Grog was bored.
B.O.R.E.D. Bored.
Since Dart Pang had gone back home he found himself hanging around in the territory she called home, hoping to see her out and about again. So far he hadn't. He hadn't seen Pike either for that matter. Thus, the giant lug of a cat found himself stomping up to Riverclan's entrance, looking at it with a funny face and a head tilt.
"Um.." he coughed, staring at the prickly barrier before him before trying to meerkat himself and look up and over. "HELLO....TOMS AND...OR QUEENS....." he started screaming, his deep voice now booming outside of Riverclan. "CAN DART PANG COME OUT AND PLAY......UH.... PLEASE?" he finished before sitting down and curling his tail around his paws, trying to wait patiently.
Which wasn't very patiently at all.

Thump.
Inglorious, and very confused, half yowl.
Then, the Leader's den exploded with fur and fury. Running through the entrance, Shadowstar stared down the intruder with fangs bared and all claws out. With every hair on end, she stood ready to battle the strange cat.
Recognition didn't help, he was one of the loners from the Gathering. All memories blanked out with a blanket of red rage. "This is MY Territory, Get. Out! There is no Dart Pang here even if there were, this is Riverclan territory!" Who in the silverplet was Dart Pang? As Leader she knew every cat in her clan. There wasn't a one of them that had a name even close to that.
Her patrol teams were going to have a LOT to answer for after this was handled.

Barkfang had been resting after her trip, she'd reported back to Shadowstar about unsuccessfully killing the dogs but had at least made them so sick that it was unlikely they would ever want to leave the garden again. Her eyes had just began closing when from across the other side of the campgrounds she heard a familiar, booming voice. oh no she thought, getting up, stretching before moving quickly
"SHADOWSTAR WAIT" she yowled as she rushed across towards her leader, seeing the tank of a cat's fur standing on end, ready for battle. "Wait... i know him" she said, glancing around "GROG WAIT THERE" she yelled at him, while moving to stand between her leader and the barrier. "I can explain" she said to Shadowstar.

Grog shot to his paws as a cat raced out, huge grin spread over his features as he stood to tower over the she cat. Front paws had raised slightly for a playful poune when confusion caused him to pause.
His head tilted and his eyes narrowed. "Dart Pang?" he blinked, leaning forward to sniff the she cat. It smelled like Dart Pang... but it didn't look like Dart Pang. "Did you get spit on again?!" he suddenly recoiled, jealousy noticable in his voice before a frown washed over his features.
And then another cat came rushing out of the camp and stood between him and the other, this one looking like the cat he remembered. "DART PANG!" he laughed loudly, flopping onto his side and launching a volly of soft paw blows into her side like a kitten, all about forgetting about the other she cat.

The strange cat raised a paw and she braced herself. Many practice battles against the tallcat taught her exactly how to deal with this deathwish. As the deep growl began to rumble, her opponate seemed to be battling with confusion. Was he even talking cat? There were words she knew but he wasn't making any sense. That was no going to save him from death!
Out of nowhere, Barkfang of all cats came running out. Blinking several times, she repeated in a voice way softer than she expected, "Dart Pang?" Her aggression drained out as confusion flooded her. She defluffed, fur settling back against muscled sides.
As the red drained from her vision, she pulled in her claws and finally really looked at the cat as she looked between them. "You can explain?" Her voice projected the confusion. How did Barkfang know this cat? Why did the cat call her Dart Pang? What is a Dart Pang? "Is that the cat from the meeting?" Her voice edged with amusement now. @Luna @Revel

Barkfang moved away a little when Grog playkicked her "One moment Grog, this is my Clanleader, she's a strong cat, let me talk with her, i'll come talk in a minute ok?" she asked him, bapping his foot with her paw in a strangely (to anyone who knew her) playful gesture.
She turned to Shadowstar, glad she'd calmed down. "I met him on my way back, he went to fight the dogs but i got there first with my herbs, he still fought them though" she said, sitting, her tail swishing nervously "I'm... Dart Pang is what he calls me, i think there may be something wrong with his understanding of Clan Names, or ... well i don't know but he thinks he's saying it right" her ears twitched as she hoped the large tom listened and was waiting like she'd asked. "He...escorted me back, in return i promised i would ...train.. with him" that wasn't exactly a lie.... they had called it training after all. @Luna @RuSilverDragon

"Wut" was the only thing Grog said as Barkfang told him to wait and moved closer to the other she cat. Sitting up, he eyed the two of them before letting out a groan.
Oh how he hated waiting.
Groaning, he stared down at his paws, kneading the ground so furiously he about ripped up all the grass there had been on that particular patch until it was nothing but dirt left.
And then finally after two seconds he couldn't take it anymore. "AAAAUUUUUHHHHHHGGGGGGGG SO BOOOOOORRREEEDD. Can I just borrow Dart Pang....PUHLEASE. I'll bring her right back." he eyed the other cat that was supposedly the leader.
She looked tough, real tough.
He liked that. "Or you could come...uh.... train with us." he grinned, thinking himself cheeky. @RuSilverDragon @Revel

Oh she saw that. Just, what did she just see? This felt like a dream of life backwards. Not for the first time today, all she could think was 'what?!' Now sitting, she calmly waited for the world to start making sense.
"His bravery is impressive at least.." It was, while Brightstar wanted to cower in her camp this cat jumped to battle. That said, he seemed to be a few mice short of a colony. "You know it isn't safe for him to be here. Wildflower would have his hide." She almost did if Barkfang hadn't jumped into it.
Now the overgrown kit started whining earning him an irritated sigh. Borrow barkfang? Whatever for? Training? Oh that she could get behind. "It you want to train. I'll be happy to show you what I can do! Not in this territory though, we can't have loners wondering in." Standing up, she flexed her claws. Not only would the battle be interesting but it would drive home all the reasons to leave her territory alone.
Practically purring, she started to move towards the other cat. Far past time to herd him out of her home then give him a head pat to remember.

Barkfang winced when Grog complained, asked Shadowstar to train with them, and Shadowstar accepted "W...wait..." she moved next to Grog and whispered in his ear "I promised i'd show you how to make the dogs sick, remember?" she said "and that it was a secret" she looked back towards Shadowstar. "I..i can escort him out Shadowstar, i've got patrol anyway" she wanted the other female away from Grog, wanted him to herself .. again ... oh WHY did he have to come follow her right into the clan... @Luna @RuSilverDragon

Grog's face spread into the biggest grin and he laughed, almost bringing his front paws together in a 'clap'
And then it deflated.
"Aww but..." he pouted, stomping a paw as Dart Pang told them no then whispered to him. He made a sort of ;o; face before zipping his mouth shut tight. "OK I PROMISE." he then said in the loudest whisper ever. Though he couldn't help but stare at Shadowstar.
The more he stared the more he grinned. "Naww c'mon, none of this escortin' business yet! Just one training session first?" he gave Dart Pang the pretty please face and his best charming grin, which was more goofy, albeit slightly charming. @RuSilverDragon @Revel

Oh she had so many questions. Wildflower is going to think she lost her mind when she tells her about this. After a strong talk about territory security. Maybe by then she'll figure out just what was going on here. Just based on Barkfang's behavior, this cat could hang around. However, the leader in her couldn't let amusement get the best of her.
Oh but the amusement was there in spades.
The prospect of a training session still held appeal. "I am happy to train." She flexed her claws and rolled her shoulders, "But first, outside the territory, now." Her eyes went to Barkfang as she gave a little nudge of her head to encourage the she-cat to get this moving.

Barkfang knew when she was defeated, didn't mean she liked it though. "I suppose one fight couldn't hurt, but be warned Grog, she might be small but she is mighty, there's a good reason she's clan leader" She admitted with an annoyed sigh.
She led Grog outside the clan grounds with a tail curving under his chin "This way to training grounds then" she huffed then stood off to one side, leaving the big brute space to spar with the 'tank' of a clan leader. She was annoyed her leader hadn't taken the hint either, this was getting out of her control and she was edgy, she didn't like it, she had liked having Grog to herself. @Luna @RuSilverDragon

Grog grinned, flicking his tail at Dart Pang with a wink and a soft purr. "I think I can handle her." he whispered back to her, nodding his head at this other Moss cat. "Alright alright...uh... Shaaadoooee...soar? was it." he mrrred, opening his mouth softly and taking in the green cats scent.
She smelled like Dart Pang but also like so many other cats at the same time, especially that of another male. His nose wrinkled and he turned back to look at Dart Pang. She smelled more like a mix of cats and him. He liked that better. Except there was still too many confusing scents in the mix.
"So...um... how many of you all...is there...exactly. Are you all super super tough fighters?? Can I fight you all?!" he grinne, getting excited again.

Her lip curled up despite herself. Hearing Barkfang speak highly --albet begrudgingly-- of her was worth this headache. Grog had plenty of confidence. She'd show him.
"Yes, my name is Shadowstar." Though given how Grog butchered Barkfang's name, there was no way to telling what her name would end up.
Heading to the training ground, she chuckled and told Grog, "Yes they are all strong. I'd have to defeat me before you could hope to challenge them." Once she kicked his tail, hopefully that would end the threat. @Luna @Revel

Barkfang was tempted to say something to Grog when he said he could take Shadowstar in a fight but she decided to let him learn his lesson the hard way, perhaps he'd be more inclined to listen once he realised she'd been totally right.
She eyed Shadowstar too "Sparring, not killing Shadowstar, after all he was of some help when i was on my .. task" she purred, playing up Grog's role in the whole thing as more of a reason for Shadowstar to be perhaps more generous in allowing him around. She sat, groomed a paw, and waited for the fight to start. @Luna @RuSilverDragon

Grog rolled his shoulders and neck, a slight popping sound as he preparred himself for. Well. Something. In his head two ideas were swimming. A spar with Shadowstar and .. a spar like he had had with Dart Pang. Both sounded exciting to him and sometimes were probably the same thing. He chuckled and lashed his tail playfully at Dart Pang. "Don't underestimate these muscles." he said and posed briefly.
He then turned back to Shadowstar with a grin, stretching out his back by extending his back legs before straightening up. "Well... you tell me when. Ladies first...after all." his deep mew purred, his eyes alight with a spark. @RuSilverDragon @Revel

Shadowstar's ear flickered, calmly smiling at Barkfang. "I won't kill him. Just teach him a lesson he won't forget." Two lessons, don't mess with her and don't mess with her clan.
Taking the luxury of fully stretched her well earned muscles, Shadowstar remarked, "Same to you." Just because she had a pretty face didn't mean she could put him in his place.
Seeming just to yawn, full fangs on display, she used the action to hide the preattack shifts. He was very silly to let her go first.
All at once she charged forward full might surging forward to give him a first blow to remember. @Revel @Luna

Barkfang watched intently, though she feigned only half interest, her body looked relaxed but her eyes were wide and watched every movement the two cats made, she had to hold her tongue as she almost warned Grog of Shadowstar's attack, as much as she really likedd Grog, Shadowstar, even when she was at her most annoying, was still her Clan Leader. @Luna @RuSilverDragon

Grog was dumb.
But he wasn't battle dumb.
As she lunged at him he turned so she'd hit his shoulder, taking her blow to gauge her strength. As he was pushed on his paws his eyes went wide with shock before he laughed. Twisting, he aimed to use his size to wrap his front legs around her and try to bring her to the ground, all the while giving out a gruff laugh that almost sounded crazed. "This kind of battle then?! You're strong! Just how I like my Queens aahahkdajfa! Dart Pang mentioned she had strong friends!" @RuSilverDragon @Revel

Barkfang couldn't help wince more than once as the two cats traded blows, It was fairly even to a point but Shadowstar wasn't clan leader for nothing and just came out on top. Barkfang also noted that shadowstar was a much smaller cat that could wear down a larger one in a longer fight.
She watched as Shadowstar stalked off, leaving her to have grog to herself, suited Barkfang fine and she got up, walked over to him and gave his shoulder a nudge "Don't feel bad, you did better against her than any other cat i've seen try taking her on" she purred, curling her tail under his chin and turning to lead him away from clan grounds, away from any other cats that might have been watching, she was NOT sharing him... nope..

Grog looked anything but sad, in fact, he looked rather excited and pumped. Still, a small glimmer of a frown fell over him and he sighed. "She's tough... you weren't kidding." he shook his head, turning to lick at a spot on his shoudler he'd no doubt be bruised from. "I want a rematch!" he laughed, getting to his paws, about to turn tail and follow after the mossy green cat when Barkfang's tail touched his chin.
Turning back he eyed the brown and purply spit on she cat then grinned, a deep but soft purr rumbling in his throat. "Oh... is it more...traning time now?" he asked her, his chest puffing out in pride at her compliment. So no one else could come close to defeating that green cat, eh?
Stars swam across his vision as he followed Dart Pang.... @Revel

Barkfang chuckled though she didn't know how Grog still had the energy to be so peppy, then again.... she grinned to herself, maybe she did.
"Well i did tell you i don't lie Grog, it's not my fault if other cats don't believe me, that's their problem" Her ears flattened as she seemed to want to go back and fight Shadowstar again but was relieved almost instantly.
"Yes Grog... the other kind of training" she purred back as she stalked away from the clan grounds, feeling rather smug. @Luna

Grog glanced back over his shoulder with a sigh. He hadn't ever found or fought a cat that tough, he liked it. He was going to miss her....maybe he could come over and spar again sometime.
The thought made him grin.
As Dart Pang began to leave however, he turned back to her, purring. "Ight, ight but I'm not going easy on you this time!" he siad with a crazed laugh and pounced after her like a giant kitten. @Revel
