tab The Hallowed Shores are so named for reasons no one truly understands. Built into the walls of a massive canyon, the top and bottom of which remain shrouded in mists, the Hallowed Shores host entire legions of nightmarish monstrosities from the deepest, blackest dreams in creation. With bridges built of bones and sinew strung across between sides serving as alleys and caverns designed and formed like skulls with gaping maws every destination here appears to be built from the greatest of ghost stories ever known. Cobweb covered trees sprouting from the stones, membrane-like crystals erupting from the walls, and bloody rivers with tentacled beasts that inhabit them appear a mainstay of the locale, and through it all weaves the forces of the Nightmare Earls and their houses: Skeletons, Ghosts, and Zombies.
tab The Houses here are easy to find, but difficult to get to. Each House is homed in the titanic skull of some monster, something more grotesque than anything else that defies definition. Inside lie an amphitheater where all that call the House home may live. In the direct center lies a titanic Hour Glass, the top of which is tied a member of the House, but gutted, with a single drop of Blood falling for every Kringal Point earned. They are "alive", but not, considered lost to their House and People. Attached to it, right at the center, is a simple black flag with the House's name stitched in the Common Tongue in white upon it.
