The cheetah stretched herself out in the sun on a rock in one of the short lived sunny breaks of the day. The warmth dried her fur and warmed her up from hunting in the rain. Never mind Fainauriel wasn't successful at hunting the past two days, but she knew she could go longer since there was plenty for her to drink.

She also knew she was wasting prime hunting time, so she eventually rolled off the rock and slunk her way toward some flatlands she knew were nearby. Maybe she'd find that gazelle herd there.

Thamani was not good at hunting game, but after living in the caves for so long, he learned how to make a net and throw it in to the water. Catching fish in a water way that moved across the flatlands. So far, he'd only caught 3 but he needed to catch more, wrap them because he was going to be leaving the area soon. He needed to be in more water. He continued to throw the net with no luck. Then sat at the bay of it- soaking wet and flopped. Watching the fish get more and more scarce. Thamani had lived his whole life in caves, and now- he was an idiot just hovering his head above water when it came to the outside world. Being aware of his surroundings was NOT second nature. Instead, he was more feminine, and weak by nature. Especially since he was always sickly. Not, during the mornings- his skin would burn so he would only catch fish in the early evenings.. Which also caused him trouble. Today was rare, he was out in the morning but the sun wasn't beating down as hard and he was quite thankful. Leaning in and lapping at the water. "I'll catch some more at night... I'm sure of it." Raising his head and yawning. His bangs matted to one side of his face, not being able to see from that side where the cheetah would have been seen from.

In the area- one gazelle, although none else around was bouncing around looking more lost than anything.. When Thamani looked up, he felt... sad for it but he didn't want to scare it so he simply watched..

"Good luck finding fish," she said, coming up behind the dripping wet leopard with a smirk. Leopards were supposed to be good hunters. The cheetah female circled him, coming around to his front and gave him a bit of a look. Already Fainauriel was very unimpressed with the way he was acting.

"Fish hide at night. Your best bet is while it's daytime." With a smirk and a wink, she slithered toward the heard of gazelle, moving confidently through the tall grasses.

Maybe she'd catch something and impress him. Het hunting record was pretty good.

His tail flicked and he rose his head, having not realized the predator. After so long out of the caves, one would think he would get used to detecting predators. His ears slicked back. "I can't go out in the daytime for too long."

Slowly he moved out of the water. But before he could greet her- she was off... Running as if she were part of the wind. At no point, at he ever seen someone run so fast. His cheeks flushed almost immediately. His paws couldn't dare take him that fast. Slowly he moved to a high point so he could see the rest of her hunt go down. She didn't even have to try... it impressed him. Were all cheetahs this fast? His eyes went soft as he lowered his body. Watching her hunt...was almost relaxing. He wanted to help but then the hunt would end way too soon. But then the gazelle was headed this way... He jumped down and nearly grew in height as he bared his fangs. The only thing he could do- before the gazelle took a leaping turn towards the cheetah.

He smiled. She deserved it. Giving her a smile before moving out of the way of view..

"Why can't you go out at night?" That seemed quite queer to her. It was quickly that her attention went back to the hunt, the gazelle took toward her and though she was already panting, the cheetah ran after it. It was only a few long, strong strides of powerful legs before she lept at the creature's flank, burying teeth and claws into the muscle. She'd gotten a kick to her stomach, sending her flying off, but he attack did the trick.

The gazelle went down and scrambled, not quite sure how to get back to it's feet after being skidded across the ground. Fainauriel rose and quickly grabbed onto the prey beast's throat, sinking her teeth in, one paw going over it's nose to help the death process. Her eyes never looked away from the beasts' though. It was like she was looking straight into it's soul.
