Also known as The Land of Rivers or River Country, is a region boarding The Land of Wind (Kaze no Kuni) and The Land of Fire (Hi no Kuni). As such Kawa no Kuni as been the site of many great battles leaving the nation scarred with battle.
Kawa no Kuni is also home to many mines and ravines filled with gems and minerals. Due to River Countries climate. the northern half and the midlands are prime farming lands. With so much natural resources. Shinobi and Bandits from Kaze no Kuni have had a vested interest in occupying territory within the region. The land of fire however has had a problem with rouge nin fleeing to Kawa no Kuni's infamous safe haven for criminals Gimangakure, a mockery of everything his hidden village system stands for.
With so much in the way the people of Kawa no Kuni are hardened willing to defend each other and their crop with their lives. While most people within the country are farmers, miners, or priests. Nearly everyone is a bandit at nightfall. Being a rural area, Kawa no Kuni has little to no electricity at all. Meaning that at night the density of the jungle makes everything nearly pitch black.
In recent times Kawa no Kuni's only shinobi village Tanigakure (Hidden Valley) as come under new leadership underneath the mysterious 2nd Tanikage Mūzon of the Valley. As such Tanigakure as started a military campaign to unify all of Kawa underneath the control of the Valley.
Those who oppose them are:
匠 Takumi no Sato - Also known as the Village of Artisans, these men and woman are criminals, vagabonds, and merchants who've congregated together after the destruction of Gimangakure. The people of this village are expert craftsmen whom specialize in shinobi tools and legendary weapons.
✵ The Fuyuki Group - An international crime syndicate with a vested interest in seizing control of Kawa no Kuni. Recently they have been commissioned as a mercenary detail at Katabami Village a prominent mining town.
