EARLY CHILDHOOD Harlynn was born the first and clearly best of Wellbeloves. The world simply could not wait! Though apparently the youngest of them had to be special and be born a day late. Being the oldest she always made herself in charge much to the disdain of the many nannies who simply weren't good enough. Sure teased her siblings but they were the only ones worthwhile. They were a team. The team that always wins. They went through countless nannies as none measured up. Harlynn spooked one real bad when she didnt wanna wear the outfit picked by the nanny and her magic set the wardrobe on fire. All the good dresses were fine at least. All at once they got their Hogwarts letters. Hopefully this school will be good enough!

Like any of her siblings she’s quick to defend her family, but Echo also likes to pretend she doesn’t need help and is perfectly confident and content on her own.
CONVENTIONAL While Echo Angharad has always tried to come up with original or creative ideas , she often resorts to simply copying a sample and recreating things with small modifications or adjustments-- “seamless improvements” -- rather than pioneering anything particularly new. Although she doesn’t quite have an original eye, Echo Angharad enjoys learning about materials and budgets and studies diligently to identify trends and their historical inspirations. While she can paint fairly adeptly, she struggles to translate her visions to the page. As loathe as she is to admit it, Echo relies on Milan’s discerning eye for her own appearance and his artistic talent for translating her thoughts.

xxx★BACKSTORY✩xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx ★✩EARLY CHILDHOODEcho Angharad Wellbelove is the second daughter of muggleborn fashion designer and icon Charlotte Wellbelove’s artificially inseminated quadruplets. Along with her siblings Harlynn, Milan, and Yaretzi, Echo Angharad attended a prestigious private school in Cardiff, Wales. Due to their mother’s job in fashion, all of the quadruplets were raised with knowledge of tailoring and clothes design.
Echo was a gifted student from the start, and her studiousness ensured she constantly maintained perfect or at least high marks at everything she set her hand at. Her grades, particularly science and math, were a matter of pride, and she applied her diligent habits to studying fashion and makeup trends and studying perfumes. Early on she made a few friends but eventually grew distant as they found new groups and other friends, likely turned off by Echo constantly correcting them. Generally, Echo thought most people in her class were stupid and stifling; she preferred to work alone or with her siblings, who were the only ones who could possibly bring out or match her ability.
At home, Echo hated the endless turnover of nannies meant to watch over them. The nanny was always a new face who didn’t understand how special the quadruplets were but had their own bossy ideas. Even worse, they would leave in a few weeks or months at most. Eventually, Echo wrote them off and stopped bothering to even remember their names. When she was in second grade, Echo came home upset from summer camp to find the nanny in her room. Her anger turned the water to ice and shattered the small tank, cutting herself, the nanny, and killing Iekeliene, her goldfish. The nanny had just been trying to help clean the tank, but Echo made sure the nanny was sacked that night. Later that summer, she won Iekeliene II, a betta fish, from a school trivia contest.
Otherwise, Echo loved life at home. Aside from that one incident, Echo’s early magic was mostly subtle: little tweaks to make her hair straight or making sure her workstation was always clean and neat. Echo worked with her siblings or studied alone, and Momma taught them about fashions and magic theory, both which Echo Angharad applied her usual studiousness and curiosity towards.
Echo Angharad partially looked forward to Hogwarts--she couldn’t wait to do her own magic and learn more about magic--but she also dreaded leaving her momma and their luxurious life at home.
★✩SCHOOL YEARS ★FIRST YEAR Echo was heartbroken to be separated from Milan at the Sorting and refused to partake in the Sorting feast in silent rebellion aside from sipping her chocolate milk. She joined the Art Club and Quidditch with her siblings, and the Daily Dragon with Milan. However, at the Daily Dragon she was paired up with Taylor Olson, a rival of the Wellbeloves, and positively frustrated with the pairing. Towards the end of the year, her fish Iekeliene died at a ripe old age, leaving Echo mourning for a week or so. She aced her exams, and at the end of the year stumbled upon and charmed by Landon Shah, an older student looking for flowers for his sick sister.
✩SECOND YEAR was going to be fantastic. Echo and Milan's fashion column had been approved in the Daily Dragon, and Echo was of course at the top of her classes as usual. In April, Echo was paired with Dominik Knapp for a potions project. Their disagreements--and Echo's snide remarks--were met with Chadwick Knapp confronting her one afternoon and accidentally cutting her hair. Echo screamed and ran to the White Tomb in a panic. When she ended up missing herbology, Yari found her. Yari helped her not repair but restyle her hair into something unique. It formed a better recognition and acceptance of each other's strengths, and tightened their bond. Echo stuck as much as possible to herself and her quadruplets afterwards anyways, aside from working on her Daily Dragon Assignments with Taylor Olson.
★THIRD YEAR Echo started her third year with 8 electives (plus Advanced Quidditch) on top of taking on her usual clubs and managing editor for the Daily Dragon. It quickly proved a stressful schedule-- just before the winter break, Echo freaked out about an Arithmancy exam and wrote a cheat sheet. She ended up acing the exam without using it, but the sheet was caught and Yari was given detention for it. Then in spring, she received her first E for her Law final. As Echo nearly broke down from the workload and panic, Taylor of all people swooped in, covering for the fashion article that Echo should have done.
Over the summer, she and Taylor covered the Arts Festival-- particularly the panel both their mums featured in, and maybe came to a kind of peace.
✩FOURTH YEAR With Milan in a teenage brooding mood, Echo found herself more isolated from her quadruplets than she was used to and spent much of her free time hanging around with Landon Shah again-- then the year was punctuated when she confronted Landon about their relationship and was harshly informed that he had simply been using her as an entertainment. The betrayal broke her heart. From it though, she surprisingly grew closer to Daphne, who called her out on not letting others see how hard she worked to achieve her grades.
★FIFTH YEAR Feeling defeated by her lack of socialization now that Landon was out of the picture, being passed over for prefect and various other leadership opportunities, and feeling like a failure at being seeker, Echo now sank all her effort into her schoolwork. She became even more insistent that she do all the bonus problems in classes and read extra readings. At the end of the year, Echo liked to think that her efforts helped Slytherin win the House Cup.
As she poured her effort into academics, she found any semblance of design creativity dried up. Instead, she helped Milan with his line of designs, both of their spiralling and sinking their emotions into work.
Over the summer, Yari's boyfriend and Milan's best friend exploded himself in an animagus transformation gone wrong. Echo stuck with them, taking care of her siblings as best she could--until her OWL grades came back with 3 Es. She threw a fit and abandoned her usual rigor.
✩SIXTH YEAR Echo was burnt out and beyond caring. She still attended and studied for classes, but no longer treated every extra credit question as mandatory, no longer holed herself up to study. As long as Echo knew Milan and Yari were safely drowning their grief in their work, Echo started ditching Art Club and other things, electing to spend her time at the White Tomb. During one of these escapades, Syd Barrett found her. Echo found the affection and admiration she craved from Syd .and together they explored hallucinogenic drugs together and started a friends-with-benefits kind of relationship.
In Winter, Yari attempted suicide-- Echo walked into the room as Daphne took Yari to the Hospital Wing. From then, Yari was sent home to recover. In Spring, Milan fell down the Grand Staircase and was confined to the Hospital Wing for much of the year afterwards. Even her attempts to help her quadruplets had epically failed.
Apparation was a consistent thorn in her side throughout the year, and the first time she tried stretching beyond a nearby line of sight, she splinched her neck, traumatizing herself from apparaition in the process. Even Quidditch continued to frustrate her: Echo still wasn't doing well as seeker, and when she was assigned captain of one of the teams during a Pick-up game, her team was annihilated by her old enemy, Dominik Knapp.

His mom worked in the fashion industry, a top notch designer in her field. The kids grew up mostly under the supervision of whatever nanny was hired. At first it was fine, with the kids enjoying the company... then they all started showing magic.
When he was four, Milan threw a fit and accidentally busted all the seams from all the clothes in the room. That, of course, wasn't well received. The nanny quit on the spot, despite Charlotte trying to offer her a new outfit. Their mom was so delighted that all four of her kids were magic, she decided to start tutoring them early on the weekends when she was home. They were well educated, between their mother, their nannies, and, of course, their expensive private school. Once they hit eleven, all four were greeted with their official Hogwarts letter, proving their magical affluence.
xxx𝒮𝒸𝒽𝑜𝑜𝓁 𝒴𝑒𝒶𝓇𝓈xxx Staring school, the quadruplets decided they would focus on staying together. Unfortunately, all of that changed on day one. The girls were all sorted to Slytherin, while Milan got put in Ravenclaw. Even still, they did their best. Often it meant him hanging out in their dorm, kicking out their gross, unfashionable roommate. Luckily, he didn't have to interact with her.
Milan joined the news team, and within a couple years, was the leader. He appointed a few helpers, one being Echo, the others being... there. As the quads grew, they bonded tighter, causing most others to dislike and distrust them. That was the way they preferred it. Somewhere, in fifth year, he made friends with a boy in the year below, Angier Zheng. He tried to profess a crush to the boy, but Angier misinterpreted, thinking Milan was saying Yari liked him. Before Milan was able to correct him, Angier and Yari started dating, leaving Milan to choke back his feelings.
The next summer, news came that his beloved Angier had passed away in a freak accident. This news broke the Wellbelove family. Yari was silent, locked in a hellscape of her mind. Milan, the opposite. He flew into a rage, destroying everything until all that was left was his need to cry, alone. School became even worse, with Yari teetering on the edge, Echo hanging out with Syd Barrett and probably partaking in drugs. His own self was trapped in perpetual nightmare, until he learned to make the Dreamless Sleep Potion. He started off slow, but quickly grew addicted. Using that to sleep, and Wide-Eye Potions to keep himself awake enough to function.
All was well enough until Milan messed up which potion he'd grabbed, sending himself unconscious and tumbling down three flights of stairs. When next he awoke, he was in the hospital, covered in bruises and cuts, as well as a broken jaw, three broken ribs, and a shattered femur. Robin Winchester kept him company, and quickly became a friend. As he stayed there for weeks, he befriended Galen Saylor as well, somehow finding it easier to talk to people he barely knew than his own family. He was released from the Hospital Wing just in time for exams, which he did well on, despite his lack of classes. That summer, he vowed to get clean, and he followed through.
Milan's seventh year was nonstop chaos. It started the second he got a letter saying he was chosen as Head Boy, to pair with Aria League. He wanted to leave his mark, so as soon as the year started up, he began planning. Working with Aria, they decided on a school carnival to showcase the clubs and quidditch teams, all while trying to raise funds. They split up the work and began to work with the club and team captains. He also met up with Vera Saylor to talk fashion, then had the brilliant idea for the two to start a shop. It took a lot of convincing, but finally, Vera agreed.
The first quidditch game of his final year served to prove Milan needed more practice, after he missed several shots. Ravenclaw still won, but only because Syd spotted the snitch. That afternoon, Milan tortured himself doing a painfully extensive workout to try and "prove" himself... to himself. It only stopped after he mistimed a jump and dislocated three ribs. Luckily for him, Galen Saylor heard his pained cries and came to the rescue. After a talk and offer to practice together in the future, Milan relaxed enough to be healed and fix himself up. Unfortunately, due to the displacement, he had to start carefully binding his ribs to keep them in place... which naturally meant corsets, of course.
Since the first game ended with Linsey asking him to lunch, Milan agreed, thinking it was going to be a friendly thing. When she found out he was vegan, she seemed determined to figure out how to cook for him, and Milan realized she had different ideas about their lunch. Haha yikes. He pushed himself to study and practice over the next few weeks, watching as the weather quickly grew sour. The second game for Ravenclaw was set in a terrible snowstorm, and Milan was pretty sure it wouldn't go well. A bludger to shatter his ribs, and he was certain it'd be bad. A second bludger hit, shattering the leg he'd broken the year prior. But Milan was determined. He made a tourniquet from his scarf, then managed to net three goals while barely able to see. Echo had caught the snitch, and Milan was super proud... for about three seconds, then the adrenaline crash caused him to pass out, luckily to be saved by Daphne.
After a three-week stint in the Hospital Wing (over Christmas holidays, at that!) where Linsey stayed behind to help, Milan was determined to need no more hospital time... though it was great for practicing Healing magic while shuffling beside Healer Kavanagh in a full leg brace. After he was released, Milan grabbed some cookies and went to open up the Daily Dragon for the second semester. After an argument with Syd about oatmeal raisin cookies, Milan felt a familiar (and un-fun) sensation start up. Someone had brought peanuts to the club. He barely managed to pull out his EpiPen in time, before passing out in anaphylaxis. Lucky him, Uriel Payne knew how to work the pen, enough to keep Milan alive while Jules Delacroix ran off to grab Healer Kavanagh. She gave him another dose of Epi, and Milan started to come to, all while everyone argued over who had brought peanuts. While Marni was trying to keep the peace, Milan was pulling his shirt open, sending buttons scattering as he laid on the cold floor to combat his overheating.
Another 3-day stay in the Hospital Wing, and Milan heard every rumor that Syd had purposely caused the reaction. After he was released, Milan went to confront his sister's weird boyfriend. The two got in a spat, which was only stopped when Echo dropped the bombshell that she was pregnant. That was a pretty instant way to stop the fight. Milan begrudgingly played nice with Syd, trying to make Echo happy. Later that day, Milan ran into Taylor, and the two... well, had a little hookup. Apparently Echo had been on to something (if only she'd chosen a less horrible partner). Milan and Taylor agreed to continue being Friends With Benefits, provided no one else found out.
The final game of the year was Ravenclaw and Gryffindor. All they needed to do was catch the snitch. Milan gave his best pep-talk, and most seemed receptive to it. Other than Syd, who seemingly ignored Milan... AND THEN CALLED HIM BRUV. They ended up losing, as Skyla Byrnes narrowly caught the snitch. That meant Slytherin had won. Which... Milan couldn't deny pride at, since it was due largely to Echo. (Plus another team winning meant Milan didn't have to get a tattoo!) After the game, Milan and Echo finally had time to talk, and she revealed she wasn't pregnant after all. It was a confusing time, but Milan always had his sisters' backs. No matter what. Echo then had to tell Syd, who immediately broke up with her, leaving Milan to console his sister.
A couple weeks later and it was time for the Carnival that he and Aria (along with all the other prefects and club captains) had worked so hard to produce. Luckily, it ended up a massive success. Everyone seemed pleased as pudding. The next week was spent with Milan doing all his NEWT exams, and proving himself skilled. After that... it was time to graduate. It was a weird sensation to finally be done, but adult life had so many things in store.

The next day, he started moving into the flat above the shop, while he and Vera, along with Linsey, worked on making enough clothes to officially launch their shop. They reached out to a ton of other shops to gather a list of wedding-friendly helpers, then were able to officially launch the shop in a Grand Opening Ceremony on August 20, 2060.

xxxBACKSTORYxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx EARLY CHILDHOOD July 26th, 2042: Not born yet → Late at night, it was decided, these kids were coming out. Three legends were born, first - Harlynn, second - Echo, third - Milan. However, a fourth legend was destined. But she would wait, she would linger inside her mother’s womb, she would be the most special, the most legendary.
July 27th, 2042: 12:02 AM → Born was Yaretzi Rose Wellbelove, the youngest of the Wellbelove quadruplets. Except she would not share her birthday with her siblings, no she was more special than that. While she was the youngest born, she did have 2 siblings that looked identical to her, and one that looked... almost similar if not for the fact that he was a boy.
Fall 2047 through Summer 2053: Primary School → There was only one place that was elegant enough for the Wellbelove kids to go, only one place that their school uniform wouldn’t clash with their hair color and complexion. Of course, when they started this wasn’t their concern, but it was quickly made known that they approved of the school uniforms. Of course, after they had learned the basics of primary school and had aged into the well beings they were, the quadruplets quickly realized that school was a competition and they all wanted to be at the top of their class. Yari was fine with that, some friendly competition was always nice, and if they ever announced the top 5 kids of the school, it would have to be the majority of Wellbeloves. → Slowly each kid began showing signs of magic. Each time though, they also managed to blame it on the nanny and get them fired. Yari’s first sign of accidental magic was a strange one. The nanny came in with the assigned black clothes, but honestly they looked hideous. Yari threw a fit where she told the Nanny to change clothes, wear gray or white, the nanny wouldn’t have it. Yari glared harder, the nanny’s clothes turned bright blue, as did all the clothes in the closet. THat was also when Mama came in and saw the Nanny in a not-approved clothing... and all the clothes sabotaged... Yari grinned, goodbye Nanny 19. → Once they had started showing signs of magic though, their mother was quick to put them in private tutoring on the weekends, or rather, Mama started tutoring them herself. They learned all sorts of Magic Theory, they were going to be well prepared by time they went to Hogwarts, which would be excellent at remaining at the top of their class. It had been a great time when they found they were all magical, their Muggleborn mother was thrilled. Mama’s genes for wizardry were so strong that she had passed them into all four of her children. → Yari wanted to be the accountant for the family business. Right now it was very basic things, simple math with checking that the costs were coming out of the accounts properly, and that people were paying Mama’s business. She was bad at it, she often forgot a simple step when subtracting or adding, or forgot to multiply the quantities. Of course, Echo was always there to point out her flaws, perfect Echo. However, this just pushed Yari to be more successful, she would push past Echo and would become the accountant even if she had to fight for it. → There was a pet frog in their private school. Yaretzi was 10. She needed that frog. She knew the next school year she would be leaving the private school and be going to Hogwarts... So she stole the frog, whose name was now Paul. She would care for Paul better than any other kid would have. Paul was just the perfect frog with the unique purple lining on his back... he may have been poisonous but he was just so perfect.
