Name: Leiheti
Age: 18
Sex: Female
Sexual Orientation: Yes?
Craft: None
Rank: N/A
Location: High Reaches Weyr
Physical Description: At 16, Leiheti looks like a full grown woman. She is 5’8”, lithe and strong. Unfortunately for her she also has well developed breasts and curves. Warm brown skinned with brilliant blue eyes and dark hair curly hair that is cropped short. There is a light scar on her left upper arm from a fight she got into, and one on her right hand from another fight.
Personality: Leiheti did not originally become a thief out of necessity. She is simply thievish in nature, prone to wanting to steal things for the thrill of it and because she can. Venturesome and daring, she is willing to try many things that would be off putting to so many people. Combine that with her opportunistic tendencies, there has been a lot of unique things in her life that she was able to accomplish. There has been a lot that got her in trouble as well. She is decisive and quick to make decisions, but agile in her choices willing to change if the situation requires it. SImply put she is rather capable. That said she can also be devious because of that, taking advantage of others. Also, she is prone to cooking up schemes, to steal, to win a fight, to get revenge… to find the perfect insult. Though even if it isn’t perfect she will still insult you. Get used to it. However she is very protective of her people and will turn that insulting scheming self completely on someone if they hurt someone she considers under her care.

History: Leiheti grew up in Bitra. Her parents were essentially loan sharks who got themselves into trouble and killed when she was eight. For those first eight years, Leiheti lived well, secure in the knowledge that she could, and would, get away with anything. WIth the help of five firelizards she raised from eggs, acquired in various ways, Leiheti began stealing trinkets and other little things as she grew up. Her parents, when they found out, looked the other way. Though they demanded payment at times to keep quiet.
That all ended when one angry customer set their house on fire with the parents locked inside. No one ever caught the man but then again no one looked that hard either. Leiheti would have died as well, except that she was out playing with neighborhood kids. She came home to a burnt out shell and someone waiting there to take her to a new home.
She promptly ran away. Leiheti knew enough about Bitra to not trust her new foster parents that seemed more interested in what she could do for them then her well being. However, that left her in a quandary. How was she to live? Thieving seemed the natural thing to do. She was already good at it after all. Or at least so she thought. She quickly learned that there was more to living on the streets than stealing. And one of them was staying one step ahead of the guards. Don’t get caught out after night. Don’t leave anything unguarded, do not show weakness.
Four years later, Leiheti had joined a little band of children that helped each other out, and began to live comfortably in the knowledge that she was going to survive. And she learned a new thing. Females were targets. So, Leiheti chose to do something about it. Any one that was known to target a street female was given hell by her and her group. At least in her area it became safer for a female to live without a guard of some sort simply because it was easier for predators to go elsewhere. That wasn’t to say it was safe. Just safer.
Four years after that, with deaths and sadness as well as tears of joy happening along the way, Leiheti made the best mistake of her life. THough she didn’t know it at the time. She tried to steal from a rider, and thought she was successful. She was in that she walked away with the item in question, a ruby pin that would fetch a pretty mark, but the rider was well aware of what she had done. He just chose to follow along to see what she did with it instead of call the guards right then and there.
What she did was sell it, buy food, and visit some of the homeless around to make sure they were fed before heading back to the area she lived in and sharing what she had got with the other kids. This interested the rider, for it was not what he expected, and intrigued the dragon. When the rider approached Leiheti, she was sure that he was there to pound her and turn her over to the guards, so when he simply asked “why?” she was so surprised she gave an honest answer. “Because they are hungry.” The rider went on his way, but the dragon continued to monitor the girl while the pair was in the hold. On the last day that the pair was there, the dragon declared that Leiheti was to be searched.
It was an interesting conversation for the rider. He wasn’t used to the candidates trying to negotiate with him. But he was amused. Finally they reached an agreement and he whisked her off, along with her three current firelizards, to a land unfamiliar and strange.
Other: She has three firelizards: Serenity, Tranquility, and Agitation
DRAGON
Name: Rosinth
Age: Baby!
Color: Green
Size: 21
Physical Description: Rosinth has a long elegant neck with a head just slightly on the large side. Combined with the long headknobs Rosinth appears young for a long time after growing to adult.
Personality: Rosinth generally is a dragon who stays relatively unruffled by crass behavior or unexpected challenges. Certainly there might have been a more polite way of putting that insult, or it would be nicer if things weren’t going to between in a basket, but really, getting upset won’t help the matter. Sometimes that goes too far though. Rosinth can have a rather lackadaisical approach to life, taking their tolerance to new depths. Wouldn’t it just be easier to not make the effort?
That isn’t to say Rosinth isn’t without times of activity. She can be quite daring and spontaneous when the mood takes her. There is a fascinating world out there after all that could really use some exploring. Being somewhat lazy only means you have to grasp the moments of inspiration with gusto. Life is an adventure, but Rosinth would rather do it on her own schedule. Be ready to go or you’ll miss the moment. Too late and Rosinth will not want to go anymore. And it isn’t just activities that Rosinth is fickle about. Emotions, likes, dislikes, and preferences all are known to change at the drop of a hat.
Rosinth’s rider will have to be alert because the dragon is prone to manipulating those around them to ease their life. If you can get someone else to do the task, why not? It isn’t meant to be cruel or even thought of as manipulative by Rosinth, if the other really doesn’t want to do it, they don’t have to. But wouldn’t it be nice if they did? Perhaps Rosinth can persuade them they want to. Though if Rosinth actually knew she had hurt someone by doing this she would feel terrible. Rosinth likes to think of herself as kind. And she is. Harsh words are rarely uttered and praise is easily given. She wants the best for everyone. Can’t we all just get along and enjoy each other’s differences?
Additional Notes: More inclined to watch flights, than participate, Rosinth still will go up if the mood suits.
Why Me: Leiheti is someone that Rosinth can count on to be ready to go when the moment comes. Someone that will prod and push Rosinth when the dragon wants to do nothing. And can adapt to the ever changing moods of the dragon. She won’t fall easily to the dragon’s manipulations either. In Rosinth, Leiheti finds someone that will not find fault even in unusual past times. Someone that will temper the need to answer every problem immediately. And someone who will not be easily overrun by her own manipulations.
