What Sub said didn't exactly make Tristen feel any better. So not dead. Great. Trapped somewhere where they couldn't reach with anything resembling ease? And in not any state where she could possibly defend herself if need be, if he had to take a guess. So even if Ziton was defeated, that wasn't to suggest any other horror that lie in wait where Crystal was at.
"Tristen?" I spoke up to the Manetric hybrid, noting no different of a change in mood. "Tristen."
"Hm?" Tristen said.
"Sitting there moping isn't going to do anything for you."
"I know...I know!" Tristen said. "Ugh, Blizz, how do you do it!?" He shouted grasping his head. "I feel like there should have been something else I could have done! Or maybe that I wasn't good enough!"
Freth looked up from her meal, severely irritated, and promptly smacked me across the head. "ACK!" I nearly dropped Articuno's meal, but it made the legendary bird jump all the same from the sudden attack on me. "What the hell was that for!?"
"Your fault." Freth said.
"What?"
"That right there." She said pointing to Tristen. It took a second for me to actually comprehend what she was getting that.
"...." I sighed, resigned, dead to rights for the most part. "Uh...Articuno, here." I said, getting up, sitting the plate down for Articuno to finish partaking its meal. "Finish up, I'll be back in a few. Freth, mind keeping an eye on Articuno?"
"...what...are you doing?"
"Going for a walk." I said. "Come on, Tristen."
"Wha..."
"Let's go. Get up." Tristen stared for a moment, a bit reluctant, just about knowing where this may lead, but sighed anyhow, getting up. "Be back shortly." I then announced to no one in particular.
"Arrriii?"
"I'll be back Articuno. Promise. Alright? Just eat. You had a long day. I won't be far." I said, walking off with Tristen.

Brian gave his fellow Snagem a friendly smile, which grew as Articuno dug into the plate of food with gusto after that first bite. A moment later, Sub spoke up, mentioning someone named Crystal and how she'd been possessed by the Ziton, yet somehow wasn't dead, despite her body no longer being useable. Brian didn't know what to say; he didn't know Crystal, but it was obvious that she was highly respected in the group. He was about to walk back to where the table of food was when Blizz and Tristen both spoke up.
Brian's heart went out to Tristen; it was clear the Manectric hybrid cared about all his teammates. "Don't do that, Tristen," he said, in response to Tristen saying he thought there was something else he could have done. "From what I've heard, ye did everything ye could to help her. Nobody could have done more." He knew his words probably wouldn't help, but he had to say something to keep Tristen from falling into the pit of 'what ifs' that he'd fallen into all those years before. Even now, he could still see Lily's face staring back at him, her eyes clouded over when they finally found her. It never worked to dwell on the past; Brian had done his share of that, and to this day, he still wondered if there was something he could have done to prevent Lily's death.

Aden stayed quiet until after Blizz and Tristen walked off, sighing and looking down for a moment. "I... ugh, you know, I can't fault him right now," he remarked, seemingly musing aloud at the scene. "I've lost track of how many times I said the same remarks out of the same frustration. Probably worried and thinks he's partly responsible for the outcome too, if not directly. Blizz isn't wrong, but I don't know of a single person who hasn't wished for a redo button at some point or another."
He'd let out Wooloo and Bronzong to have a chance to stretch and have a meal theirselves, and opt to sit down somewhat near Articuno- distant enough to hopefully keep it at ease, but close enough that he could help keep an eye on it if it came down to it. Though, it didn't feel terribly necessary even so. "You know, you both did good out there earlier. Same for you, Articuno, even if it was a little nerve-wracking."
