A miles-wide swamp in the Marsh Country is surrounded by perpetual darkness. It appears uninhabited, except growling and hissing constantly emanates from deeper within. Sensory techniques fail inside the swamp, giving out only a vague sense of foreboding from the corrupt nature chakra. About a mile in, the heavy flora lightens up and gives way to an open marshland; bioluminescence illuminates parts of the dark swamp and also emit an unfortunate scent. Nausea begins and slowly saps the strength of outsiders as they near the center of the swamp.
A small village of broken-down tents and weak wooden structures frames the swamp. The people appear normal besides the furtive glances and whispered tongues. While they appear to lack weaponry, sensory techniques can detect Ukyo and Yozen chakra strains. A few of them can be seen wearing odd, ceremonial cloaks that hide their faces. For the most part, they appear to reside indoors and avoid the acrid air outside.

▱▰▱Satoshi's piloting skills were improving over the long journey from the Midnight Dreary Realm to a different continent. The Swamp Country was seldom discussed in the shinobi world because of its general remoteness and sparse population. The flying galleon soared over hundreds of miles of endless swamps until they arrived outside of the Kurosawa. The Prophet dropped an anchor into the ground as it floated in suspension in the air. Satoshi then placed his feet up and retrieved the bloodstone from his coat pocket. It was no longer dangerous and shrouded with nature chakra. He stared at it and took a short break to recuperate from the long flight. He then looked out the window to see the foreboding dark swamp outside. Satoshi placed a finger on the intercom button before speaking. "At long last, we've arrived mates! Prepare ta disembark!" Satoshi yelled over the intercom as his voice traveled over the entire ship. He returned to staring at the constantly crimson light pulsating bloodstone, wondering when he would know that it was time to use it.

Takao woke from his nap when Satoshi made his announcement. The jinchuuriki rubbed his eyes as he rose to his feet, taking a look at his impersonal living quarters before moving to the deck. If he was stuck on this adventure for the long haul, he'd need to add some personal flair to the quarters so it felt less like a stolen ship and more like a home.
"Ugh, what is that smell?" He complained as he looked over the edge of the ship to the murkiness below. It should have been sunrise, but there was no sun to be seen amongst the dark fog and cloudy skies. As the ship came to land in a clearing mostly free of fog, Takao noticed the collection small huts that surrounded the swamp they were "destined" to enter.
"So, where are we specifically?" He rubbed at his arms once the ship landed on mostly-solid ground, feeling a little chilly since he still didn't have a shirt from their Arashigakure escape. "At least I don't hear any ******** birds," he muttered bitterly. Instead of incessant cawing, the area emitted low noises of speech from the village, though no one could be seen moving through it. Almost unnaturally, the fog that rolled through the village seemed to come right for the ship, eating it up and filling it with a murkiness Takao was already growing tired of.
It took him a long moment to realize what the fog was, forming a hand sign to hack it [ Leech [ Hiru ] | Rank B ]. "There's like fifty of 'em in the village," he reported after overriding the sensory fog technique to get details from it. "They know sensory tech, so we're likely looking at shinobi, except the chakra pools aren't notable. Citizen-types who know sensory techniques? Might be Yozen. Or Yamanaka, but I've never heard the Yamanaka have ties to countries outside the Land of Fire like this."
Since whoever used the fog technique was going to be familiar with all of them and their chakra signatures, their presence wasn't a secret. It meant, then, that if the village intended on attacking them, they would've already. "As safe as it's gonna get," he said nonchalantly as he started to disembark from the ship. "Might as well say hello before we go to the swamp, huh?" The second he stepped on the ground, a flicker of movement caught his attention against the dark sky. Five ink-based phoenixes descended on the ship to divebomb into anyone on the deck.
"So much for safe."

Caricature allows an Ukyo to draw on a surface typically a paper or a scroll and after forming a hand sign invoke that creation bringing it into the tangible world. The most basic form of Giga is a simple creation made up of ink that typically is static and immobile but can function as whatever was drawn. How durable the creation is for surviving collisions, is determined by the amount of chakra spent with this hand sign. Initially, all Giga persist for [7] posts decreasing by [1] post per rank above [E]. The more durable a Giga is quicker it is to end. Performing the Giga handsign to summon a creation will consume an appropriate activation. Alternatively, if the subject is being drawn actively the chakra may be molded and produce the creation the minute the brush is lifted. Drawn Giga themselves do not disappear unless physically erased so a Ukyo may use the same drawing and the Giga technique again to invoke the same drawing. Sentient creations made with [Giga] use the chakra of their creator to perform their activations.

▱▰▱Satoshi stored the bloodstone in his breast pocket before getting up from the captain's chair. He joined Takao and likely the other crew out on the deck. He was certain that Soyeon, Takao, Botenmaru, and Tetsu came on the ship with him but he wondered what happened to Rabubon and the gypsies. He dismissed the thought when Takao asked where they were. "Northeastern Marsh Country, Land o' Swamps, whichever moniker suits yer fancy. Far away from those blasted lightning and fire empires." Satoshi was fascinated to explore the lands that few shinobi from the imperial lands ever even thought about. After he spoke, Yogen jumped from his shoulder onto Takao's head before lightly knipping at his eyebrows. "No more ******** birds, huh?" Yogen said between theatrical caws as he tormented Takao before jumping back onto Satoshi's shoulder to evade the likelihood of swinging arms being sent in his direction in retaliation. When Takao went on to use his handy sensory abilities, Satoshi rested a hand upon his sheathed cutlass's handle. When Takao disembarked, Satoshi watched him do so but before he could move to do so they were bombarded by ink-based creatures. Satoshi cackled before drawing his blade. Immediately, Yogen flew upward and sprang into action. Once he left Satoshi's shoulder he grew to his full size more akin to that of a horse. Yogen flew over to engage them before releasing a massive volley of insanity-inducing black balls of fire in the shape of skulls to destroy the inky creatures. Once he did so, Yogen landed back on deck before Satoshi hopped on his back. When Yogen took flight again they disembarked from the flying ship without using the suspension bridge. "Not a very welcoming bunch I'd wager, eh Takao? Time ta teach these fools that when they see the Prophet's sails, they outta pray. Attack!" Satoshi raised his cutlass with a battlecry before Yogen descended on the village. Satoshi then quickly dismounted his personal crow summon once he was close enough to the ground. He charged the village with his cutlass raised before running in a circle around a group of villagers. He assumed they were the Ukyo who attacked his ship, but what did it matter anyway? He coated his cutlass in haunting violet chakra before delivering three powerful slashes, one to each enemy's neck. Satoshi then suddenly disappeared as a phantom image of him took his play which would redirect any onlookers for a counterattack. Satoshi would then wait to spring his trap and spill more blood. He also wanted to test the extent of their sensory prowess against genjutsu.

The sounds of clamor awoke Botenmaru. The angry shouts and dense fog that drifted through his cabin would drive him to his feet as he grasped his sword and shield, moving towards the helm of the ship. Just as he would arrive to the surface he would catch Satoshi's identificaiton of the land they flew over which attacked them, Takao fending off their sensory abilities. Botenmaru stared down as the masses seemed to swarm from their homes. " I'll go." he said in his newly deepened voice. He placed his armored foot atop the railing of the ship as he hoisted himself over. Without an attempt to gracefully leap or brace for landing the titanic man would plummet to the earth. Below him, directly in the fated landing zone a small hut would be penetrated, sending a plume of debris and splintered wood into the air. Silence fell over the people surrounding the home before a high pitched screeching echoed out hauntingly from the innards of the ruins would have spikes of steel explode forth, drenched in blood as the multitude of cries and pleas for mercy within were silenenced. The spikes would retract after gurggling noises ceased.
Botenmaru pushed through from the rubble, his eyes glowing bright crimson beneath the helmet. Several villagers who'd looked on as Botenmaru slaughtered their kin would step forward. Rusted swords, spears and pitchforks poised at the black knight would tremble before gumption was placed behind them, moving to slay Botenmaru...or so they would hope. Botenmaru's shield would stave off the first piercing attack of a hand crafted spear that threatened to impale his visor. As the shield met the blade, Botenmaru shifted the facing skyward to open up space beneath the spear user's arms to strike. With his longsword, Botenmaru would whip the sword horizontally at a low angle, planting the edge of the blade just to the outside of the kneecap all the while knowing it would not slay the villager.
Just then the pitchfork would loudly screech across the gauntlet of his sword arm. The black knight would raise his arm directly in front of him, his elbow facing out to throw the peasant weapon away from his center. Without giving him a chance to recover, Botenmaru's kite shield would find itself planted deeply in the cavity that used to be the man's face. As he removed the shield from the bloody pulp, teeth and blood sprayed in a thick coating over the dark soil. With a secondary strike, the shield would be swung horizontally left to right, sending the man flying to the ground several feet away. Finally, a rusted sword would arc vertically towards him, it's tip promising to strike his chest. The man leaned back ever so slightly, allowing the blade to barely miss it's mark. As the blade sank downward and the man's upper body was exposed. Botenmaru did not miss this opportunity as he seized the man's shoulders in a bear hug, towering over him. Leaning back, Botenmaru readied his mighty blow as his helmet would create a wet smack as it exposed brain matter and bodily fluids that now poured from the head. Having not forgotten the man he'd ripped the kneecap from, Botenmaru turned to him, aiming the long sword directly to his throat he slowly plunged it into the adam's apple, taking some enjoyment from the morbid noises emanating from his final moments.

Technique Used: • Archaic Offensive Blast | S+ Rank The user holds their shield before them, guarding from any of their opponents attacks that may come at them for one post. While they charge this offensive blast, the user may pay the rank of any technique used against them to defend it. During their next post several arcane circles appear just before the user's shield. All chakra that was charged during the prior post is released in one concussive beam that takes the outline of the user's shield and travels for fifty hundred feet as it mulches anything in it's path. Anything within a twenty five foot span of either side of this blast is forced off the ground and sent flying. Personal Attributes • Will of Steel: The user's endurance cap is raised by 1 point so long as their endurance does not exceed 9. In addition, their rock hard natural skin gains immunity from two physical status effects of choice with the exception of frostbite and dehydration. [ Chosen: Paralysis, Trauma ] • Forge Master: At creation, the user may choose Armor Smithing or Weapon Smithing. The character begins at Apprentice Status in that chosen crafting profession. The user is able to use their Steel Release's metals to forge all weapons and armor they create with durability that matches their body rank. In addition, each weapon or armor crafted this way gains an additional ability unique to that weapon that must utilize the clan's abilities in some way. Finally, items created this way can be freely absorbed into the body and expelled by paying an E Rank amount of chakra with no activation for each item removed during combat in this method. • Iron Tomb: All the user's techniques that would cause petrification in a target are instead changed to metal as they have their flesh's structure changed into steel. This metal element being added to the petrification status causes all petrification to occur at the next highest tier as well as adding an additional cost of the user's body rank in chakra to break the limb free. • Heavy Armor Specialist: Botenmaru's armor is able to endure one additional strike of it's durability level before it degrades. This effect can only be used once every three posts. • Endless Aegis: Botenmaru's shield is treated as heavy armor instead of a weapon, giving any drawbacks standard heavy armor would along with it's defense rating. • Bootyenmaru: Botenmaru's fascination with piracy demonstrated by Satoshi grants him and anyone in his crew ( party/group ) double rewards for Ryo.
Discipline & Cross Class Abilities • Juggernaut [ Bukijutu ] | The user suffers no restrictions of movement or drawbacks from any armor tier they wear and it requires no slot consumption from the Inventory System. In addition, armor they are actively wearing are increased by two ranks in durability and techniques that are increased in effectiveness against armor do not gain that bonus against the user. The user gains a moderate boost to strength and fortitude. Once every three posts, the user is able to defend an attack without paying an activation for the technique, instead spending it upon an offensive action if the user chooses. • Combat Medic [ Medical ] | Shinobi of this discipline gain the ability to pay for their simple taijutsu as complex. This does not alter its strength in collisions in any way from a standard simple technique. The user's body is more attuned to adrenaline, which allows them to receive a benefit from their techniques which use them every other post versus every three post. In addition, the user gains a slight descriptive in a chosen stat per body rank but must utilize all increases in the same descriptive. The user's body is treated with the durability of medium armor without any drawbacks. Furthermore the medical learning reductions gained from this class also count towards taijutsu learning reductions. The shinobi gains three tai slots, one at D rank, one at C rank, and then one at A-ranked. Finally, the user is able to augment their Genesis Rebirth Technique. Not only does this discipline allow the user to utilize the technique twice, but each time the user is restored of 250 chakra. The user also deals with trauma they receive at one rank less than other ninja. • Medical-Bukijutsu | The user is able to slash their weapon at a target, applying a healing technique to it and casting it upon the target. Every three posts the user is able to combine offensive medical ninjutsu with a bukijutsu technique for one activation, paying only the resource cost every three posts. __ As per usual, Tetsu stepped off the ship following his comrades after that blasted Intercom had woken him from his sleepy planning. Since then he had reserved himself towards leaning near the back of the group trying to drop out of their sight as much as possible. It always had been hard for him to connect to people. What wasn't hard for him to understand was nature. His expression was held tight under lock n key, though that did little from stopping him from appreciating the allure of the musky swamp. It wasn't easy, or rather, the most appealing to observe. But all those dead decaying things were what allowed life to flourish in interesting ways that Tetsu couldn't help but have an appreciation where the others seemed to be lacking. Well that and he had acquired a taste for the smell of the rotting dead, but that was a story for another introspection post.
Instead, a pair of narrowed eyes bore into Botenmaru's back just before the man leaped over the railing to, assumedly, crush the poor souls down below under the heel of his iron boot. While Tetsu cared little for what happened to them, this was the perfect opportunity to observe the man whom he knew so little about. Another strike off his checklist as it were. "Sounds like fun down there, I'll drop down too." His last words before dropping over the edge with a slyful double-finger salute, and while Tetsu's landing was much less... intimidating than Botenmaru's, it did place him in the perfect opportunity to watch from the sidelines. With the entirety of his body, starting with his toes, hit and then melded with the earth below, treating it more like a watery substance than the solid it actually was. [ Earth Military Movement ]

[I edited this post instead of quoting :c So I lost the original Takao post here and it is now identical to the next post; sorry to anyone who likes to read/re-read these things] The battlefield was nearly inaudible with the screams erupting from burning and slashed Jashinists. It was impossible to tell who was dead and who was dying. There was very little movement left, though the large draconian beast the five Jashinists had summoned earlier was still present and its two doton projectiles had successfully launched into the Prophet, damaging its sails heavily.
The multiple heads of the beast launched an S-rank fuuton attack at Satoshi, which was less visible under the new dark-redness of the sky. The five summoner Jashinists cowered at the sight of Satoshi, all of them having witnessed the bloodshed. They spoke on odd tongues, but summoned nothing else. It appeared to be some sort of code. Then one of them broke off to an oddly shaped hut. As one ran off towards the hut, the remaining Jashinist warriors who'd threatened Botenmaru fell to the ground dead, evidently sacrificed through some method by the summoners' language.
Takao rubbed his eyes as he couldn't believe what he was seeing. Satoshi had actually lost his mind. He had just murdered all those people without hesitation, in a manner so removed from reality that it had nothing to do with his meager ninja training from Arashigakure and everything to do with his unhinged mentality. "I- I think they've had enough," Takao said slowly, a pit forming in his gut that made it hard to move through the bloody battlefield even as he slowly walked towards the odd hut. "They're probably protecting something down there... Maybe the totem's real location."
He wanted to move to the hut, but a grown to his right caught his attention where he saw Tetsu suffering from the effects of his assailant's deafening technique. "I got you," he said slowly as he kneeled beside the ninja that was half-buried through his own military movement technique. He put his hands to Tetsu after making a hand seal, curing Tetsu of the paralysis and the deafness with two applications of healing hands [ ▰ Healing Hands Technique: Major [ Chiyute No Jutsu: Ichidanto ] | Rank A ].
While Botenmaru had ample opportunity to investigate the odd hut, which would lead to an underground tunnel system, Tetsu was temporarily deafened by the woman who had come at him, though she fell dead from the summoner Jashinists as well. With Takao's help, Tetsu would be free to explore or assist in ship repairs if he wished. Soyeon would be faced with a falling-apart ship as the Prophet struggled with structural damage from the two doton projectiles. Finally, Satoshi would still need to handle the hydra monster and the four summoners who had brought him here; in exchange, Yogen would return to the battlefield prematurely.

▱▰▱The mad lad pirate captain watched as his best friend Yogen was dispelled by some strange sealing technique. He broke his invisibility only to reveal his abrupt change of facial expression from manic bloodlust to rage when Yogen disappeared in a cloud of smoke. His avian companion's banishment to the Midnight Dreary Realm by the Jashinists stirred his ire. Satoshi swung his blade in an arc as black flame coated it and sent out fireballs from the edge of the blade to counter the ink and slam into the opposition. Immediately following this, swirling violet chakra with passing horrifying illusory images surrounded his body before forming a giant oni behind him. Otakemaru swung his club downward after striking terror, paralysis, and mental stress into Satoshi's enemies. This was, of course, assuming that the fireballs did not already destroy them. It was at this moment that he felt the bloodstone stored in his coat's breast pocket beginning to burn through his clothes into his skin. He immediately retrieved it with one hand before yelling at the pain and watching the stone burn far brighter with a blinding crimson light. "Avast yee peons, behold Jashin's bloodstone!" Satoshi held the stone in the air in his other hand as he channeled natural chakra through his body which protected him and ceased the burning from the stone's flaring corrupted natural energy. The stone was now held in the palm and claws of Satoshi's crow sage form as black wings formed on his back. Satoshi then applied as much of his own sage chakra to the stone as possible before pointing it at the Sun. Once the stone was aimed a massive ray of crimson energy blasted out of the stone and collided with the Sun. "I hath blinded the Sun with Jashin's own totem! It be with these totems that I'll be able to kill and usurp him! Bow before your new god!" Satoshi felt the power flowing through him as the Sun itself above him was shrouded and blackened. The darkness of midnight then fell upon the corrupted swamp as Satoshi declared his godhood. This arrogant proclamation was followed by a disturbing and unbridled fit of cackling. "OOOOWAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!" Satoshi laughed controllably as he lowered the hand holding the stone and raised his cutlass to any potential challengers who may remain to face him. The illusory Otakemaru roared as Satoshi laughed and raised his club from the ground to match his master.

Soyeon had been with Satoshi during the initial descent onto the swamp filled area, busy talking of things said and done and things that were yet to come. Their destination was Kurosawa, where they'd travel a bit further in order to. She watched the boy fiddle around with his bloodstone before announcing to the crew that landing was imminent. They joined the rest of the crew present while they overlooked the swamp with great interest. Until the ink birds started attacking the airship, coming from the ground below. Soyeon held up an arm to defend herself as ink whizzed past. Satoshi, on the other hand, would take the chance to use Yogen and swoop low towards the approaching village. The others would join in while Soyeon, the ever stalwart pillar of honor and all things not pirate captain liking, would come down just in time to see the devastation that had been caused. Bodies littered the ground from the onslaught of the pirate crew so far. Soyeon's stomach began to wrench as she had hoped some of these were at least painless. Of course they were Jashinists through and through, but slaughtered like they were just animals...

Peons and ants crushed beneath the ebony armor as it wreaked havoc among the rabble. Damp red soil squished beneath his heel. Behind him, another noise. A soft splat, splat splat against the earth below. Botenmaru would wheel his blade around as he pivoted, the weapon raising over his shoulder and lowering as a guillotine, the arm outstretched the unfortunate target. The limb would roll across the mud, staining the ground with unworthy life force. " Weakness." Botenmaru said beneath the helmet. His blade still thirst for more. A feverish desire to slay these low born mongrels. He felt an innate desire to separate himself of association with such weak mortal life.
Troves of Jashinist warriors emerged from the filth, drawn by the visage of death before them. Botenmaru would hold his blade directly before him, it's tip poised toward the chest of the men who gathered before him, slowly circling him in an attempt to surround him. Chakra traveled along the black steel in hand as it morphed it's shape. The sword that had hacked away at his foe now changed it's form into that of a pike that Botenmaru would wield in both hands as the shield remained mounted upon his forearm. From his 5 o'clock a man attempted to render a crushing blow with a mace over head to crush Botenmaru's skull. That vertical arcing blow would be intercepted by the boss of the shield as the shaft of the pike was laid flatly against the cult warrior's abdomen and sent him flying across the battlefield as death met him upon the spikes lain in defense of their home. With the force of this centerfuge building as the pike rotated around Botenmaru's large armored body he would have a man directly to his left try to take advantage of his opening once the right was attacked. A thrust of the man's spear toward Botenmaru would have it splinter against his armor, it's common iron blade sticking into the corpse mountain building below them. Botenmaru would clasp his left gauntlet around the remaining splintered shaft, breaking a large section of it off only to have it plunged into the man's throat as he gargled his final words, tempting to pray to the god who had abandoned him in this fight.
After two slaughtered warriors, the remaining soldiers of Jashin began to slowly back away. Botenmaru would then do something rather uncommon for him. He roared in a blood lust filled challenge to the entire village. " Is there no champion of your god who does not bleed like the meek children of your kin?! Does none exist?! " The soldiers around him hung their heads, shamefully defeated as their weapons began to fall to the ground one after another. Eyes shined brightly in devilish fashion beneath the visor as he scoffed. " Have you no resolve? No honor? One should expect your Jashin would abandon you, you who would worship death but not invite it!" Botenmaru contemplated slaying them....but perhaps it was more cruel to let them live with their shame, fearful of Jashin's spite for an eternity.

Personal Attributes • Will of Steel: The user's endurance cap is raised by 1 point so long as their endurance does not exceed 9. In addition, their rock hard natural skin gains immunity from two physical status effects of choice with the exception of frostbite and dehydration. [ Chosen: Paralysis, Trauma ] • Forge Master: At creation, the user may choose Armor Smithing or Weapon Smithing. The character begins at Apprentice Status in that chosen crafting profession. The user is able to use their Steel Release's metals to forge all weapons and armor they create with durability that matches their body rank. In addition, each weapon or armor crafted this way gains an additional ability unique to that weapon that must utilize the clan's abilities in some way. Finally, items created this way can be freely absorbed into the body and expelled by paying an E Rank amount of chakra with no activation for each item removed during combat in this method. • Iron Tomb: All the user's techniques that would cause petrification in a target are instead changed to metal as they have their flesh's structure changed into steel. This metal element being added to the petrification status causes all petrification to occur at the next highest tier as well as adding an additional cost of the user's body rank in chakra to break the limb free. • Heavy Armor Specialist: Botenmaru's armor is able to endure one additional strike of it's durability level before it degrades. This effect can only be used once every three posts. • Endless Aegis: Botenmaru's shield is treated as heavy armor instead of a weapon, giving any drawbacks standard heavy armor would along with it's defense rating. • Bootyenmaru: Botenmaru's fascination with piracy demonstrated by Satoshi grants him and anyone in his crew ( party/group ) double rewards for Ryo.
Discipline & Cross Class Abilities • Juggernaut [ Bukijutu ] | The user suffers no restrictions of movement or drawbacks from any armor tier they wear and it requires no slot consumption from the Inventory System. In addition, armor they are actively wearing are increased by two ranks in durability and techniques that are increased in effectiveness against armor do not gain that bonus against the user. The user gains a moderate boost to strength and fortitude. Once every three posts, the user is able to defend an attack without paying an activation for the technique, instead spending it upon an offensive action if the user chooses. • Combat Medic [ Medical ] | Shinobi of this discipline gain the ability to pay for their simple taijutsu as complex. This does not alter its strength in collisions in any way from a standard simple technique. The user's body is more attuned to adrenaline, which allows them to receive a benefit from their techniques which use them every other post versus every three post. In addition, the user gains a slight descriptive in a chosen stat per body rank but must utilize all increases in the same descriptive. The user's body is treated with the durability of medium armor without any drawbacks. Furthermore the medical learning reductions gained from this class also count towards taijutsu learning reductions. The shinobi gains three tai slots, one at D rank, one at C rank, and then one at A-ranked. Finally, the user is able to augment their Genesis Rebirth Technique. ▱▰▱Satoshi jumped in the action once again, satisfied by the fear he reaped from the four summoners. Otakemaru continued his terrifying illusory rampage through the village as Satoshi took flight. The bloodstone was stored on the crow sage's person once again now that it was no longer needed. He saw the hydra's damage to the Prophet's sails causing him to loose a cackle before inhaling flames enhanced by sage chakra. When the wind attacks came toward him he released his mighty breath of black flame toward them. The immensely powerful black flame would eat through the wind techniques with ease before it was intended to clash with the hydra. If the incredibly powerful flame attack destroyed the hydra then he would move his breath to focus on torching the summoners as well. I wonder if these fools actually think I'm their god. Satoshi briefly mused as he continued to breathe the hellfire upon his enemies. Takao's earlier assertion that they had enough would not ring true to Satoshi until he could get Yogen back.

Takao removed his hands from Tetsu after healing the ruffian. He looked over to where Botenmaru was near the hut that the fifth summoner had run down and knew something important had to be there. "Let's see if that bloodstone thing is underground," he said as he hurried over and moved through the hut, trying to not dwell on the overwhelming heat of the battlefield from Satoshi's horrifying fire techniques. The sound of the hydra falling to the ground dead and the summoners screaming on fire followed him underground as he followed a linear path.
He found a round room with a low ground roof filled with children bowing around a red stone in the middle. Jashinist symbols surrounded the walls and the cloaks the children wore, and many of the kids were bleeding as they chanted words in a strange tongue that were somehow familiar to him...
He gasped as he recognized the chant as a 'prayer' he had been taught as a child. His stomach turned sickly as he everything came to him at once, and he recalled his own parents' affiliation with Jashinists, how they had performed a religious ceremony on him to seal Chomei in his body; they had taught him from the beginning that obedience was more important than anything else, that he had to understand the power of self-sacrifice. He had been nothing but a sacrificial lamb to their god, much in the way these indoctrinated children were as they chanted and cut their palms with ceremonial blades in sacrifice for Jashin.

The fifth summoner that had taken cover underground turned to notice him, finally, and made a hand seal that made the underground walls shake. "You won't take Jashin's totem, heathen! We will protect it with our lives!" In the same instance the low ceiling began to crumble in, the children leapt their feet to try and stab him with their sacrificial blades.
His stomach churned as he drew his blade. It was almost an out-of-body experience, except he felt strangely empowered, and recognized distantly that Chomei was making himself known and condoning his actions as Takao took an expanding chakra swipe at the room with his blade [ ▰ Reaper Death Slash [ Shinigami no Shi Kiri ] | Rank C | Complex ]. The actual blade cut through the first of the Jashinists in front of him, and the travelling chakra blade sliced through the rest of them and the final summoner with relative ease. Takao dropped his blade and reluctantly stepped through their bodies to grab the stone. "Never again."
He tasted ash on his tongue despite not using any fire technique to end them. The ceiling was still collapsing so he pocketed the stone and ran up the path before it could collapse on him too. He hated himself as he recalled automatically that all of their deaths had been honorable in Jashin's eyes because they had died fighting, and he hated himself more for granting the indoctrinated children a worthwhile death because it felt nothing like the mercy he had wanted for them in the beginning.
"HERE," he announced as he stepped out of the hut just moments before it, too, collapsed from the unstable earth trembling beneath it. He held up the bloodstone in one hand, similar to the totem in Satoshi's hands but with slightly different coloring. He had no idea what it could do to the sky, but he only made it a few steps before he dropped the stone in favor of gripping his knees, doubling over to puke.

▱▰▱Satoshi watched as his actions vanquished the hydra and several Jashinists. He always had the strange out-of-body sensation of when an attack would leave his body. It gave him the false perspective of separation between his attack and the resulting doom. Satoshi broke some skin on his hand before forming a hand seal and manifesting Yogen on his shoulder. "It's about damn time." Yogen said as he appeared out of a red glare of light rather than the standard puff of smoke. His eyes glowed indigo for a moment as Sato's did as well. It was as if a connection was being quickly re-established. "Yee be the one who got unsummoned like the pigeon yee are!" Satoshi barked back as he walked around the smoldering village like it was a lovely spring stroll. When Takao brought back the second totem Satoshi quickly grabbed a hold of it. "Good find, mate! But what are they doin' with two totems? The monkey totem is in the swamp. This looks exactly like the bloodstone we just got from the Realm too." Satoshi examined the second bloodstone closely with his one eye. He retrieved the real bloodstone from his coat pocket and compared them before putting the real one back. He then flippantly chucked the other bloodstone and it landed on the chest of a charred corpse. "Fake!" Satoshi then kept walking out of the village before watching several buildings burn to the ground as he walked away. He then turned around and whistled loudly at all of his crewmates. "Mates! Time ta go ta the swamp!" That was where the monkey totem was supposed to be and that was the real prize.

Takao having moved forward and discovering the Totem only to have it declared a decoy was disheartening to most. Botenmaru was not sure of how it played into the grander scheme of things but he would approach the discarded stone. He knelt down beside it, extending his hand and grasping the stone, examining it carefully. " Hmm." he said, pondering what use they would have of a fake stone. He would hold the stone firmly before tucking it away. He had determined to hold on to the stone and perhaps discover it it were really a fake or if it had some other dormant powers.

Personal Attributes • Will of Steel: The user's endurance cap is raised by 1 point so long as their endurance does not exceed 9. In addition, their rock hard natural skin gains immunity from two physical status effects of choice with the exception of frostbite and dehydration. [ Chosen: Paralysis, Trauma ] • Forge Master: At creation, the user may choose Armor Smithing or Weapon Smithing. The character begins at Apprentice Status in that chosen crafting profession. The user is able to use their Steel Release's metals to forge all weapons and armor they create with durability that matches their body rank. In addition, each weapon or armor crafted this way gains an additional ability unique to that weapon that must utilize the clan's abilities in some way. Finally, items created this way can be freely absorbed into the body and expelled by paying an E Rank amount of chakra with no activation for each item removed during combat in this method. • Iron Tomb: All the user's techniques that would cause petrification in a target are instead changed to metal as they have their flesh's structure changed into steel. This metal element being added to the petrification status causes all petrification to occur at the next highest tier as well as adding an additional cost of the user's body rank in chakra to break the limb free. • Heavy Armor Specialist: Botenmaru's armor is able to endure one additional strike of it's durability level before it degrades. This effect can only be used once every three posts. • Endless Aegis: Botenmaru's shield is treated as heavy armor instead of a weapon, giving any drawbacks standard heavy armor would along with it's defense rating. • Bootyenmaru: Botenmaru's fascination with piracy demonstrated by Satoshi grants him and anyone in his crew ( party/group ) double rewards for Ryo.
Discipline & Cross Class Abilities • Juggernaut [ Bukijutu ] | The user suffers no restrictions of movement or drawbacks from any armor tier they wear and it requires no slot consumption from the Inventory System. In addition, armor they are actively wearing are increased by two ranks in durability and techniques that are increased in effectiveness against armor do not gain that bonus against the user. The user gains a moderate boost to strength and fortitude. Once every three posts, the user is able to defend an attack without paying an activation for the technique, instead spending it upon an offensive action if the user chooses. • Combat Medic [ Medical ] | Shinobi of this discipline gain the ability to pay for their simple taijutsu as complex. This does not alter its strength in collisions in any way from a standard simple technique. The user's body is more attuned to adrenaline, which allows them to receive a benefit from their techniques which use them every other post versus every three post. In addition, the user gains a slight descriptive in a chosen stat per body rank but must utilize all increases in the same descriptive. The user's body is treated with the durability of medium armor without any drawbacks. Furthermore the medical learning reductions gained from this class also count towards taijutsu learning reductions. The shinobi gains three tai slots, one at D rank, one at C rank, and then one at A-ranked. Finally, the user is able to augment their Genesis Rebirth Technique. Not only does this discipline allow the user to utilize the technique twice, but each time the user is restored of 250 chakra. The user also deals with trauma they receive at one rank less than other ninja. • Medical-Bukijutsu | The user is able to slash their weapon at a target, applying a healing technique to it and casting it upon the target. Every three posts the user is able to combine offensive medical ninjutsu with a bukijutsu technique for one activation, paying only the resource cost every three posts. Medical techniques cast in this manner cost five chakra less per rank of the technique.
