However he has begun to pull back on rampant flirting simply because he's realized that such things can make people very uncomfortable so he's much more discerning for such things. Otherwise Jesse is a very relaxed man who doesn't let things bother him for the most part. He was once very insecure about his ability to make real friends due to his peculiarity, however he has since gained true confidence in himself and has really blossomed quite a bit. That being said he's not very harsh and critical of himself due in part because he still deals with some self loathing issues and will beat himself up over perceived mistakes he makes.

Jesse has had his powers seemingly since the day he was born. His parents and blood family were immune to his pheromones that he gave off as an infant due to their shared blood. However everyone else around Jesse put the boy on a pedestal and treated him like he could do no wrong. His parents and family had a hard time keeping Jesse grounded since everybody seemed to be falling all over him and the boy abused this in his youth to get what he wanted. Eventually a Hero had come into his life when he was still young and helped to teach Jesse how to control and turn his power on and off so that it wasn't always just on. This had opened up his eyes as he now realized that a lot of the "friends" he had were only his friends because of his powers and this broke his heart. From then on Jesse only ever made friends the old fashioned way once he realized that his powers only gave the illusion of close bonds with other people. That being said however once he got into his teen years Jesse would take up basketball and get himself into shape and began to really go with his powers theme of romance and desire. Finally he decided that he wanted to honor the hero who helped him control his powers and taught him so much about being a good person and decided that despite his non combative powers Jesse would still work hard to become a real hero.
After his first year at Levane he really ended up taking a step back and looked at himself hard in the mirror. His hair, his clothing, his attitude, he had been trying to set himself apart so hard that Jesse really felt like he ostracized himself somewhat from his peers. Jesse then stopped and stared at his "Hero costume" and felt sick, there he was seventeen (at the time) and he was sexualizing himself and flaunting himself around to adults. Suddenly he felt utterly ill as he thought back to what all the people he ever met thought about him and quickly ended up shredding his so called "costume" and decided to turn over a new leaf for himself. He stopped dyeing his hair wild, attention seeking colors, realizing he looked amazing with his natural blonde hair. He then chose a new hero outfit and fell in love with his new look and eventually his newfound confidence also gave him the last bit of control over his peculiarity that he had lacked for so long. Now he no longer lost control over his power which elated Jesse, this was going to be his year! He was going to go back to Levane with a bang! He had newfound confidence and control over his peculiarity, to supplement his knowledge Jesse had eventually undergone training and was a certified paramedic. While he had no healing peculiarity he was now very well trained in medical situations and could perform life saving tasks himself if nobody else was present to do so.

Allure: On command Jesse can release a special pheromone that will cause people he chooses to fall completely in love with him. How the love is interpreted is heavily dependent on the persons personality and it can range from a warm, fluffy, puppy love to the extreme end with single minded obsession and everything in between. He can also spread this to multiple people but the effects are weaker and weaker depending on how many people are effected by it. He has since found that the effects of his "Allure" can have a lasting effect on the persons brain and while they are no longer in love he noticed that certain things will linger for an extended period of time. And while he hasn't had the ability to test it he has theorized that the lingering effects of his power could be more intense on those who are much less mentally stable.
