xxxPERSONALITYxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

Attentive
Pairing with one of her strengths, being detail-oriented, Abe tends to focus on subtle and most of the time meaningless tidbits of information that the world is constantly giving out. The pitch of someone's voice, how they usually express themselves, or another irregularity is something that she'd be able to perceive.

Independent
Being headstrong comes an internal drive that keeps her on her feet. The need to keep going, to keep succeeding, and the desire for more shaped her into a functional child. She can make her own meals when she's hungry, and knows her limits when it comes to exhaustion. She doesn't enjoy being told what she can figure out for herself, and disregards it.

Straightforward
Aubrey doesn't take the time to play the social games that come as a prerequisite in most social circles. She's blunt and straight to the point, and if she finds a conversation tiring will jump to the end. This applies with conversations she's close to if she has the appropriate information, cutting through the niceties and delivering the hard blow.

Private
She has a hard time opening up to anyone. Abe hasn't had a person she can really sit down and discuss how she feels before, and doesn't plan on searching someone out for that purpose. She keeps to herself, and is comfortable with it.

Impulsive
Abe's the kind of child to take the punches as they come, rather than being able to lay out a functional plan. She can fake her way through most things, but she tends to overwhelm herself without a set purpose. Most often it's the first option that she'll take, even when that option results in undesirable consequences.

Selfish
If she can be benefited she will take it. It could be as simple as getting a chocolate frog to agree for someone to sit next to her. She wouldn't be apposed to cheating, bribery, or misinformation if it got her what she wanted.

■ Brutal Honesty
■ Memory Magic
■ Gardening

DISLIKES
■ bureaucratic professionals
■ cleaning
■ traditional holidays
■ wasted time and talent

STRENGTHS
■ Detail Oriented
Abe's a tree person instead of a forest person. She takes more pride and enjoyment out of making things perfect pixel by pixel than how it looks in the end. As long as the pixels are perfect she's okay with what the end product is.
■ Dedicated
She does not drop a task when she's given it. She doesn't give up on a friendship or relationship until the other side decides to shut it down.

WEAKNESSES
■ Vengeful
Once someone has crossed her path she doesn't have the capability of forgiving. Her revenge isn't violent but can be quite harmful.
■ Control Freak
Abe tends to take control of a task she's given that she cares about, crunching it down and micro-managing. She has little desire to give control to anyone else when it's a group project and retaliates when someone goes against the plan she makes.

FEARS
■ fear of abandonment.
■ fear in the loss of control.
■ somniphobia. fear of sleep, falling asleep. her nights are restless with the thought of not knowing what happens while she's asleep; as well as the fear of the vivid dreams that arise for her.

xxxBACKSTORYxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

EARLY CHILDHOOD

The only child of Mariette and Antonio, Aubrey was the reason her parents tied the knot. Mariette worked hard in the Ministry, while her father spent most of his time struggling with a depression that set in after the little girl was born. Her father turned to drink to deal with the unrelenting negative emotions. They were kind parents, and did everything that they were able to for their child. When her mom died in a work related incident before the girl's birthday it was made clear that the hands of her father weren't the best for her.

When she turned five her guardianship was transferred to her childless Uncle Harve and Aunt Lori, with little memory of her parents. The aunt and uncle owned an owlery that had been in the family for generations; a mom and pop shop that held about twenty to fifty owls at a time depending on the season. She grew to love the small fluffy creatures and connected more with them than anyone she was introduced to on her guardian's outings. She was emotionally closed to new situations, even with the kind prodding of her parents to get her to open up and be a kid- it just wasn't in her.
She was an analytical child, one that took the time to sit down and question why things worked the way they did. She questioned authority; which her guardians encouraged.

With the letter that came in to enter Hogwarts, Harve was ecstatic. He recalled all the glory days that he had when he had attended, and Aunt Lori chimed in with the silly rivalries that her sister Mariette had with a few Slytherin boys. Abe was more interested in staying at their owlery and learn the simple practice that they had going, but after some convincing and "kids your age will be good for you" talks she agreed.
