Eien Hono, the temple of the eternal flame, is considered the most sacred temple of fire to the Seinaru Enjo clan. It is dedicated to the Tenryu Shinko faith and the samurai branch of Fire Ninshu. It is considered an honor to be selected as a fire sage in the temple. The duty of the fire sages is to maintain the giant eternal flame that sits in the center of the temple. The flame is powered by natural energy and has existed for thousands of years. It is said in legend that Zaishin was built around this flame to warm the early settlers and protect them from outside threats. It is also believed that the eternal flame is a powerful force for repelling the feral yokai from Zaishin.

As Akaran took his first step onto the stairs a voice thundered through the area. "STOP!" It was a deep and elderly voice as a muscular Seinaru Enjo elder walked out of the temple and stood at the stop of the steps. "Not another step, oni. Your kind are not permitted in the temple." The elder who stood above them was the oldest and leading fire sage of the temple, Eiji Seinaru Enjo. "The shogun changed the law! You have to respect the yokai!" Akaran took a step back in fear as the elder stood over him. He tried to speak forcefully but also with polite reverence of the Seinaru Enjo elder. "The law says that I can't hunt you. Not that I must allow you into the temple. This fire has been dim since the Jashinists desecrated it. That's why you're even able to stand here. The full power of the flame is meant to repel the yokai. It has been this way for millennia." Eiji explained as he looked at Samatha. "You are permitted to enter alone." Akaran appeared disappointed as the elder spoke and welcomed Samatha. Both would wait for her response.

Without question or even a response, she follows her new companion to the fiery temple that rest in Zaishin. Its one of the few sacred grounds, where someone could become a fire sage, maybe something in the lines for Samatha Uchiha to try out. Though it seems like her eye patch story not being told and mentioning of a camp fire sparked a light bulb in Akaran to come here. The temple has a fiery center, one where any who wished to become a Fire Sage would have to go to and meet with its teacher. It was a moment too soon before a booming voice is heard. No doubt the man she had thought of with a great physique and commanding like tone, calling Akaran a Oni. That would explain why the horns but nonetheless, Samatha didn't mind him as a Yokai.

The flames even themselves seem to have been defiled so long ago by the Jashinists where it used to be able to repel Yokai. This was her moment since they are both waiting to speak what is truly on her heart. The duty and loyalty to the laws is very true, like a arrow however this is going to take personal heart into this matter. "That may be true, the law does state the Yokai are no longer allowed to be hunted. If so, why should we still treat them differently? This man is a Ambassador of Zaishin and Yokai relations, on a mission to improve connections between our people. That is his sworn duty, and there he shall usher himself upon that, and in doing so, should earn him a place among people like myself and you. In all honesty and respect, he deserves to be here and if you need someone to trust and hold accountable for the Yokai's words and actions, put me in that place. What do you say?" Her expression is stern, strong, and noble, not wavering for a single moment. Even in one of the most fiery places, a high stature like place such as this temple, she means to show strong and determination with full intention to become the next Shogun.

However, the fire only filled the very center of the largest firepit in the world. "This pyre is pitiful compared to its prime. That's why the yokai can't feel its heat." Eiji spoke as if in mourning of the glory of the fire that he spent his life caring for. Every day he had to look at it and remember that he failed to protect the sacred flame from the Jashinists. He sighed before finally turning to Samatha again. "This temple is ancient and one of the final remnants of Zaishin's history from antiquity. Before the Jashinists...desecrated it, the fire was able to prevent yokai from even entering Zaishin. Now it's so weak that even an oni can reach the steps. It's humiliating." The Seinaru Enjo elder was dedicated and proud of his temple but recent events had doused the fire that once glimmered within him. "We're capable of restoring the fire, but it's a long and dangerous ritual. It requires outside resources. But we cannot get those resources with the shogun outlawing yokai hunting. Even then, the shogun permits yokai to enter the city. I doubt he'd allow us to return the eternal fire to its proper form." Eiji explained the predicament to Samatha and hoped that his fellow samurai may have a solution.

"So the flames of this temple isn't where it should be, that is certainly unfortunate, as a young girl i have heard many things about this place. I can't simply leave alone this flame despite it having the power of reject any Yokai out of the city. I could find it not right for the Ambassador to be completely shunned out but also i would find it worse for this flame to not be in its full capacity." She would listen further to the mentioning of a powerful ritual but it sounds like it requires Yokai essence to restore the flame to its former glory. "I should be honest, i have never met the Shogun but it sounds like this is something i can't let continue to remain."
She takes on a meditative like position down on the ground near the flame as she would look into the elder's eyes thinking. She would look back to the flame and wondering how could they restore the flame's full glory without having her companion's life leeched. "I would prefer the Ambassador's life to not be plunged into the endless depths of death. However, i may have a idea, you need a Yokai's essence correct? What if you allow my fellow companion, the oni at the steps to come up here and tend to the flame? No killing him of course but let's brain storm together in how the essence could be abstracted without killing the Oni. If what i am guessing with a theory works, someone like the Oni could be what i call a Flame Guardian, one that personally sees to the flame and shares their essence to a certain extent without killing themselves. They would from certain intervals feed the flame more of their essence and slowly return it back to full power. Though if this works and its returned to true glory, i want you to promise me you would put in a good word for my companion. The promise would tell me you will not take advantage of him and treat him with nothing but distaste and disrespect. I do respect you, believe me, but things must change. Not only between the Oni and the Samurai, but the Citizens and Nobles will have some changes too." This is the best possible guess she could do.
Its even possible it won't work at all and in the end, she may have to protect Akaran from his life being needlessly taken. In her heart, she made a vow, the vow to protect him regardless if her reputation as a Samurai could be as weak as a sandy foundation and ripped to tatters like a tiger with a steak. Very gutsy to take on such a risk but this is one of the things, harsh actions she would have to do when she is potentially Shogun.

Once the attack on the Hokageβs office was finally settled, Mina wiped sweat from her brow with a sigh. There never really was a dull moment, was there? Although, the red haired shinobi was looking forward to a nice book and maybe a nap. But something caught her attention once she was done stretching. A bird, more specifically a goldfinch, was circling overhead. It made a gradual descent towards Mina, who could only blink and hold her arm up as a perch. Like clockwork, the goldfinch landed and hopped along the womanβs forearm with a note tied to its leg. Mina tilted her head with a curious noise and unwrapped the note. While there had been some serious wordage within the letter, only one thing stuck out to Mina presently. βComeβ¦ to Zaishinβ¦?β She muttered before she let the bird fly away.
It was puzzling. What would someone want with her, in Zaishin of all places? The Jonin went, of course, after a day or two of thought. Her curiosity compelled her to at least see what the issue was. Sheβd spoken with Lady Sadayo about time off, and was even dressed the part of the civilian without even a Leaf headband in sight. It was a personal trip, so why be dressed for work? She hadnβt expected, however, an entourage. βYou know, you didnβt have to come with me.β Mina turned to give an embarrassed smile over her shoulder at her three students following behind her. Babysitting hadnβt been on her agenda for this trip. βHimitsu said heβd be more than willing to sub in for me if you guys had missions. You couldaβ¦ stayed home.β This wasnβt the first time sheβd had this conversation with her students during the trip, but as they approached their destination, Mina really wanted to find out why they tagged along. This wasnβt even an official mission, just personal discoveryβ¦ or something. She also didnβt know what kind of trouble her and her squad were liable to get into, which put her on edge just a bit.
Miss Mina was going to Zaishin? It was a great chance to observe Zaishin's fauna and flora. Kuchi and Fala seemed excited to go to Zaishin, it honestly almost felt like a reward for doing well with helping at the Hokage's office. As they had made the trip, Kuchi had been more or less distracted by what he could see along the road here. Up until they reached the inner parts of Zaishin where they ended up reaching their destination he had basically been in his own little world. Off in the distance, seemingly far enough away from where they were was a lot of commotion...however it was likely something they shouldn't get involved in which was why they had ignored it. Mina's question to the three of them would be quickly answered by Kuchi with a small smile on his face. "Sorry Miss Mina, I thought it would be a good chance to learn about Zaishin's plants and animals." A very simple answer for a kid who enjoyed nature and learning about those things.

When the squad had gotten wind of their sensei heading out and leaving them with Himitsu, the team sure as hell wasn't going to just let their red headed leader drive off without them. The trio followed the woman there behind her back as best they could. Of course, they were still kids and their presence was picked up by Mina almost immediately, with Fumiko barely trying to conceal her presence. When being asked about tagging along, the trio of Mina's students would each give their own reasons. Kuchi was a big nature fan and was not one to turn down a chance to study some plants and animals. "You know I'll always be around to bug you. Even if it means I gotta make sure nobody else does it to you." Fumiko said her reason, bringing both fists together with a snarky little expression on the Akimichi's face. "Besides, Zaishin is pretty cool. I mean, besides the whole "almost killing us" part of the war. I've always wanted to taste some samurai food."

Those within range can have this radiating fearful aura become the trigger for genjutsu, allowing genjutsu to be cast by acknowledging the user. In addition, should an opponent be targeted by a melee technique that is greater in rank than the target's body rank that target has tier two paralysis applied to their legs, requiring it to be broken by Kai equal to the user's body rank, costing the target no action for that specific instance of kai. β±β°β± Specialization: β Master of Many: The user sets out to learn all of their class's style available to them in their studies. The user gains access to an additional style every rank for a total of six.
Passives: β±β°β± Ravenous Eater | The user now gains both stamina and chakra when using the clan's ability to eat and regain resources. In addition, resources regained are increased to one rank above the user's body rank.
β±β°β± Chakra Control | The user has learned to utilize their finite chakra control to reduce the upkeep cost of techniques by one rank and techniques with a post limitation are increased by one.
β±β°β± All items held including armor and weapons on the user's person are enlarged proportionately.
β±β°β± All Jutsu performed are affected by the enlarging/shrinking process.
β±β°β± Resources may be regained in combat by sacrificing an activation to consume food on the user's person. This grants the clan member chakra or stamina equal to the user's body rank and can be done three times per combat encounter.
β±β°β± If a target is hit directly by a body part that has increased weight, the target must be able to lift the weight of the limb or body part per the strength stat limitation. If they cannot, they suffer the full force of trauma on impact even if the technique is blocked with equal rank. To escape, the target must exert stamina equal to the user's body rank along with two activations.
β±β°β± Akimichi can wear light or medium armor with no inherent draw backs.
β±β°β± Each Akimichi is allowed one case with three colored pills. These colored pills may be consumed during combat to increase the chakra and chakra maximum of the user by 100 with the first pill, doubling with each additional pill to equate 400 additional chakra in total. proficiency in the Pharmaceutical Profession.

The hasty stomping of hooves and the cries of a Seiryuu infant joined the symphony of chaos produced by the storm above and the havoc that now reigned supreme in the city of Zaishin. Kaminari spurred her pure white steed to pick up its pace, holding the baby close to her chest in one hand, and handling the reins in the other. Getting this child to safety was top priority, yet worry plagued her mind as she rushed toward Hono Temple. The state that Zaishin had now found themselves in had happened so suddenly, the young Raiu clanswoman wasn't sure what to make of it. Fires, floods, death and rebellion of all sorts tearing down what progress the city had created in rebuilding themselves back up from the previous war. One had to wonder if Zaishin would ever return to its former glory.
Lord Kinryu... where are you?
A silent plead to Zaishin's current Shogun, one of the many ripples that started the tides of change after Seizo's death. Having witnessed the turmoil happening closer to the castle, she worried for his wellbeing. Would their Shogun be able to stop all of this? The child in her arms continued to cry, forcing Kaminari to get out of her head and focus on the current reality. Now was not the time for worrying. She needed to get this child to safety, and do whatever she could to help end the chaos around the city. That was her duty as a Samurai of Zaishin.
Galloping up to the Hono Temple, she dismounted her horse and continued up the stairs and into the cave where the temple resided. The infant managed to quiet down as they approached the flame, the young Samurai presenting the infant to the fire sages in hopes that they would be able to keep them safe. Why the Hono Temple, of all places? Kaminari wasn't able to answer that question herself. She saved the child from a burning building, and after searching the area for their parents, only to find looters and hostile Samurai, she knew this wasn't a safe place for the infant to be. To travel around with the child any more than she already has, would only put their life at further risk. Kaminari couldn't defend the city she devoted everything to with a child strapped to her back -- at least, not the most efficiently.
Her eyes glanced towards the flame at the center of the temple. A sinking feeling graced the depths of her stomach. "What is happening?" The question was spoken mostly to herself, but within the temple walls her voice would likely be projected loud enough to be heard by others nearby. The flames here that once brought a sense of warmth and safety were dwindled to nearly nothing. This place was considered the beating heart of Zaishin to many people, her master included. A place of worship for the devout followers of Ninshu, one that was deeply rooted in Samurai tradition. To see the current state of the flames, it reflected the very chaos that overran the entire city. For the time being, Zaishin was experiencing a very slow, tortuous death.
Ten brought up the rear of the group, trailing a few feet further back, but still close enough to clearly hear what the others had offered in response to their leader. He, rather than vocal, gave a purely somatic gesture in the form of a shrug. Truthfully he wasn't sure why he followed. Perhaps it was out of a sense of duty, or maybe a subconscious feeling of loyalty. Ten was nowhere near introspective enough to find that answer. As far as he cared to interpret the phenomenon, Mina led this squad, so wherever she goes they will follow.
Still, both Kuchi and Fumiko made good points. This place they call Zaishin was unfamiliar territory to him, but it was pleasant to see so far. Even if⦠'It's kind of cold,' he thought, exhaling to see if his breath was visible. A few moments of silence after Fumiko finished speaking would pass before Ten realized what she had said. "Wait what? There was a war?" Ever the airhead, whatever information he may have heard regarding the history between Zaishin and the Shinobi villages went in one ear and straight out the other side.

β±β°β±Akaran and Samatha ran as fast as possible through the wartorn streets of Zaishin. Akaran could not help but feel responsible. Did they take too long to gather the materials to restore the flame? Were there wayward yokai attempting to invade the city causing unrest? Akaran had no idea what had happened while he was away but the yokai ambassador felt guilt weighing on him. He had to assume some sort of responsibility and did not consider that the violence had nothing to do with his mission.
β±β°β±In the confusion, Akaran ran into the temple just to get away from the violence and open hostilities. It was all so disorienting. He saw two people in a mostly empty temple. Ten and Kaminari were the first people that Akaran saw who did not look like they were about to attack him or someone nearby. "Do either of you know what the Hell is going on out there?!" Akaran was frantic with worry for his homeland. He realized at the last second that he might have been giving a poor first impression to these strangers amidst the chaos. "Sorry, I'm A-ka-ran Ka-gu-ya. I'm a doshin rank samurai and the yokai ambassador to the shogun." Akaran then bowed after he introduced himself in a traditional samurai form. If the other two were samurai as well then they would recognize his rank and formalities. He also had a rather thick oni accent that was easy to detect but was mostly understandable through human speaking. He would allow Samatha a moment to introduce herself as well before continuing. He reached into his pocket and retrieved a naga fang, tengu feather, and other samples of yokai DNA. "We're just getting back from a mission. We left Zaishin this morning and came back to all this. We got special yo-kai art-i-facts to help restore the temple's fire." Akaran pointed at the dwindling flame that was in the center of the room. Their mission was almost complete.

Additionally, the user gains a keystone technique and two additional custom slots for taijutsu. Refer to the Keystone Guideline for more information. Third Class: Bloodline β±β°β± Dual Ancestry β Dual Ancestry allows you to have full access to two bloodlines upon creation including all techniques, abilities, and personal attributes associated with them. For biographical purposes, your secondary bloodline may be genetic or implanted at your discretion. This discipline gives you [4] bloodline PAs to be used only for the optional attributes of your dual bloodlines on top of the [2] personal attributes you receive at base for a total of [6]. If two elemental bloodlines are chosen then the primary bloodline's elemental affinities become your base elements and you gain full access to those elements while your secondary bloodline gives you locked elemental affinities that you cannot learn ninjutsu techniques from but you gain full access to the secondary bloodline. Locked elemental affinities can be unlocked through methods such as ninjutsu class or personal attributes. Elemental affinity personal attributes are automatically allotted to locked affinities. Jiongu users do not have access to Dual Ancestry nor can they be chosen as a secondary bloodline. Dual Ancestry users do not have access to the implant system including the Genetic Palette personal attribute. If you use multiple techniques from both of your bloodlines in the same post without Korabo then those techniques are increased in effectiveness by one rank. β±β°β± Dedicated Disciple β A disciple who chooses to specialize in a small number of their class's arts. Limiting themselves to three of their class's styles, granting overwhelming in all three styles up to S Rank. Any additional slots that would be awarded for their class's styles are converted into a 2 point increase in any stats of their choosing. In addition, these masters of their arts are able to have a 1 point increase in their stats cap of 8 making it 9. Personal Attributes β±β°β± Swordless Swordsman | As a fastidious student of Kyotoryuu, he is able to use small and medium blade bukijutsu styles through his "knife hands" causing them to act as taijutsu techniques in effect while consuming bukijutsu slots. β±β°β± Wandering Warrior | The Soko Sento and Kote Art styles can be used with an unarmored body. β±β°β± Unyielding Willow | Grants [2] stat points rather than [1] for the mastery of stages three and six of the Dance of the Meadow style for a total of [4] stat points. The Endurance stat cap of the Kaguya increases by [1] to a maximum of [9]. Finally, if half the resource cost of a bone armor technique is spent then it gains the attributes of armor and this does not cost a combat action. If the bone armor technique is E-Rank then it is considered very light armor, D-C rank for light armor, B-A rank for medium armor, and S-S+ rank for heavy armor. β±β°β± Martial Paragon | The favored fighting styles of the Kaguya are Taijutsu and Bukijutsu and, as a result, the Kaguya is able to start off with 2 additional taijutsu or bukijutsu styles. Finally, all complex Dance of the Meadow techniques are treated as spiritual in collision with other complex techniques. β±β°β± Curse Born | Forbidden Seals, including Curse of the Blood Orchid, owned by this rpc have an additional 100 corrupted nature chakra stored in their seal. This increases their cap from 400 to 500. Also, the Kaguya is able to recover faster from the drawbacks of forbidden seals following the deactivation of the seal making the stat reductions last for three posts rather than five. β±β°β± Mountain Clan | Oni are able to korabo suiton and sake techniques without the sake being reduced in strength. These can be korabo'd for one activation every two posts. In this circumstance, sake creation techniques are unnecessary but an augment needs to be paid for to korabo with the suiton technique. The Oni starts with [2] additional taijutsu styles upon creation. β±β°β± Clever Brew Master | The Oni receives two additional customs per body rank to produce new brew types. They are able to cast bloodline techniques through somatic movements. Their saketon pool is increased by 100. The Oni receives [1] point of strength and endurance at D-Rank and a second point of strength and endurance at B-Rank. β±β°β± Ogrelord | The Oni's saketon pool is increased by 200. Sake used by the Oni remove or restore chakra from the target two ranks below the rank brewed for poisonous or medicinal brews respectively. The Oni restores an additional 50 saketon per post passively. The Oni's stamina is increased by 200 and taijutsu techniques cost 10 stamina less at a minimum of 5. β±β°β± It's All Ogre Now | Akaran's oni heritage allows him to add an additional 100 chakra to his saketon reserves and cannot be increased beyond this.
