A protected park located almost in the center of the village, Maple Meadows earned it's name due to the large quantity of Sugar Maple trees that can be found within it's boundaries. Seeing the value of preserving such a gift of nature Lahlil had the grounds sanctioned off and allows any in the village to come and harvest sap from the trees, or to simply spend time reflecting.

"She's wrong!" Komo shouted the birds flew off in the startlement of a loud noise. "Wrong wrong wrong!" She started swinging at a poor tree, her knuckles burning but she didn't care. Leaves rustling with each hit. "They aren't dead!" Insects scattering away at the sudden vibrations and impacts. Squirrels watching from afar and hoping that the threat wasn't going to go them. With another hit on the tree that was now blood-stained from her beat-up knuckles, "They are fine, we are going to finish trading with Konohagakure and then we will be back on the roads. She's wrong. She got the wrong family," panted Komo as she took a break from beating up the tree. Komoriuta was doing all she could to convince herself that the lady was wrong.
But deep down inside, she somehow knew. Knew that she was right. Her family was gone. She could feel the hole in her heart. It's been there since her mother placed her on Tenshi's back and despite all her screaming, kicking, mane pulling, for him to turn back, Tenshi continued to run. She felt it there. That something was wrong. Her arm picked up as she took a break from punching the wooden trunks as she wiped her eyes aggressively with her arm.

tab Happily meandering his way through the meadow, Shojiro couldn't have felt more at home. All the fresh air and vibrant plant life was just the refresher he needed after his morning assisting at the hospital. Taking a pause to really take in the fullness of the environment, he took in a deep breath and slowly released it with a soft sigh. Surely, this was the most peaceful place in the whole village.........or so he thought.
tab"She's wrong!"
tab This loud outburst was followed by a splintering thud and Shojiro watched as a small flock of birds took to the sky. 'Well that can't be good.' he thought. Clearly, something had startled them and if he was being honest, he shared in their "flight-over-fight" mentality. However, despite his instincts telling him that he should make like the birds and clear out, he decided that he should investigate the matter. After all, if he was going to be a shinobi, he couldn't just run away at the first sign of trouble. Besides, as long as he was stealthy, he could always leave and go get help if he felt he was in too far over his head.
tab Carefully creeping his way through the meadow, Shojiro used the vegetation to conceal his presence, moving about between the trees, rocks, and bushes. As he made his way closer and closer to the disturbance, he could hear the person's continued shouts and the splintering of wood growing louder and louder. This did little to relieve his anxiety, his heart rate increasing with each step. By the time he arrived on the scene, it felt like his heart was going to burst through his chest, hidden behind a tree as he watched a girl who appeared to be around his age cry out and slam her fists into one of the trees. He could see the damage that she was doing to her hands but she didn't see to care, throwing fist after fist into the hard bark of the tree. He couldn't quite understand the words that she was saying but regardless, he definitely felt like he was in over his head.
tab After a flurry of blows, the girl finally came to a halt, her arms falling to her side. She then seemed to break down, Shojiro looking on as she began to weep. Now the question was, what was he to do? Clearly she was upset about something but he wasn't quite sure he had the necessary social tact properly handle the situation. At the same time, his conscious wouldn't allow him to leave her in such a state. Thus, swallowing his nerves, Shojiro forced himself to step out from behind the tree that had hidden him up until this point. "E-excuse me. Are you uh ..... Are you okay?" he asked her, his voice shaky and filled with anxiety. He would instantly come to regret these words. 'Come on, Shoji. She's out here in the forest screaming at the sky and punching trees. Clearly she's not okay.' he thought, mentally chastising himself.
tab Hoping to recover from this blunder, Shojiro quickly tried to change the subject of their conversation. "Y-your hand. It's hurt." he squeaked out, his voice cracking halfway through. Yet another brilliant observation, further proving just out of his wheelhouse he was. "I-I can mend that for you if you want." he said, his voice growing quiet as his eyes fell to the floor. It was the most constructive thing he had offered so far, but at this point, he had personally destroyed what little confidence he had going into this situation. Honestly, he just hoped that she didn't turn her fist on him for interrupting her.
Komoruita ran much faster than Mariko gave her credit for. Nearly losing her, it was only due to the shouting of Komo's unmistakable voice that little Koko was able to navigate through the forest and find her brutally punching a tree. Now, normally in this situation, Mariko's sympathy would lean to the tree, but Komoruita's bloodied and battered knuckles proved that it was holding up well to her emotional-fueled strength. "K-komo! Stop!"
Within shouting distance, yet still quite a bit of ways from her grieving friend, she sprinted up to her side. Or, she would have, if it weren't for the sudden appearance of another child their who appeared to be around their age. Apparently her shouting and attempted tree battery attracted more than just a pair of bloodied fists. This girl was especially pretty, with long pink hair and soft green eyes. They seemed genuinely concerned for Komo in her emotional state, offering to tend to her wounds. By this time Mariko would be at Komo's side, "W-what happened back at the office? Are you okay?" Her attention then turned to the pink-haired girl, waiting to see just how she'd go about helping Komoruita with her wounds. If they were here to help, Mariko saw no reason not to trust them, despite this individual being a complete stranger.
I know Shoji is a boy, but from Mariko's perspective - until its changed - he's a girl.

Just like that, the candle was sparkled alive again as she started to whale upon the poor chosen tree, not caring that her knuckles were bruised, swollen, and stained with blood as well brown from the mapley sap of the tree. After a few punches, even her arm was starting to throb from the excessive energy as her hand fell to her side. Falling backward as she landed on her butt on the grass. Her lower lip went into her mouth as she started to chew on it. Just... sitting there, in defeat, glaring into nothing.

tab It was clear from her assault on the surrounding landscape that the girl was in a heightened emotional state. Shoji was well aware of this. However, even knowing that he was walking into a tricky situation, he still wasn't prepared for her to turn on him with such ferocity. "I don't want to be mended!" Her shouting startled him, causing him to step back and trip over a protruding tree root. Now sitting on the ground, he frantically began to scoot back until his back was against the tree he had previously been standing behind. He wanted to put as much distance between the two of them without taking his eyes off of her, in case she decided to come after him.
tab With terrified eyes, Shoji watched as another girl arrived on the scene, calling the other girl by name. It seemed that the two knew each other in some capacity. At the very least, this new girl was able to get the other girl's attention off of him. Seeing this opening, Shoji quickly scrambled to his feet and scurried back behind the tree that had now become something of a safe haven for him. His breathing heavy and panicked, he listened as the sound of splintering bark once more rang through the air. As the girl returned to wail against the trees, Shoji would remain perfectly still, petrified at the thought of what fate he might meet if he were to further upset her.
tab Eventually, silence fell upon the forest once more, signalling the end of the girl's rampage, or at least, a momentary reprieve. Swallowing the lump that had formed in his throat, Shoji slowly peered out from behind the tree, looking for visual confirmation the the girl had indeed ended her outburst. Sure enough, there she was, sitting on the ground, silently staring off into the distance. This was his chance. If he made a break for it now, he could probably make a clean get away and pull himself out of the mess that he had so foolishly gotten himself mixed up in. And yet, he didn't. His mind was screaming at him to run and yet his feet weren't moving. As much as the girl terrified him, he could see the grief beneath her rage and it pulled at his heart strings. He just couldn't leave her in such a state, even if it meant getting his lights knocked out.
tab Sheepishly, Shoji emerged from behind the tree and began inching his way towards the girls. He took each step with the utmost care and delicacy, worried that even the most subtle sound of a twig snapping could be enough to set Komo off once more. Stopping about five feet from the pair, Shoji turned his attention other girl, giving her something of a pleading look. The last time he had spoke, it went horribly wrong and now that he was even closer, he didn't want to risk repeating the same mistake. He hoped that the other girl could perhaps serve as a mediator for him, calming Komo down enough for her to allow him to heal her wounds.

Instead of reporting straight to the academy like she was supposed to, the blue haired female was squatting before the wild flowers as there was clicking sounds. She was taking pictures. Stood up, she looked into the pictures. A bitter sigh escaped from her lips. She wasn't satisfied with the pictures. Hmm. What was wrong with the pictures. Maybe try a different angle? One hand free, she glanced up towards the sky with her hand slightly shielding and protecting her eyes from the bright sun. Might be the light. With that, she moved over to the left a bit and her knee was down to the ground. Her elbows close to her torso to keep from shaking as she snapped few more pictures. Let's see how they turn out. She once again checked the pictures. Oh. They were much better. The colors were more vibrant. It was the light after all. With a satifsifed smile, she headed down into the forest to take more pictures.
A gasped was heard as she was stunned to this little sunspot. To normal people, it was nothing but to her, it was perfect. With a squeal, she laid down onto the sunspot and glanced up towards the sky. Holding the camera up and her arms were once again at her side to keep it steady, she took pictures of the sky, shaded with tree branches, the leaves.. rustling... it was all just perfect. There was beauty in it all.
So what if she was a bit late for the academy?
Her eyelids closed for a moment. Just a moment. How much time had passed? She feels good and well-rested. Opened her eyelids, a gasp escaped her lips as the sun had moved rather drastically. Oh no! Scrambled as she got up and started to pack the camera away, she immediately headed towards the academy. She didn't want to be late to meet Chosuke and Shikarie!

For a moment esuka found himself leaning against a tree as he reflected once more upon everything he had learned the last couple days. He closed his eyes momentarily as he felt the wind blow across his face. Who am I really? Can I truly do anything about what is happening in the leaf? The thought however was fleeting as he pushed himself off of the tree. All he could do for now was train and prepare for whatever may be ahead. He concentrated his chakra as he formed and hand sign and four golf ball sized flames appeared around him as they floated around in a circle. He gestured them outwards and directed them towards various objects in the park. As three of the fireballs hit their targets he brought the fourth towards him as he held it in his hand. As he engulfed his hand in the flame he winced a little as he allowed his body to get used to his own flames.

Content that he was okay he hurled a kunai at one of the trees as he snapped his finger a spark would appear next to the tree almost as if he wanted to create a bit of a distraction. As he did so esuka ran towards the tree and clapped his hands together. His action would allow a white hot flash to appear as he aimed his palms towards the tree the action would blind someone if they appeared directly at it. He used the tree as a spring board as he ran up it and did a backflip. As he did so he felt the chakra swell in his lungs as he spewed a flame towards the ground underneath him. It dissipated almost as quickly as it appeared as he landed on the ground he noticed the slight seer marks that were left in its wake.

Quickly forming another hand seal esuka blew out a cloud of combustible mist. As he did so he launched three shuriken and quickly coated them in flames. He watched them meet the combustible cloud as the explosion filled the air in front of him. However as the flame cleared he noticed the shuriken themselves had indeed still found their mark in the trees he had intended. He then felt the ball of flame as it rose in his hand as he attempted a few open palm attacks. When he released the ball it exploded in his palm as it attempted to blind and seer whoever he wanted to hit.

He could feel the heat of the flames with every technique but the heat no longer affected him. As he took out one of his tessen's he spun it on his finger as he imbued it with fire chakra as he launched it he watched as the flaming tessen rapidly spun through the air looking to seer and slice whatever it may come into contact with. Esuka caught the fan and as he did so he quickly formed the hand seals before cupping his finger in front of his mouth as he exhaled a cone shaped flame in front of him. Within a second both his tessen's were out and clapped together as their concussive blast extended the flames range out about sixty feet.

Once more he flashed the hand seals and placed cupped his finger around his lips as he expelled a huge fireball. As it traveled he could feel the heat expelled from it as it scorched whatever it touched. He didn't take time to praise himself however as the hand seals flew from his hands as he held the last sign. As the flames swirled around him he looked as they toward over him as though he were in the center of a vortex. Still he held the sign and his concentration as the flame on the ground found the rock he had sent it after. He watched as it seemed to engulf the rock before his entire technique dispersed itself.

Esuka felt himself needing a break but still pushed a little farther as he slapped the ground. The four baseball sized flames which sprung from the earth acted as though to play hide and seek as they danced around the park looking for a target. He took a quick breath as the fireballs disappeared and he let the chakra flow through his body as whatever burns were left from the techniques quickly disappeared. He knew he shouldn't push himself so hard but his parents wouldn't have it any other way.

Esuka found himself looking through the park for a couple varieties of herbs and a particular mushroom. As he found his ingredients he used his chakra to meld them together in the shape of a food pill. He couldn't help but look at the round ball as he sat at the base of one of the trees. "Well here goes nothing."His words were brief as he popped the pill into his mouth. Luckily for him it didn't actually taste that bad and almost immediately he began to feel his exhaustion melt away and his chakra surge from the benefits of the pill.

Once more he esuka focused his chakra as he spewed a flame from his mouth. Before it touched the ground it formed into a spider which began to scurry off. As he released the jutsu he watched as it exploded in a ten foot diameter as it seered whatever it touched. He again wove another set of hand signs as he watched. The form of a roof floor and bars all sprang to life as the cage of fire spanned forty square feet. He smirked as he looked at the massive burning structure. As he released the cage he looked around to see if anyone were watching.

As he saw it was clear he couldn't help himself but to try a couple things he had been curious about. It didn't take long until he found a target. The toad bounded around as he snuck up on it unsuspectingly as he let the chakra seep into his hand he grasped the toad as he could sense the panic which now ran through the defenseless animal. The trauma escalated as it tried it's hardest to squirm from his hands. However it was for not and as he once more switched his chakra the felt the fire base quickly eradicate the toad into nothing as it disappeared from his grasp.

The day was young and it was quite early outside, even in the manner of doing missions. However, Zeshin wished to get an early start and leave his home before his father or brother had gotten out of bed. The first thing he was going to do today was clear out several of the low-ranking missions from the board that didn't seem worth the time. He had taken them a day ago, before heading home from ninjutsu practice. The first mission was to pull weeds around the village. It didn't seem like much, but it improved several locations of muscles throughout his body if he did it for long enough and took breaks between each area he moved through. Pulling the weeds wasn't the hardest part of the task though. He thought ahead this time and brought a couple of large bags. Unfortunately he wasn't as prepared as he thought he had been.. yesterday.. when he started pulled weeds and got scolded by a woman who asked him what he was going to do with them after he pulled them. So.. today.. Zeshin had thought of everything.
He started close to the trees. The trees were going to be the hardest part. This was because of having to move around them as the task continued through the hours of the early morning. Right now it was quiet and people were still sleeping. It was the best time of day. With each weed he yanked out of the ground, he tossed it into the bag. He had tied the bag to his waist at first, but as he collected more and more, the bag ripped open and weeds went everything. Now that it was tied to his back, he had nothing to worry about. And as he moved throughout the area, it didn't appear that he would have any more issues with the cleanup. From one zone of trees to the next, he picked and picked until it looked amazing. The only downside he came across after finishing a few zones was that he had not gathered the weeds in the open areas between all the trees. Zeshin couldn't help but sigh and moved back through the zones one at a time to grab and pull on each weed he had missed. The job had been fairly basic, but he wasn't going to allow that to get him down. He had to remember that with each mission completed, it put him closer to reaching the next stage of his life.
Zeshin kept up his happy thoughts as the mission took him through the morning and into the noon positioning of the sun above him. Luckily it wasn't very hot on him because the trees were keeping him under their shade, too. The young boy moved about from side to side and top to bottom as he collected the weeds, bagged them and then started a new bag. He continued until the entire area was finished and it was time for a break. He considered a few things, but ended up taking out his lunch and eating around all the hard work he had put into the last few hours. The grass looked nice and the trees could be seen perfectly all around him. He wanted to do more, but right now this was all he wanted to do. There was always tomorrow, if the mission requester needed it. For now, he had managed to clear the areas requested and only needed to dispose of the weeds. After lunch, he would use this location to practice some of the techniques he listed on his training scroll and try to improve his own skills through the hard work it took him to do so. He absolutely needed to get better at his primary skills if he was going to be able to go on more difficult missions alone or with a team.
Now that lunch had been eaten and he had rested long enough to allow it to settle, Zeshin took out his training scroll and noted the first technique he needed to practice. He was going to try and devote as much time to his training as he had to his mission. That would put the time to about that of dinner and the time for him to go back home. He didn't really wish to be at home to hear about the greatness of the clan, but he still enjoyed being around his family since they had remained the same and it placed his mind at some level of ease.
Zeshin started with reading over the basic skills section of his scroll. It would be out of character for him to learn techniques so quickly, so he would continue practicing each technique outside of view from people he knew so that he could practice more later. However, the first skill he needed to acquire was the escape skill. Ninja were no doubt going to be drawn into combat and losing would eventually take place with how strong everyone had gotten. Being bound and taken prisoner was one of the topics at the academy as well and this was one of the techniques for how to get himself free. It didn't take much, but it looked like it used chakra to loosen the bindings. He would take care to remember this technique for when the situation took place against him. Another of the basic techniques was temporary body paralysis. It had the unique effect of using chakra to stop someone from moving for a short period of time. It was very interesting to Zeshin how chakra could be applied in such a unique way as to be pushed out from the body to stop someone's movements. He wondered if the Sharingan of his clan could do the same thing since it could send chakra from the eyes into the eyes of another to place them in a genjutsu. The method seemed very similar, but not being a possessor of the Sharingan kept him from understanding it to the level the others might already. Either way, this ability to send chakra into another to freeze their movements seemed very useful in battle. The last technique on his list was the genjutsu release technique and it was one of the most important for him. Being in a family of Uchiha who specialized in genjutsu usage, due to their Sharingan, it meant more to Zeshin to have a technique like this that could dispel those genjutsu from his mind, even if he wasn't aware of it from the start. The technique actually flooded the chakra network to release a person from the invading chakra of the genjutsu user.
Having learned how to use those techniques, it was time to build upon that knowledge and lean right into the fire style techniques and how they were used. His scroll was especially helpful because it described how to use the technique and the correct methods to the movements and hand seals. Flame resistance was a key technique that he would need to even begin using the other techniques. It consisted of protecting himself from the harmful effects of the style of technique that burned everything around it. And for these techniques, burning was going to be very prevalent and was one of the reasons why he didn't practice them much in the sight of others. Even in this forest, he wasn't quite sure if he should practice them, so he would just take the time to read and study how they were used and what that would mean for him once he got the chance to use them. Mist waltz was a unique technique that actually did not burn anything though it did spread the flammable material so that it could be set ablaze. He'd have to judge the correct distance before using something like this. If it got too dispersed around him, he might hurt himself or objects that shouldn't be harmed, like houses. Either way, this technique could be useful with anything. Even the spark of two weapons meeting at high speeds would set a technique like this off. Zeshin needed to be careful. Flame spread was more of his type of technique and the next one listed on his scroll. It actually allowed him send his chakra into a weapon so that it would be consumed by fire. Though this would not destroy or harm the weapon, it would make quite a sight to see in action. It might even be too much for training purposes since flames could get into someone's eyes. He didn't want that to happen, so this would be another technique he'd practice on his own. And finally was a technique that should have been known by all the Uchiha clan members before they entered into the academy, if possible. The great fireball technique was a symbol of the clan and one that Zeshin had questioned a few times. The fan symbol of the Uchiha seemed more to signify wind than fire, but that question always seemed to spark a conversation that wasn't entirely interesting. Either way, the great fireball technique was a massive technique that was more than three times Zeshin's size and needed an open area to practice later, too. For now, he would just read about it and deal with things later. It always looked like a powerful technique. He supposed that was more so because he wasn't very strong in ninjutsu usage.
The other techniques were more hands on like dynamic entry, dynamic action and tackle charge. As Zeshin read over those, it seemed they were the basics of Konoha's own unique style of taijutsu. They were simple movements that caused damage based on how much effort was put into them. They seemed very easy to perform, but they would have to be tested later, too. There were so many different ones to read about before he moved on to another mission.

His index finger lifted up, forearm lifting itself slowly out of the shadows of the cloak he adorned, half-trying to hide in the almost heavily blackened crimson hues that seeped through everything minus the lights that decorated the village. A quick sizzle sparked from the surface near his index, lighting a small flame into the lantern he held in right now, expanding slightly before it gave off the constant but warm glow of flame. Two sets of footsteps shuffled through the town before the markings indicated the park was just a few paces ahead. "Could never imagine never being able to ever see the light of day again, Noel. Seems a little ridiculous sometimes." The comment definitely came off as rhetorial, but he knew his cousin always had something to say to anything, even if it was actually just nothing- but why. How long had it been now since this eclipse took over anyway? Normally you'd be able to easily walk around and discern your surroundings of course, it wasn't pitch black. In the world of heavy forestation though, light was barely able to make its way near, not having the sun itself to cast enough rays of light onto the swarms of shadows. "Here's an okay spot for now, I guess." Yomonaru didn't want to go into the thick of the trees, eyeing one of the trunks just near the entrance of the park. His free hand plucked out a kunai, aiming its blade into the brunt of the bark, wedging the weaponry in enough to give itself enough hold to balance the lantern against. The Uchiha just took a deep sigh, staring at the glow still emanating from the perched lantern. "Ka...ton."

INDENTKaton.. The proudly uttered word gave birth unto a powerful, although dim flame. Poetically providing the Uchiha a light within the darkness. Golden irises swayed from the heavens towards the ever expanding light. Bathed in the blessings of fire, Noel would be revealed. "What if we didn't.." Nothing made sense about this eclipse and it bothered him. "Don't you find it odd, Cousin?" It was so sudden, in a time thought to be clear of any eclipses, let alone one of this magnitude. Splashes of darkened crimson intermingled with Noel's visage in a fiendish, albeit quintessential aura. Fitting. Arms crossed for a brevity, right rising the slightest amount. Allowing for his thumb to gently graze bottom lip. "I have a bad feeling about all of this, Yomonaru." Devilishly golden, crimson tinged hues gazed onto the younger kinsmen. Things had been tight recently, everyone on edge. While things were relatively 'normal' it didn't take a genius to realize the heavy eeriness plaguing the village. They had been privileged to enjoy this time of peace, after such a chaotic and devastating war, it left The Uchiha to wonder... How long could peace be maintained?

xxxxxxxxxxxxxโ Story Thus Far | Wind slowly began to creep up, causing some of the branches above their heads to sway and whistle with the motion. The lanterns flame was in constant flux of being pulled away and almost vanishing into the breeze, but then snapping right back into place centered still within that lantern. "Odd? It definitely isn't normal." A gust of wind muffled the sound of any audible sigh escaping him. Yomonaru started to crouch down, dragging his finger through clearings of dirt. Nothing in particular was drawn, just constantly with a circular motion, warping around like a pool of earth. "Maybe it's an omen. One day, everything is fine like you'd imagine. Then this happens and we have no idea? What if it's one those end-all phenomenon." Questions always came off as rhetorical even with Noels always happy to oblige. This crimson color that sparked in the sky, deafened in brightness from the actual eclipse behind it- red was encompassing everything.Was everyone going to be taken out by one big...god? What happened if this didn't end soon? Things couldn't sustain much longer than what, a few days, maybe a week? Food supply? What was going to happen to the things that depended on normal way of life? The circling stopped abruptly, Yomonaru thankfully having his face be hidden from even the small amber glow. He worries bombarded him, controlled but deep breathing trying to quiet meddle with an ever occurring wave of anxiety. "Definitely odd."

INDENTCold wicked winds blew ever stronger. Howling a dark melody that sent a shiver down his spine. W-What if it was the Apocalypse.. Silence crept its awkward presence unto the darkened meadow. Eye's stared into the distance, empty gaze displaying that his conscious had been caught up with the question presented. Lips parted faintly, an empty breath birthed into existence. Life flooded his unique irises, confidently looking towards Yomo. "Then we should prepare to slay God." Arrogant, yet confidently spoken. In it's own warped way, the sentiment was comforting. Assuring on the subliminal level that his cousin needn't worry. Together they could conquer even the heavens, as there forefathers had done before them. "Well.. Whatever the case. It would be best that we prepare ourselves for the worst."

xxxxxxxxxxxxxโ Story Thus Far | "Did he just say to 'prepare to slay God?" The words alone pulled back from the spell that overcame Yomonaru just moments ago. "Slay God?" Yeah-" The Uchiha stood back up, patting his cloak as he went to walk back toward the kunai that held up the lantern. A quick groan once he leaned forward, pulling out the blade of the kunai that was still firmly split within the tree. Making sure to grab the lantern with the only free arm, he looked to Noel. "Yeah maybe you can slay God with this right here. Sure God hates kunai." Yomonaru shook his head, pointing the weapon right in front of his face, but meters apart where the most he could do was look at it. Unless he fell forward several feet in an instant at least. Before Noel could say anything to the comment, effortless the gripping loosened completely, with nothing but the soft thud of metal digging into the ground floor below. "Believe it or not though, I suppose you are right, cousin. If this whole..." He threw his arm carelessly through the air. "thing...is something that is within a human beings control, you're right I mean. If it's something we go to sleep tonight to and then we just don't I don't know- that's just it and we aren't here to even witness tomorrow. That's what is kinda scary." Once again with the brush of wind against the thick brush and leaves, Yomonaru's voice would trail off. Why was this all happening now?
