu fleets. Anything short of receiving outright attack and the admiral would proceed with his plans: jumping off his ship and walking the rest of the way to shore alone, over the ocean water. Though he used the water walking technique attributed to shinobi in this part of the world, he neither looked nor held himself like one of such shadow agents, striding forwards with solid, stalwart steps straight through the docked fleet. He would stop for only two reasons, if he noticed a defense being readied for him or when he reached shore. At such a point, he would state his purpose, "I am here, by the Water Daimyo's orders, to ask what the hell you skinny dipping twats are doing in our nation's waters," in a loud, clear voice that could not possibly be misunderstood.
He had no idea where the main command tent was. He hadn't bothered to wait and hide long enough to get intel like that. However, he was here, at the very least in view of the ships. Certainly, someone had been left to guard the fleet, and if so, that lackey can go ahead and deliver his message to whoever had the damn authority to speak to him.
Emiko perked up at the sight of another person her age. This blue haired boy offered her a smile and answered her probing questions. "Zaishin?" she repeated, blinking her eye while her mind continued to mull about in order to find out where that place might have been. Certainly no place she would have knowledge of. "I've never heard of it. Is it close by?" The boy would even offer her some after meal candies to get that foul aftertaste out of her mouth. Emi's hand accepted a candy and popped it into her mouth with haste. The delicious taste brought back bitter memories of Uzu, and while it was a kind gesture, Emiko was still on edge with the given situation. Better to get the read on people than vice versa and all. "Thank you." she said, plain and simply. His eyes fell onto her headband as the girl would only move to trace her hand across it after the question had been asked.
"They do." Emiko began. "A headband displays what village you're a part of. This one-" The girl hesitated, but untied it from her waist and handed it over to the boy for him to inspect. Why did she care? The village was long gone by this point anyway. Maybe it was just sentimental value? The headband sat in his hands, the worn material and rusted metal evident in some parts. "Is of Uzushiogakure. It's been destroyed ever since Kogarashi attacked. I used to serve there with my friends...until I left." She looked into the crackling campfire while Emiko would let out a forlorn sigh. "I lost too many people I knew. Teachers, students, genin. When they were packing up, I left and never went back." She half lied. The part Emiko had omitted was "until I went back and found this weird voice in my head that tells me to do things" but something about that statement might send the wrong message to everybody. "Is...there a place to take a shower? Or a bath? Anything to get the stench of swamp off of my clothes?"

The illusionist chooses [1] Sense of Specialization that will render a genjutsu cost [1] rank less if the casted genjutsu's primary sense is their specialization. Genjutsu that use the illusionist's Sense of Specialization as the primary sense become resistant to the sensory powers of sages and non-Infinite Perception discipline scholars. This resistance means that the genjutsu will go unnoticed from these abilities. ▱▰▱Kagami was finally able to relax when the focus went off of her. Yusuke called in his nephew causing her to smile at how cute he was. When he blushed at her she gave him a small wave. Once he left she looked back at Yusuke and thought deeply about the implications of Zaishin not being impacted by the time break. She was broken from her contemplative trance when he asked her a question of his own. "For a very long time there were five major nations named after the five elements with shinobi villages in each of them. There were many more countries and villages that were much smaller that rose in revolt against the big five. And then ten years ago the world changed, the uprising was defeated but the nations collapsed. Now there are two big shinobi empires of fire and lightning. Lightning claims control of the Water Country but the old daimyo who was once independent does as well." The second part of his question about who to worry about required a second answer. "The lightning empire is barely holding onto anything that isn't full of their factories. This includes the Water Country. We only have to be careful of the old daimyo and his forces though. He'll do just about anything to get his power back." She still had a bone to pick with that despot after what happened to Kirigakure but that was a topic she wanted to avoid at this time.

Toshiro watched with wide eyes Emiko relay the trauma and sorrows she, as well as these forgotten people of Uzushiogakure, have suffered at the hands of the nefarious group. The pain she experienced made him recall the trauma the entire Seiryu clan felt when their whole life was uprooted because of the tension which arose from the unjust actions of Seizo and his tyrannical reign. When Emiko asked for a shower Toshiro forced a smile in order to escape his thoughts. "Of course! Feel free to use our facilities! We can talk more after, and I'll tell you all about Zaishin." He said as he pointed toward to where the forces set up proper bathing chambers. It was then, however, that two forces stumbled through the encampment. "ALERT! INTRUDER ALERT!"
The alarm from the two guards would reach Yusuke and Kagami just as soon as she explained the military situation within the world of shinobi. There was something which interested him about how the ninja world was divided into the five elements like the five samurai heads were divided by the five elements, but apparently such coincidences needed to be pushed aside. He stood and turned to the door as his adviser returned into the room. "My lord. The scouts report that it is an admiral from the water daiymo. He is demanding that we answer to his authority." He said urgently. Yusuke looked at Kagami and then back at the adviser. A smirk crossed his face like a cat spotting a mouse. "I guess we now know what, "Just about anything" means to this daiymo." He said as he moved past Kagami and grabbed his twin katanas. He figured that he would not need them, but he rather be prepared than blindsighted. "Ninja try to sabotage one another while on missions, correct? Since this admiral is trying his hand at a power play, it's fair to assume that he'll try to get in your way as well. So you rest up, and I'll see what the big bad admiral wants with us." He said with a wink. Yusuke gave his adviser a discerned look, and with it he knew that it was now his duty to stay behind and protect Kagami.
Meanwhile, Yusuke moved past his troops and straight to his half a dozen patrol soldiers. The samurai did not draw their blades, but they stood in a line to prohibit the man from moving any closer to their camp. After all, there were women and children in the camp area, and they had to be protected with everything. "At ease men!" Yusuke commanded as he stood directly in front of his platoon. The samurai all stood straight and eased their bodies. Yusuke kept his hands on his belt as he looked at the admiral with only a few feet of distance between them. "Greetings Admiral." He said cocky with a little salute before returning his hand to his belt. "If I am correct in my information, this land really isn't yours, right? It's kind of property of the land of lightning, and that's own by someone else?" He repeated, clearly trying to get a rouse out of him. After all, dumb men are more likely to speak while they're angry than they are while stoic. "Or maybe my sources are outdated. If you want to clarify, then by all means. Once you prove that you and your, "Daiymo" have any sort of authority here, then I will have no qualms explaining what my people and I are doing here." He said.
