Matatabi is now available for applications! The mod team would like to thank Morse for roleplaying with Matatabi for three years and we are looking forward to who carries the demon's story forward next.

Decisions on who gets a Bijuu are determined by the moderator team based on the positive guild impact and activity of the member. We will closely consider all applications based on those criteria. You may apply for Matatabi. Matatabi is skilled with fire, genjutsu, and taijutsu. She teaches her jinchuuriki her unique taijutsu style called Reihi (霊火, Spirit Fire) which uses spiritual blue flames with hypnotic qualities to enhance agile physical strikes.

How would the character's build complement the demon's abilities? Unki is a mostly well-rounded character who possess mid-long range Scorch abilities and has a physical style set consisting of mostly short range various Taijutsu and bukijutsu styles. She does have Fire and Wind and I enjoy implementing genjutsu on this character.

If you are chosen, would you like a sealing event or just to have it added to your profile with a description of the event in your bio? Knowing me, I can completely pass on a sealing event. We'd just pop it on her profile. I can just write something up myself so nobody is required to fiddle around with me.
How active are you? I'm Bun. I am here during the slow times.
If chosen, how active will you be with your jinchuuriki? Same ol' same old. If I have any hiccups I'd let you all know and give back the cat when the going gets tough.
What contributions will your jinchuuriki make to advancing the guild's activity and plot? . If I had Matatabi then I could reach out to other Jinchuriki and give some plot back to Unki. For instance, it would be cool to pack in some surprises with the upcoming want to just BACKSTAB Satoshi's false sense of security. Even if for just a little while.
What have you done to earn this demon? Golly, I just can't recall all I've done! I've for sure been able to help kick some fire back in the puppets systems, residency system is in the works, I love feedback on what members want, and my goals have been to give attention to all my leafies and cloudies (but that last one probably shouldn't count, haha!). I have kept the discord alive during the quiet times! Hahaa! I can guarantee that I won't be holding onto the big cat forever but I'd like to give her a go for a bit. I know she's a hot button. No hard feelings if you cats find a better candidate.

How would the character's build complement the demon's abilities? Since Keiji is already a Jack Specialist, with an emphasis on fire, melee, and competent genjutsu skills. This would only further enhance his ability to lay waste to those who would get in the way of a revolution in Zaishin, and an eventual show-down for a change in leadership and way things work.
If you are chosen, would you like a sealing event or just to have it added to your profile with a description of the event in your bio? Either would work. As active as Zaishin is currently, it might be better to off-screen it or at least a mission in MiT.
How active are you? Very, I'm on almost every day.
If chosen, how active will you be with your jinchuuriki? I'm already very active with Keiji and consider him to be my main character.
What contributions will your jinchuuriki make to advancing the guild's activity and plot? Since Zaishin has no Jinchuuriki, he would be acting as a balancing power and a rise to the embers of a dying Zaishin City. Lead it as it's Shogun? Absolutely not, but assist Musunde as a lieutenant able to keep things like ranks and missions flowing out of the city to possibly revitalize the Village.
What have you done to earn this demon? I'm very active, and I like to form RP plotlines with other members. I do my best to be agreeable, and I have a desire to make Zaishin active and give it some plot and story. While I haven't contributed as much as a mod, I try my best with my limited capabilities.

How would the character's build complement the demon's abilities? If added to Somir, there's potential to mix the Enjo flame types with Matatabi's flames, or use Matatabi's proficiency with Genjutsu to enhance some of the Enjo capabilities.

How active are you? I'm on Gaia every day. Somir is tied up in a mission currently, one of my other characters is in an MIT scenario for a group project (also in stasis at the moment, RPing with him narratively waiting for his approval), and the other two are also waiting for an approval of some sort.
If chosen, how active will you be with your jinchuuriki? I'd like to be fairly active. I have plans for him, but those are on pause until after the mission he is on is completed.
What contributions will your jinchuuriki make to advancing the guild's activity and plot? I'm not sure how his contributions will enhance the activity, but I've set up his backstory in a way that he's connected to Amegakure via sharing the last name of a rogue shinobi from there, and have brought up the idea of having a bit of a kidnapping plot. He also has ties to Zaishin and is a leaf shinobi, so there's a lot of potential plots there.
What have you done to earn this demon? Still new, so I haven't really been able to do much yet as far as earning it, but I'm constantly thinking of new plots for characters and developing story lines that I'd like to see fulfilled. I have intentions for forming narrative bonds with many other characters whenever I have the chance to do so. Discussions need to be had first in order to pick times and places, as well as deciding what the end goal of those bonds would be.

How would the character's build complement the demon's abilities? I would make a character who isn’t designed to explicitly Synergize with Matatabi, my idea is an Inuzuku, Junsei-full Inuzuka implant Pa thingy. They will likely be a performer/tamer (specifically chance encounter/Sinister schemer.) which has a few points that will blend. The character will be rather cat themed for obvious reason, not going NYAN or wearing fake cat ears, though will have a finicky personality, huge self importance and confidence and will lean towards an ambush/tricky combat style, that may come off as being slightly playful at times to absolutely brutal… like cats. She will commonly hide and ambush people and use the sinister schemers performance and song to be basically undetectable, without causing jamming, which makes it a great thing for methodical hit and run tactics. This would blend well with the fact that using the Nibis attacks can cause mental stress/insanity as it makes countering that malice harder. I intend the character and pet to wear bells that are explicitly designed to both catch people’s attention and make them look at her when using techniques to suffer the mentioned status affects or to even use the bells for sound trigger illusions. This shifting when using the cloaks as theoretically the character might move faster than sound, meaning using the bells to find her would become a bad idea… that’s just a general idea on how the characters theme of combat would revolve around. Her pet would be Feline and used similar tactics or tactics to compliment this strategy of leaving people on edgy with hit and run, misdirection, harassment, ambush sort of tactics, especially as the Pet can use the sinister schemers class bonuses and gets a custom song technique which could be fun. As much as the benefits are more of the indirect variety, I still see these as good benefits. Ohh yes, performers can cart Jutsu using a point their performance reaches as the point of origin, that with Matatabis projectile techniques and Gen-Jutsu whilst hiding once again is a good confusion, ambush, misdirective form of combat.

The sinister schemer is a decent instance based Genjutsu user which goes well with Matatabi affecting mostly chain and instance techs, buffing length or escape value. The character may or may not start off with fire release, the idea of gaining it through communication with Matatabi would be interesting. If junsei which isn’t set in stone then we all know how that would benefit the character, making potential fragility covered by healing. I would likely give the character lasting hypnosis as the third class when that point came to directly buff Genjutsu, the character has non red for a more physical class as six stat cap is pretty good and demon cloak forms well bypass the norm, the six works well a fit but not fully brutal physical build.

Sealing event could be interesting, though weirdish on a brand spanking new character, especially if they aren’t to know about it at first, which is something I want considering

What contributions will your jinchuuriki make to advancing the guild's activity and plot?Pfft, y’all ALWAYS ask this question and I never know what to say and usually make Jokes. I’d want to play them with some of the other lower ranked characters so they could progress with others and instigate plot in doing so. Due to their future confidence and predatory cattitude, I do intend to have them make use of gladiatorial arenas, which others might just on bird with.
What have you done to earn this demon? even if I’m slow I do tend to do things aha, willingness to interact and be apart of other peoples plots is something I would say earns a bit of brownie points, ummmmmmm….. offering suggestions and helping bun a bit with the residency stuff that’s being worked on. I don’t harass y’all mods too much :p. I think I have a few characters actually integrating into a little of the guilds major plots. Despite my wavering activity at times I was a fully active and supportive person in the twins founding, have added a little though Ozy hasn’t actually posted the arena yet :p That’s about it for the most part!

How would the character's build complement the demon's abilities? The character I had in mind would be gen/tai build, specifically a Master of Deception + Brawler combination. They wouldn't have a bloodline but, I have plans for them to have a Sakkakugan implant, giving their genjutsu extra potency. With a focus on speed and agility over strength and endurance, their combat style would combine distorting opponents senses through genjutsu and utilizing katon along with hit and run tactics to slowly whittle down their defenses. Thematically, I would call him the Scaredy Cat shinobi.

How active are you? I would say I'm fairly active, though I certainly have room for improvement. I'm really hoping to use the upcoming janist arc to get my characters involved in the main storyline and form more meaningful connections with others, including plans I have for this character.

As they would be starting from the bottom, I'd like to find a mentor figure for them to study under and possibly even put together a squad for them to do missions along side. I also have plans for an MiT that would introduce an npc antagonist that could be utilized as a miniboss of sorts for multiple missions.
What have you done to earn this demon? I don't know if I've really done anything grand to earn this demon but I help out wherever I can with small matters and at the very least, I've been a loyal member of the guild for three years.

How would the character's build complement the demon's abilities? Well, the character I have in mind wouldn't really use much of the Taijutsu side to be honest, but She'd either be Ninjutsu/Ninjutsu or Ninjutsu/Genjutsu. In either case, I'd be taking the glass release as my main bloodline and a few others that use fire as implants. The genjutsu side would be fun to play with, since the Hari Clan can give Genjutsu a bonus. The hit and run tactics... yeah, they'd be a lot of fun.

How active are you? Honestly I've only been here for a week or two. I'd like to be pretty active though. I have one character right now and plan on making two more and am trying to get my wife into this as well since I have a lot of fun with it. I was pretty active on other guilds years ago and now that I'm back would like to stay here for as long as possible.
If chosen, how active will you be with your jinchuuriki? Pretty active I'd say! Hitoshi will always be my main character and honestly I'd love to pick Matatabi for him, but he's a squid who doesn't have access to fire jutsu so it doesn't really fit. I want him to be a sage anyways.
What contributions will your jinchuuriki make to advancing the guild's activity and plot? Well, since I just got here I don't know much about the current plot yet. Since I plan to be active and think it would be pretty lame if I made a character who has a bijuu NOt a proactive character then I'd try to advance things as much as I can.
What have you done to earn this demon? Uh... I'll be honest I just got here. That sounds kind of lame, but it's true. I don't expect to get Matatabi because of how new I am here, and I'm fine with that. I just want people to know that I'm happy to be here and want to contribute. I've been on and off Gaia for half of my life (not an exaggeration) and the fact that there's a Naruto guild still living here is just incredible to me.

Would you make a new RPC for the Bijuu or add it to a currently existing character? Existing character, Masanori Hatake of Kumoito.
How would the character's build complement the demon's abilities? Actually, the thing is, Masanori and Matatabi don't compliment each other much outside of using taijutsu. It is less about the "build" and more about the "bond" the two can create, as Masanori is somewhat misguided and confused in his current state of mind. I feel that this demon can help lend a hand in keeping Masanori from losing his head once the proper bond is made. Naturally, this will start of rocky, as Masanori is not much of a cat person to begin with, and is quite difficult to communicate with. After crossing this hurdle, however long that may take, learning to work with one another will be priority, similarly to working alongside the animals he tames.

How active are you? I've been on everyday since I joined, and have been as active as a can, even with the slower pace that has been present as of late.
If chosen, how active will you be with your jinchuuriki? Masanori is my main character, one that I have a few plots for and one alternative path should certain events take place along the way.
What contributions will your jinchuuriki make to advancing the guild's activity and plot? Masanori has, essentially been "living under a rock" most of his life. Learning about what is sealed inside of him, and discovering that there are more out there will likely pique his interest. Forming a similar bond between the jinchuriki and their hosts as a whole could be a goal I could see him leaning towards, that's just the nature of the tamer in him. Alternatively, should plot take him down a different path, I have another idea I'd like to discuss.
What have you done to earn this demon? I'm an active member of the guild. I'm not a mod, nor super creative to form in-depth, guild or village-wide plots, but a majority of the guild's population is that of people like me: role players wanting to enjoy and contribute what they can to this naruto experience that the rest of you provide for us.

I'm thinking of adding Matatabi to Himitsu.

How would the character's build complement the demon's abilities?
Himitsu is being built as an agile, quieter character that mixes his ninjutsu and bukijutsu. His genjutsu is primarily used to augment his fighting style, as opposed to its own focus. I think that being able to mix Matatabi's fire and genjutsu abilities into his own would work well. His elementalist discipline gives him a wide array of jutsu to physically impact the world while warping the enemy's perception with Matatabi's help.

How active are you?
I'm regularly engaged in roleplay with other RPCs, and I don't think I frequently leave anyone waiting more than a few days for a response. If I will be gone for a few extra days, I always try to let people know. I'm on-site almost daily to check messages and notifications, and I'm in the discord all the time as well!

If chosen, how active will you be with your jinchuuriki?
Very! I'd like to have Himitsu in the JUEI with Matatabi, as well as when he begins his "Kishishu" plot with a few other RPCs!

What contributions will your jinchuuriki make to advancing the guild's activity and plot?
Should Himitsu get into JUEI at some point, I think that could open some doors to inter-village roleplay through those missions. I also think it would be interesting to have a member of the Kishishu be a jinchuuriki. Since that group would move around internationally, it has a lot of potential for international "drama"!

What have you done to earn this demon?
I'm still learning a lot about the guild and its systems, but I've been very engaged in learning more regularly, and helping others learn and find information while they do the same. I spend a lot of time in the discord "plotting" with others, and helping them brainstorm things for other characters, events, missions, etc. I think that this has helped show my engagement with the guild as well as my desire to help facilitate and motivate future and larger plots and arcs as my character grows. I'm also working on a Bear Summons / Sage Lands but that's very much a work in progress.
