xxxPERSONALITYxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
TRAIT Curious Séaghdha enjoys probing people, he likes understanding the way their minds work. People interest him. Knowing more about others helps him create. TRAIT Dramatic Séaghdha tends to over exaggerate things a little. Not enough to blow situations out of proportion but he will adjust minor aspects of events just to make them more exciting. Sometimes this does tend to backfire on him though. TRAIT Disorganized Controlled chaos might as well be Séaghdha’s middle name with how he keeps him belongings. He doesn’t have any rhyme or reason to how he puts his belongings up or how he adjusts his room he just does what feels right, which is usually nothing and ends with him leaving things on the floor. Which he declares fuels his creativity. TRAIT Protective While Séaghdha doesn’t really like conflict, he also doesn’t appreciate people bothering the people he cares about. So despite his frail frame he is usually willing to throw hands with anyone who might try and hurt his loved ones…even if he know the outcome most likely won’t be in his favor. TRAIT Friendly Séaghdha thrives when he is meeting new people and thus tries his best to be as friendly as possible. Not exactly an extrovert but the boy does enjoy being around others. TRAIT Creative Séaghdha prides himself on his imagination and his ability to weave words. His words are his strongest weapon and without them he feels like he would have nothing. So he uses his words to craft worlds and ensnare anyone who is willing to listen to his tales, the ones that he has created.

xxxBACKSTORYxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
EARLY CHILDHOOD Séaghdha and his twin sister Mallaidh were born to teen authors Patrick O’Hannagain and Dinah Heyman. Growing up the twins didn’t have all that much, what with their parents only working small jobs. When Séaghdha and Mallaidh were about 3 years old, their mother left without a word, to them at least. Leaving the twins with just their father. Patrick ended up having to take a second job and put his dreams on hold so that he could raise the two children. Because of his lack of free time he hired a babysitter, a young woman named Saoirse. She took care of Séaghdha and Mallaidh and honestly cared for the children, even taking them to her home when their father sometimes took graveyard shifts. She felt like a mother in Séaghdha’s eyes, after all she was always there for them. When the two started primary school, Patrick couldn’t afford to pay Saoirse any longer, but despite this she still came to visit regularly. During school, Séaghdha thrived. He enjoyed meeting the other children and befriending them, reveling in the companionship. Now when his father worked and Saoirse couldn’t come visit, Séaghdha and Mallaidh were often left to fend for themselves outside of school. To pass the time, Séaghdha often fabricated stories to tell his twin and he would almost always act them out with her help. It was more fun that way, almost like they were both telling the story. The possibilities were endless as long as they were having fun. Around age 8, while the twins were left home alone, Séaghdha and Mallaidh began playing like normal but were interrupted when their father came home and saw that some of their toys and books seemed to be floating all on their own. This caused Patrick to panic, scaring the young boy and causing the objects to crash to the ground. It wasn’t long before this was all explained to Patrick who, despite being skeptical, wanted the best for his son (and Daughter, as Mallaidh showed her signs of magic as well.) So when they both received their Hogwarts letters, they did their best to prepare for this new schooling.
SCHOOL YEARS ■ School life was fairly standard for Séaghdha. He was a social boy but was never the best with his studies always getting distracted by one thing or another. He and Mallaidh ended up joining The Adventurer's guild, and Mallaidh even ended up running the club. Which Séaghdha was super proud of. Nothing really crazy happened to him during these years and for that he was grateful
POST-GRADUATION Currently Séaghdha is trying to find a job that would suit his tastes,

COLD xxx»» Mallaidh isn't one to wear her emotions on her sleeve, quite the opposite, in fact. She dislikes dramatic expressions of people's feelings, and especially hates it when she shows them herself. She tries to keep her thoughts and feelings to herself, not thinking that they're anybody else's business. She is uncomfortable with people who are very emotional. She comes across as being quite distant, and even robotic, at times.
IMPATIENT xxx»» She doesn't like to spend a lot of time waiting on things. She is very much a doer, preferring to improvise in the act over settling down and thinking things through. Waiting, she thinks, is a waste of valuable time, which could be better utilized. If she is in a situation where she has to draw up a plan, she will usually draw up the simplest version she can, to take up as little time as possible, and leave a lot of wiggle room to figure it out as she goes.
ADAPTABLE xxx»» Lucky for her, Mallaidh is very quick on her feet. She reacts quickly to stimuli and is excellent at improvisation. Her mind moves quickly through her options so that she can try and figure out the outcomes to each choice. Years of focusing on puzzles and puzzle games has trained her mind to read the room quickly and figure out what can and should be done.
OBSERVANT xxx»» When she was younger, Mallaidh had a very hard time interacting with other people, especially children her own age. Relying on her brother and caring more about things like books and her studies left her with minimal social skills, and her tunnel vision could get in the way of her understanding. Years at Hogwarts trained her to watch people a little more closely, with the buffer of her brother often missing. She still doesn't interact much, but she spends a fair amount of time people-watching and analyzing behaviors that are somewhat foreign to her.
CURIOUS xxx»» Mallaidh doesn't like being idle, preferring to fill her time with something to enrich her mind. She likes puzzles and stories, and generally will find a creative way to use her time if left to her own devices. She loves to read and to explore, carrying a journal around with her pretty much everywhere to make note of anything that catches her eye. She usually fills one of these notebooks a week, and her father has taken to buying them in bulk for simplicity's sake.
QUIET xxx»» Mallaidh doesn't talk much, preferring to keep to herself. She usually leaves the socializing to her brother, who is much more personable, and mostly makes friends through him. She usually thinks things through and decides whether or not her contributions to a conversation are necessary; if not, she tends to keep them to herself. She's not usually one to start a conversation, quite liking to sit in silence and often forgetting that others might find it uncomfortable.

CHILDHOOD xxx»» Mallaidh was one of a set of twins born to Patrick O'Hannigan and Dinah Heyman. She doesn't like to talk much about that, though, because when she and her brother Seaghdha were only three years old, their mother disappeared from their lives, no explanation, no contact, nothing. Her brother took it well enough, being the more optimistic of the two of them, but as soon as Mallaidh was old enough to understand what'd happened, she became very bitter about the whole thing. She doesn't remember her mother at all, and doesn't see any point to keeping around photos, or talking about her as if she's some important figure in her life. She especially doesn't see the point in pretending like she's anything but an incubator, because as far as Mallaidh is concerned, if she has a mother, it's her childhood babysitter Saoirse. Unlike Dinah, Saoirse was always there for her and her brother, even when their father couldn't be. Honestly, Mallaidh considers her almost more of a parent than Patrick, though she'd never say so to his face. xxx»» Mallaidh was a very anti-social child, not caring for company other than that of her family. She took strongly to the stories that Saoirse and Seaghdha would tell her, enjoying their fanciful notions of the world outside their home town. She was equally delighted with her brother's magic, once it manifested, though she never really considered that she might have it as well. Seaghdha was a dreamer, a story waiting to happen, so of course he had magic. It only made sense. Mallaidh, on the other hand, was very much a grounded, down to Earth child, and so she never expected to be so special. Of course, the manifestation of her own magic was nothing like her brother's. Quite the opposite, in fact, because while his was born of excitement and joy, hers was an explosion of anger at their father, who was trying to get her to open up on the subject of their mother. Mallaidh had no desire to talk about a person she didn't even remember, and resented that her father constantly tried to remind her of the woman's existence. She suspected that he, and maybe her brother, always wished she would come back, but Mallaidh thought they were better off without her. She did a good job at keeping her anger in check, or at least, she thought she did. Outwardly, she showed no signs of being upset, other than her eyes. But as she spoke, the objects in the room began to literally shake with the intensity of her feelings. At first, her father thought it was Seaghdha, and begged him to stop, but he insisted that it wasn't him. It took them all a moment to realize that actually, it was Mallaidh. A few years later, a man came to their home, letters in hand, informing them that the twins were magical, and would be attending a special magical school. Mallaidh was skeptical, but curious, and found herself looking forward to what sounded to her an awful lot like an adventure.
SCHOOL YEARS xxx»» Mallaidh was at odds with the magical world in the early days. Magic, and the way it functioned, was to her mind something that should exist only in fairy tales. Still, she found herself excited by the prospect of a whole new world with a whole new history to discover, and threw herself into her studies. She and her brother were sorted into separate houses, which resulted in her not being able to rely on him as heavily for the little social contact she required. She did make one friend, a fellow Slytherin named August, who she more or less ended up coaching through some rather awkward social situations with a girl. Considering Mallaidh herself wasn't blessed with anything approaching social graces, it was pretty bad that she had to be the voice of reason. She decided pretty early on that she had no desire for romance, which suited her just fine as she didn't seem to feel inclined towards it, anyway. Meanwhile, without the twins to give their father an excuse to see their former nanny, Patrick realized how much he had come to care about and rely on Saoirse. The two began seeing each other socially, then dating, and eventually married.
