Praedaeth, Kleoth said gently, reaching out to her green daughter. Would you and Yours mind terribly if I came to say hello? Her little ones were so busy now, and she wouldn't dare dream of interfering with their lessons. No, Orioth had them well in hand, and no doubt they were flourishing.
"We should go say hello soon." Phryana murmured, referring to the Weyrlingmaster and her dragon, and Kleoth rumbled with agreement. Perhaps after visiting with some of her children, they could stop by... but getting to know the new riders of the Weyr was her first priority. "If they want to," Phryana reminded her.
Of course. But why would they not? Kleoth sounded politely puzzled.

We're coming out. Praedaeth's chipper (for her) voice replied to her mother's summons, and soon the portly little green was trotting out and about, followed by a rider who looked to be the same amount of thrilled. Which, actually, was quite. Oreune liked Kleoth after all, and well she was admittedly more or less ambivalent to Phyrana, but if Kleoth chose her as a lifemate then clearly there was no issue there. Plus Oreune had wanted to see Kleoth anyway, to say thank you for clutching Praedaeth, so this worked out. Where are you, Mama? In the Weyrbowl?

Yes, my love. We can meet you shortly. She informed her rider as much, but was too eager to wait and set off anyway. Even before laying her eggs, she had been fond of Oreune, and to have her Impress to one of her children was a delight she was unable to put into words. Indeed, the large queen easily spotted her small daughter and rider, approaching them both with rapidly whirling eyes of purple and blue.
My sweets. She greeted them both affectionately, not hesitating to gently nudge the green dragonet, then the young woman. You look well. How have you been?
Phryana had set off at a brisk pace, but a dragon's stride made hers laughably small. Still, she could see Kleoth lowering her head in the distance, and didn't hesitate to approach. Almost there.
