Origami Spellwork (Training)

Baki stood in the empty classroom with the scroll in her hand. She knew that she wanted more than this; she wanted to learn and create. She unrolled the scroll in front of her and began to push the worn ink off of the surface. She wanted to start new, fresh, and original. The ink left a light puddle on the floor and she stared into the off-white of the scroll. She relaxed and let the paper clinging to her body fall off of her, to the unknowing; she would look like she was falling apart. In all actuality, it took more concentration to hold onto and mold it to her form; she was happy that she would be able to relax…that’s when the idea hit her.

Concentrating chakra into her finger and embedding it into the scroll… she did what she was there to do… create. Pouring chakra back into the scroll caused the ink to dance and take form. She loved her origami, enough to make a jutsu solely based on it. Her mind was a flutter with the idea of the jutsu; her paper clones were her favorite jutsu but how could she make them stronger? She started to draw a seal starting with her paper in the center. Bringing her hands together: she channeled chakra to each of her palms and the paper transformed into a Kami Bushin. It stood still as Baki placed each one of her hands on either side of the clone's feet. She knew that to learn and utilize this jutsu fully, she would have to concentrate on her own spell work. Through the Academy, she learned about the chakra system and it flows. Baki knew that if she wanted to handicap her opponent that she would have to learn a way to disable it. She was not like the fabled Hyuuga or the Uchiha… she would have to be clever. This seemingly harmless clone would have to have something different.

She channeled more chakra into the scroll and her own knowledge of the chakra system manifested on the paper ‘A disruption… ‘ After a moment, she released her hands and pulled a small notebook from her back pocket ‘Clone appeared subtly normal. The normality is not off-putting. There is no visible trigger to the movements. ‘ the clone nonchalantly looked about the room. She used a single hand-sign and it began to seal the clone and the sheets of paper into the newly rewritten scroll. Scribbling down more observations; she no longer wanted to refer to her skills as jutsu… SpellCraft felt better to her.

As Baki explored the potential of fusing her chakra with paper, she noticed a piece of paper floating down from the ceiling. With the help of her chakra, she transformed it into a paper crane, which aroused her curiosity. She began making small hand gestures, and other pieces of paper in the room started to unite, forming a larger seal that glowed dimly. Baki concentrated on the growing seal, using her origami skills to guide it. The seal grew to the size of a watermelon, and Baki's tiled paper clothing was attracted to it. She placed her hands on the surface of the seal, causing the paper wall to intricately fold into a violently shaking ball the size of a watermelon.

Despite her fading chakra, Baki pressed her hands on either side of the ball, and it ceased to shake. The seal formed on her palms, and the paper ball dissolved, reassembling itself onto her body. Baki was amazed by the new shape her paper had taken and couldn't help but marvel at the remarkable power of combining chakra with her paper expertise.
