The Pridelands Subgroup
This will be open for 2 weeks, closing August 7th.
Within the Bonelands there exist several distinct groups led by the Omama of the pride that represent different—sometimes conflicting—viewpoints. These subgroups are fluid, growing, absorbing and dissolving as the pride bends and evolves with each passing year. Most members of the Bonelands belong to one of these subgroups, deferring to the opinion of the leading Umama (or Omama) that heads each one. You can read up on the current subgroups here: Link.
A group of Pridelanders, intermixed with prideless rogue lions, has wandered close to the Boneland's borders with the guidance of a seer among them and tales told to them by Umfana, a Enda of the Bonelands that they happened to meet on their travels. They now rest between five to seven days walk from the pride's current location, but move when instructed by the seers to avoid direct confrontation, at least not yet.
How will this group be viewed?
The Pridelands subgroup will be controversial, for certain. The Bonelands are gripped by an ongoing famine and this just adds more mouths to feed. It is the belief of the Abaholi that their numbers, combined with their good health in comparison to the lions of the Bonelands, will be a much-needed and timely boon, allowing the pride a chance to rest and conserve their strength. They are seen as both a blessing and a burden, the latter to the more conservative of the pride.
Note: The group, while large, is not responsible for the ongoing famine. They currently hunt further out, off of the peninsula, further than the Bonelands' lionesses will typically travel.
Joining
Former Pridelanders that left after the stars fell, and rogues found along the way may join with them. Joining lionesses should be part of the Pridelands subgroup, but may obviously shift to another that better suits them as they adapt to the new culture. Bad blood is forgotten, pushed to the wayside in the name of survival, all lioness may join them, no matter which pride they belonged to in the past. Unfortunately, if there is too much interest, we may ask users to pare down on who joins with this specific group of former Pridelanders (and rogues) and ask that the others join at a later date. We do not want to overwhelm the Bonelands, especially right now.
Note: There is a small allowance of Ahluke that may join with them. Approximately 1 lion for every 5 lionesses will be tolerated, simply because of the sheer number gained. They must be directly related to at least one lioness that is joining with this subgroup (can be owned by someone other than yourself) or a lioness already in the pride and this relationship must be described in the 'Ahluke Relation' portion of the joining form.
Allowed: grandfather, father, uncle, parent, sibling, nephew, son, 1st cousin. | Not Allowed: 'great' relations (great uncle, great-grandfather), 2nd cousin, removed cousins, step-siblings, mates.

Subgroup Information
A recent and controversial subgroup comprised of wandering lionesses from the Pridelands and neighboring prides that began their exodus following the stars falling in the Pridelands and the chaos that gripped so many other lands. Led by visions from the seers in their midst, they came to the end of their journey at the fridges of the Bonelands. Adaptable as always, their culture is a hybridization of the Pridelands and Bonelands. They still continue to value the Circle of Life and respect the Great Kings of the Past, venerating these ancestors and seeking them out for guidance. Placing such high value on bonds; familial and friendships, the lionesses of the Pridelands subgroup offer their aid readily. Led by Umama Mahea.
Coat Colors: there is no prejudice towards unnaturally-colored individuals, they are not harassed or treated harshly.
Rogue Breeding: to these lionesses, it doesn't matter. The Circle of Life continues one way or another and it is no business of anyone who she breeds with.
Breeding Males: personal preferences will vary, but they have no strict requirements when looking for a mate.
Ehluke: the sons and brothers of the pride had no reason to not be allowed to stay in the place of their birth. They are prized, such as their daughters are.
