Brian covered his ears as the alarm on his SNAG went off at full volume, interrupting him from his meditation. When the alarm and flashing screen finally stopped, he picked the device up, planning to give whomever had done this a very large piece of his mind, when GRAY's voice came through. Wait, there was a Shadow Pokemon located? Sure, he'd heard of them, and that was the whole reason he'd joined Snagem, to help quell the Shadow Pokemon, but he hadn't thought he'd get an opportunity to do so this soon after joining. Even still, this was something that needed to be dealt with, and he was more than willing to help out.
So it was in Sinnoh? Hmm, that wasn't a place he'd been to very much, but he knew enough about the region mentioned to know where to look. So he decided he'd head there, and he called out to Claydoll, who was happy to transport him to Sandgem Town. Once there, he noticed Abby, Sub, and Leon were already there, and he made his way over to them. "Has there been any word from the Professor's assistant yet?" he asked.

Sub took note of the Snagems that showed up. Abby, Leon, Brian, and Deo. It was a decent amount of members, likely more than enough to handle a Shadow Pokemon like Kricketune. Turning to Brian he spoke. "None that I'm aware of. GRAY has been keeping in contact with Professor Rowan and so far nothing." He replied.
Taking out his SNAG he brought up a holographic map of Route 202, enlarged enough for everyone around him to see. "From here we'll be approaching Route 202 from the south. The northern portion connects to Jubilife City, a large population center, the exact kind of place we do not want a Shadow Pokemon to escape into. Fortunately Route 202 is surrounded on both sides by dense forest which lead to little in the ways of human settlements, though he certainly don't want to lose the Shadow Pokemon in there. I believe our best bet will be to split up." With that said Claydol appeared beside him.
"Abby and Brian, the two of you will teleport into Jubilife and enter Route 202 from the north. The rest of us will enter from this side. We'll stay in touch with each other via our SNAGs and attempt to surround the Kricketune, provided we spot it. Be on alert. If you have a purified Pokemon use that first. If you don't use something that can attack at range or is difficult to hit, like a Psychic or Ghost, to lessen the chance of infection. If you spot the Kricketune inform each other immediately. One good thing is Kricketune can't stay quiet, shouldn't be long before it calls its self out." He explained, turning off the map and pocketing his SNAG.
"If there are no questions...let's head out." If there were indeed no questions Sub would take out his hoverboard, jump on, and ride off towards Route 202.

Monique had barely been fitted with a SNAG device before it blared an alert. She winced at how loud it was. Is this its normal volume? I sure hope not...
Shadow Pokémon? Hmm. Where she came from, that had been a long-gone phenomenon, consigned to the living memory of only a few, but it made sense that 50 years in the past, it was still an issue.
She took Marowak and followed the others to Claydol, who teleported her straight to Sandgem Town in Sinnoh. The first thing that struck her was how cold it was. Having lived in a place where the idea of weather had been forced into obsolescence—and a clime where snow was already unthinkable—the whiteness of the ground was jarring. Even through her new fur, she could feel the chill of the northerly island's air.
Monique and Marowak moved through Sandgem Town, up from the coast to its outskirts, where the others had gathered and started to make a plan. She was glad she had a Fire-type in this environment, though she was sure that she, too, was cold. She wondered if Clare felt the cold this heavily.

After going with Sub on this assignment, Deo then began to wonder to himself. Mustering up the courage, he then asked him. "Hey Sub, what is a shadow pokemon? Are they hostile or somewhat contagious? Both?"

Sol had opted to take to the fray this time around, if only to stretch his wings a bit. That, and Aden seemed intent on staying behind this time; wanted to talk to Tristen about something, apparently. To be fair, a Kricketune- shadowfied or not- probably wasn't that much of a threat.
Being late to the party, though, he opted to take the side path into Route 202 once he arrived and wasn't totally aware of the plans. But he figured there'd be more ground to cover this way. Landing in a part of the tall grass within the route to hide, he'd take out his SNAG to give a heads up to the others while keeping an eye out for them. If he knew Sub like he thought he did, being separate but closeby was probably the way to go.
"Hey, it's Sol. Sorry I'm a little late; I shouldn't be far into the route from the Sandgem side, but figured the extra set of eyes would be of use."

[Time of day: Twilight, sunset.]
With the new arrivals the plan was just slightly adjusted, though Sub had no issue making these adjustments as more hands and eyes made this much easier. Abby and Brian would be accompanied by Aile and Monique (north side group) while Clare would join the trio of Sub, Deo, and Leon (south side group). As for Sol he was fine where he was, they would meet up with him before long and the man responded as such via SNAG to let the hybrid at least know he was aware of his presence. Now with everything squared away they could all make their moves.
The north side group would find themselves standing just in front of the cement staircase that led into Jubilife City, the downward slopping gentle hill of Route 202 lying behind them. Up here it was easy to see how the pathway zigzagged downward through the grassy field. A flock of Starly watched them with curiosity from the trees nearby.
From their vantage point they would spot two young trainers battling in the middle of the route, Bidoof versus Starly, as well as a pair of Shinx running between two patches of grass. From here there really wasn't too much to see, in spite of how good of a vantage point it was. No Kricketune here...that said...what was all that chirping?
(North side group: Battle at least one [or more] wild Starly. The Starly are flying away in a panic from the south and in their panic are attacking. Defend yourselves from the panicked flock until they pass over. At some point during or at the end of your battle have at least one Kricketot appear. Make their sudden appearance somehow menacing/creepy/startling/etc. in spite of how small and harmless they appear.)
-----
The south side group would how less of a view of Route 202 as they simply found themselves standing in front of a ledge that would require more climbing than it was worth, thickets of trees, and tall grass. It was clear to them all that a newbie would be forced to walk through the tall grass to proceed, then again was that ledge really that high? Oh well, that was beside the point.
Without a second thought Sub began to proceed into the tall grass, knowing good and well what he would no doubt bump into, Pokeball in hand as he prepared for the hordes of wild Pokemon that would no doubt pounce upon them. Was that chirping he heard?
(South side group: Battle at least one [or more] wild Bidoof or Shinx. You may capture one. The Bidoof are confused and chomping down any tree or other object around them, maybe even you. The Shinx are equally confused, blinded by their own constant sparking and flashing, attacking everything around them. No matter what you battle have a Kricketot appear in some fashion. Make their sudden appearance somehow menacing/creepy/startling/etc. in spite of how small and harmless they appear.)
-----
As for Sol he was in position to hear the flapping of the panicked Starly in the north and the befuddled Bidoof felling trees and dazzled Shinx blinding themselves in the south. Things weren't right here on Route 202. Now, he too would hear the chirping, and from his location he knew it was caused not by the Starly. In fact, the chirping sounded close.
Turning around Sol would find himself being stared down by a horde of Kricketot and they did not look friendly, their gaze unsettling. [Horde battle!]
