The hatching over and done with C'ryn had left Aresoth to his own devices. The bronze was proud and excited about his children now being here and yet he could feel a bit of sadness that went through their bond. They did not truly need their mother or father to watch over them any longer. Even knowing they would want to still spend time with him, to perhaps even allow him to help if they ever asked for his advice, it did not help to dull a bit of this paternal ache that filled him. But he was proud they had found Theirs and would be even prouder still watching as they grew through weyrling training.
As he moved through the crowds, sipping a drink, C'ryn noticed a man on his own. The side of the Candidatemaster second had the bronzerider move over to him, not speaking right away as he took up a spot beside him, looking over at everything.
"It was a good hatching T'nus." Pausing for a moment, glancing down at the drink he held before speaking. "I want to apologize for what Aresoth said during the Touching...He did not mean to insinuate anything about you and F'dral. I fear he was just worried for his children, I do not believe he thought he would be as...paternal as he is." Pausing his spiel and taking another sip of his drink.
"How is the young woman who was mauled by the blue? Is she okay?" C'ryn had been a foolish candidate before and made his own dragon angry at him for coveting another over him, he could understand the embarrassment of causing trouble at a touching after all. But Aresoth had not hatched out of the egg looking for vengeance against this slight, he had instead gone to his golden sisters need to put his brown brother in his place. He hoped the young woman would still stand and her dream was not ruined by this.
