He realized that it seemed like he probably was not listening by his carefree skips so he repeated what Aki was saying in summation. "Go to flying village. Find sealer. Got it." Akaran smiled as he distilled Akihiko's rambles down as much as possible. He never really understood why Aki talked so much but he figured that it was because he was smart. Aka tended to reserve his own rambles for conversations where it was highly necessary to express himself. As they walked toward Astoria, Akaran decided to bring up a hot potato topic to keep himself from getting bored. "You got any crazy exes?" Akaran reasoned that since Akihiko used to mix with less-than-reputable characters that they might run into a rumble with a psychotic old flame. "When I was in school there was one girl who was nice to me. She kissed me but I didn't like it. We stayed friends." Aka let out a belly laugh before taking a sip of sake from his gourd. He felt bad for her because he might have broken her heart but in hindsight the thought of a girl kissing him was funny. "There was a boy in Zaishin that I was close with. He was pale, cute face, good with a sword, smart, kind of a jerk sometimes. He was like you I guess. He was my first and I told him that I loved him but I don't think I really did. No one knew about us because we would meet behind the temple. I think he moved away or something." Akaran reminisced about this early romance but had no longing for it. Akihiko was his only focus now and he found goodness in Akihiko that he did not see in his first. "There were two other guys when I started out as a ronin. One was strong, the other was short. I was on the road so they didn't last. Then no one for a long time until I met you." Those were more casual relationships on account of Akaran's propensity for wrestling. Akaran was honest and figured that this information would not bother Aki given Aka's demonstrated loyalty. He paused for a long time before finishing with a deeper insight. Akihiko frowned at the question, but let Akaran answer it first. He knew Akaran was setting him up with the description of the first boy, rolling his eyes predictably as Akaran related the two before continuing down his history. Still, Akihiko had to laugh. Akaran had a type? And it was one Akihiko fit? How cute.
"Ah, well it seems like not a lot of people have tried to get to know you," he explained in defense of being Akaran's first real love. "As for me, I don't do the relationship thing. Ever. I guess I've had a few friends with benefits, sometimes even flings with rivals in the business. I guess I was almost dating this one woman for a while, though it was still pretty casual. We just happened to have something like a date more often than not when we met up. She's a real firecracker, real impulsive but a lot of fun. Hm. I dunno. You're really my first, Aka."
He thought about it carefully. "And this boy like me from Zaishin, huh, you don't know where he is now? Maybe I should show your exes what they're missing," he joked. It didn't hurt the ego to show others that you had something better than they did.

β±β°β±Akaran was surprised that Akihiko had rather minimal experience in serious relationships. He thought that Aki had been doing a good job with commitment so far. What was even more surprising to him was the information that Akihiko had a casual relationship with a woman. "You like women too?! I've never met anyone who likes both." Aka was quickly confused by the idea. He had a very salt or pepper view of human sexual orientation with gay clearly being the better one. Still, he felt special knowing that Akihiko chose him over all other options. Especially given that Akaran was his first and only serious partner. "She sounds like fun. Do you know where she is? What happened?" Impulsiveness was Akaran's middle name at this point and perhaps his commonality with her in this regard indicated that Akihiko had a type of a sort as well. He somewhat expected that Aki would be a little curious about him given their similarities. "I haven't seen him in years. I remember going back to our meeting spot every day at the same time for weeks. He never came back." His voice indicated that this was a source of heartache for him at the time that has since been relieved. The pain was still there but it was clearly eroded by his newer and greater love. "I think...you're a better person than he was." Akaran just wanted to leave it at that although he was glad that Akihiko was taking it in good humor so far. Meanwhile, he was still immensely curious about this woman from Aki's past.

Akihiko's eyes narrowed at Akaran's comment, a remnant from before he got a cushier life as an established mercenary, when he was running with gangs and mobs and had to fit into the machismo environment. When comments like that were dangerous. But he let it roll past him and whatever tension had made him clench his fists had washed away. "Yes, Aka, both. As for where she is, I'm not entirely sure. She was always working in the storm village, but I don't think she lived there..."
He worried his bottom lip, thinking about Akaran's faith in him being better than his previous sweetheart. "Well, I don't think I could ever abandon you like that. I'm kind of whipped, if you haven't noticed," he said as he held Akaran's hand, bumping into the man as he teased. Then, he let his hand slip from the hold and let it rest on the nape of Akaran's neck, a worried expression taking over him again. "I hope they figure this out."

β±β°β±Akaran could immediately tell that his question made Akihiko uncomfortable. He did not think that it was as uncouth as perhaps it actually was but he did recognize that he did have the power to hurt Aki sometimes even if he did not mean to. Aka softly patted Aki's back and smiled apologetically to help smooth it over and it seemed that Aki was not going to stay mad about it beyond the first impression. "What if we see her there?" Aka let out a light chuckle at the idea of such a potentially awkward chance meeting. He let his hand fall back to his side before Aki bumped into him and grabbed his hand. Akaran had a toothy grin across his face from all the attention he was getting from his special guy. "Yeah, you've always been here for me." Akaran then thought for a second for what he meant by whipped. "I don't hit you!" Aka defended himself for a second but calmed down when he felt his fiance soothing the back of his neck. "Don't touch it too much or it might start up again." Akaran teased but sounded totally serious before he turned his head away from the road and at Akihiko. "Grrrrr..." Aka let out a small but convincingly guttural oni roar and bared his teeth before breaking out into laughter. They eventually made their way out of the Land of Rivers and were headed toward Astoria.

Iksin yawned as he and Aldrich land in the middle of the ruined city. Looking around there were still people...but very few and far between. What was this? Why would his client want to meet him here? This was weird to say the least. Aldrich once more took on his smaller form and stood next to Iksin. "This place is far from what I'd expect." He said to Aldrich who simply silently nodded. It seemed Aldrich didn't like this place much either. Perhaps it was the odd energy that the place gave off. It felt almost restricting in a way. He wasn't happy with it, Iksin wasn't either for that matter. Maybe it had something to do with their different types of chakra or something. Either way...a figure would begin walking towards Iksin. The white haired male looked at this man with a tilted head. The figure was cloaked in a dark hooded robe and was shady at best. Iksin wasn't particularly happy with his bad feeling about this overall. He didn't like it even a little bit.
The figure stopped when he got within 5 feet of Iksin. "Mister Yokai Sage..." The man said, his voice as creepy as his appearance. "It's actually the Amalgamate Sage now, but yes that is me." Iksin said in response. A twisted grin appeared from behind the darkness of the robe. More figures seemed to appear almost out of no where. "Sorry, but you can't be allowed to live anymore." They all said at the same exact time. Iksin sighed, his head hurt now. This was a trap? This area was because of the corrupt energy around it. Everything started to come together in the man's head. "You people, why?"
Iksin looked at them all, and the original figure spoke up. "You are a menace. Pretending to be good, saving yokai and demons. Yo-" Iksin quickly cut him off. "Okay, so you're just an a*****e. Got it. If you want to live leave." Iksin said, loudly so everyone could hear. His voice didn't change from what was initially a monotonous and annoyed tone. He had no real threat in his voice, he didn't care if they left or not.
In response to exactly this the many people surrounding him quickly began to come in all attacking at once. "You really...don't understand." Iksin said, his hands coming in close proximity to each other, the area between his glowing and showing a red colored seal in the air. Aldritch taking flight into the air and then Iksin releasing a blast of flames from the circle in his hand. The blast spreading from him outwards and incinerating the group approaching him. "You." He said to the single man still standing and unharmed. "You're different I guess." Iksin slowly approached...however the man would collapse into nothing. Appearing directly behind Iksin, and reaching his hand out grasping him. Iksin could feel corrupt chakra flowing into his person.
Iksin sighed however, he seemed unaffected. Or at least affected very little by this. "You...are...annoying." Iksin's body would become covered in nature chakra. And a punch would be sent clear through the man's chest. The man would fall to the ground. However...as Iksin stared at the now dying man his sage mode began to fade. Why was it doing this? He hadn't turned it off....what happened.
Iksin realized, the corrupt chakra from the area and being placed in the man seemed to be working heavily against his sage mode. He was losing his abilities....and there was nothing he could do about it. Iksin frowned and shook his head. "It's fine..." He said, realizing his body was adapting quickly to the cursed chakra placed in him. Whatever was going on...he wasn't sure...but this man had an ability he needed. Iksin would take the man's body with him as he headed towards the hospital...however as he did his body reacted. His intentions clear to his body the blood began to be pulled from the corpse into iksin and fusing with him...he felt as if he implanted himself with this being's blood...that was weird. Iksin wasn't sure what was going on. Aldrich landed in his large form and Iksin hopped on and flew off.

It had been about a week of traveling through the lands, hoping wagons, finding a boat willing to travel to this ruined place and that was the hardest part of her journey. It was about evening when a old wagon being dragged by two large horses came trotting in from the north eastern side of the once rouge like village, sitting in the back of the wagon a large set of armor sat covered in brown rags and animal fur, having a somewhat large frame, and itβs most defining feature was itβs bone like face complemented with long wild grey hair sticking out from the back of the helmet. Durning the trip here after getting off the boat and finding this old man who took her the rest of the way just for a few pounds of meat and a few bottles of rum Clem had not moved her mind was focused on meditation working on further understanding the concepts of law and balance gained from her celestial inner sea. Though being the careful type a shadow clone of herself had kept its distance acting as a scout in case of any unwanted company. Having several small incidents the clone alone took care of with little effort.
Eventually after entering the village Clem paired the old man who was more then happy to leave as quickly as he could only pausing a moment to warn her about strange happenings that have been going around and just a general idea of how dangerous it was around the area. Once the two parted ways Clem had to figure out a good way to start gathering info, the white haired man only really gave a minimal amount of info about what was going on around here so the first thing she figured was that she needed to find a few who knew some info like where this beast appeared or like when this thing liked to come around. For now the large armor would start by walking around the village. Getting people to talk wasnβt to difficult when supplies around here were short so abit of food and money went a long way, as for those who wanted to get to greedy or physical got to deal with Clemβs overwhelming strength. "Someone help!" A small boy running around the ruined streets. Looking for someone, anyone among the people who could help him. His cries were not loud, he was a small child after all, but they were frantic enough. He only approached those who looked strong, of course they shrugged him off and moved along with their days. They didn't have time to help some crying kid for nothing. The others who seemed to care were clearly in no way going to be able to help this kid.
After awhile info was becoming redundant and cross referencing what she learned from the men and women she talked to gave her a rough idea of what was true and what was just speculation. With that she figured it was a good time to rest up and plan her next course of action in the morning. Stretching abit she was about to go find a place to bunker down till morning atleast that was the plan until a small crying child was running about screaming for help. Most ignored it and quite frankly she had the same thoughts about ignoring it. However what if..what if she was lucky enough to find the creature nowβ¦ though it could just be something not related to her jobβ¦For a moment she just observed him before deciding to atleast see what the problem was. If anything it wouldnβt hurt to checkβ Oi brat come here and tell old Freddy your problemβ the armors voice changer had Clemβs rough female voice sound much more like a males. The boy was almost ready to give up. He was turned down way too much already. However it was like a miracle as someone approached and asked what the problem was. They seemed like they were strong too, it was like Evergreen's grace smiled upon him and he was so happy. Of course the happiness faded as soon as he remembered why he needed someone in the first place. "My sister! She got taken by the monster! My mom went after her! Please help I can show you where they went!" He said, to the armored man who asked of his problem. Then ran off to show the man where this had happened. Hopefully being followed by the man in an effort to save his mother and sister.
β Alrighty little guy lead the way old Freddy came here for the beast anyways β Standing back up as the boy ran off to lead the way Clem looked back smiling at a shadowed figure nodding her head to it before following the kid to the beast. She didnβt really plan on fighting it now but using her shadow clones to pass on info sheβd atleast get the info the white haired guy wanted after getting a look at the creature sheβd have the clone she brought with her vanish to pass on the info to the clone she had back in tani so she could deliver the info and get her next set of orders be it to capture or kill the creature. There was a while of running after the boy and the armored figure left. He was a mixture of excited and still scared. He wanted them to be okay oh so much, he hoped that this armored person would be able to help him. For a moment the young boy stopped, turning around to make sure the man had followed him. He had only just realized he hadn't checked until just now. When he turned and saw the figure following he was glad.
A slight rumbling from the ground began. From the ground rose a large serpentine form, a fanged but beaked mouth opening and then clenching on the upper half of the young boy's body. Large scale-like frills ran from it's head down it's back and stopped at a certain point. It continued rising from the ground, despite it's serpentine form legs rose from the ground and assisted in pulling it the rest of the way out of the ground. The rest of it's body being pulled from the ground made it clear that this beast was a quadruped but was serpentine as well. It's tail had the same scale-like frills along it as well. The beast looked at the armored figure and then released a deafening roar. As it roared each of the scaled frills that ran down from the beast's head shook as if they were not connected to the body very well at all, and created a noise almost as if small rocks were gently clashing with each other. After it's roar though, it sniffed the air as if sniffing the direction the armored form was in. Then for some reason seemed to ignore it. Eating the other half of the boy's body quickly and then turning away from the armored figure. Heading off towards what seemed to be a heavily forested area.
As the scene unfolded in front of her Clem was not scared or excited rather what went through her mind was curiosity. This thing was different from what she was told atleast the fact it had legsβ¦then again it makes sense if those who saw it from far away wouldnβt notice to much. Observing the creature as it at the child she could only assume the other two had been eaten as well. Watching it use its strange teeth she wondered if it had a second set on the inside or perhaps itβs whole outer coating was like armor. Either way as it went to finish up eating the remains she would have the clone pay close attention as well so when it vanished sending the info back to the clone in tani she could get the go head to make a move against it.
Though she expected atleast to have to damage a little when it finished off the kid. Confusion though would fill her mind as the armor tilted its head when the creature looked towards her only to ignore her.huh do I smell? Looking at her arm sniffing it she just laughed β right air tight armor hahaβ¦stillβ . snapping her finger the clone would keep tabs on the beast while Clem left the area back to tani.(exits) x βπ¬ππππππππ π³πππβ₯βππππππ π¬πππππβ₯°°°

As Clem began to trail the beast, it sniffed the air again. It's head snapping back towards Clem and looking directly at her. It would be clear that her armor masking her scent wasn't actually what mattered, and that the beast seemed to know where she was despite the darkness of the night. Giving some sort of indication to her that it not only had some sort of extra sense tied to it's smell that made the beast not pick up on her clone or react to it much but allowed it to notice her, and likely the creature had some form of vision usable in the darkness since it was rather clearly looking at her. Once again the beast's fanged beak opened and roared loudly in her direction. It's frilled-like scales moving back and forth as it did.
The beast's large tail lifted into the air, it was a bit weird. It was still rather far from Clem, definitely not close enough to reach her with a tail swipe even considering it's rather large size. The beast's tail would swing though, towards her, and from it large scales detached from it. The scales flew towards Clem like huge and clearly sharp projectiles ready to pierce through her form armor and all if it had to. Once Clem would avoid the large projectile scales she would only get to see the glimpse of the beast disappearing under the ground. Only it's tail left as she glanced towards it which she would notice that the scales it had just launched at her almost immediately grew back. Then it was completely gone, with no sense of what direction the beast was heading in anymore.

Well this was Intresting information now that she was tracking the creature it noticed her... Well she could figure that out later as she had to stop in her tracks as the creature flung its own scales at her as weapons, also good to know if she ended up having to fight the creature and not a bad little thing to bring back as proof. Not doing anything clem focused chakra into her feet to make a quick dash away from the scales.
Dashing around avoiding the scales shed let out a sigh once she stopped noticing the creature had left the area, shrugging her shoulders clem managed to find a scale lodged in a tree taking it with her as she left she haf noticed several tears in her armor and a few deep wonds but chose to ignore them for now(exits)
