Nemona went to say something, taking in a deep breath as she prepared for an entire passionate speech about battles and why Tristan should partake in one with her immediately, that was until a certain pink hammer gremlin spoke up and interrupted her attempt to pontificate. Nemona would look to Leslie and give a comical scowl, discontent not only with being interrupted but also with Leslie's insinuation that she was picking on Tristen. "I just wanted to ask him to battle because it sounds like he's really talented, didn't know that was picking." The girl huffed but then realized something about what Leslie said and her eyes lit up again. "Team? Other team members? You mean there are more talented Pokemon trainers like Tristen!?" She asked, now leaning in close to Leslie, dismissing her earlier feelings about Leslie.

Penny on the other hand decided any further emotional investment in this conversation wasn't worth it and slouched in her desk chair with a sigh. "I take it that's a friend of yours? She seems pretty protective of her. Nemona means no harm though, she is just incredibly passionate about Pokemon battles. I guess that passion is what allowed her to rise to the Champion rank...even if that passion does get a little annoying for those around her...ugh. Either way, you may want to save your friend from Nemona, I don't have the energy to pull her in, not this early."

With Leslie showing up made Tristen's heart sink to his stomach. After a day without having to deal with Snagems in his endeavors for academic advancement and actually trying to see what school life is all about without the insanity that was Snagem and all that came with it, he for all intents forgot there was still the chance that he would end up in the same class as with one of them. And worse still, he ended up with perhaps the worst possible one. Leslie has been rather antagonistic towards others when they were all in a team. Tristen still recalled how she chastized the living daylights out of Tristen when he thought he actually killed someone in a brief spat of a morality crisis, despite that someone having it coming. Despite Leslie having those more cool moments like sacrificing her Mawile state for Mega Evolution to save everyone, that becomes distinctly overshadowed when the rest of the time she carries a holier-than-thou attitude that for whatever reason no one ever calls her out on. Sadly, Tristen included.

Wait...friend? Leslie? "Uh...making a lot of assumptions there. Acquaintance is really pushing it too..." Tristen said, wincing. Worse, with her blurting out that both she and Tristen were part of a team, that only just spurred Nemona on more. Tristen didn't really mind Nemona all that much; it wasn't the first time he was bombarded with all manner of questions and at this rate, he imagined that it was going to be a little bit before things died down and everyone was used to having a Manetric hybrid roam the halls. Leave it to Leslie to up-end everything Tristen was trying to work for. Leslie was going to spill everything, if at the very least indirectly, about Tristen out of sheer pettiness or to further cement why she was better than every one. Tristen suddenly didn't want to be here now...shown by him facepalming and turning back around in his chair. He could only think this class needs to hurry up and get over with now...he honestly wasn't going to bother pulling Leslie away from Nemona...or the other way around. At this point, Leslie brought this on herself. Tristen figured.

A lot was. "Tell me... Do you know anything about this..." She whispered softly. "Team Star bunch?" Monique had no idea how long ChiChi had been around on campus, but certainly she had to know more than the sheriff did.

ChiChi stirred a bit upon receiving the question, her eyes having gone wide for a brief moment before she shifted a bit and began to look around, as if expecting someone else to show up. Perhaps when no one did she focused back on ChiChi and spoke. "I wouldn't dig too deep into that..." ChiChi began. "They aren't bad kids at heart but...just, promise me you won't go poking your nose too much. I don't know much about all that but I do know when people try to dig into their affairs they either get spooked or...just be careful."

When Deo woke up he'd find himself in his dorm room, having been carried up here at some point, something someone of his size had not experienced since childhood so he could only imagine the person, or more than likely the Pokemon, that had to carry him up to his room and place him in bed. Looking around he'd find the room dark, his clock telling him it was night time. He could just go back to sleep if he wanted, nothing was stopping him, and there wasn't any mission to partake in. However he did sleep a lot already so he probably wasn't tired anymore that said he was still very very sore. A note was left for him on the nightstand by the nurse instructing him to take it easy for the next three days, get plenty of rest, and to replace his bandages daily and apply more burn cream, said cream left for him.

Monique nodded. It was clear that the name touched a nerve. ChiChi so far had been cool and calm up until answering.

It put something of a damper on the conversation as the two finished their meals, but the awkwardness seemed reciprocal. Monique could only wonder what was going through the Lucario hybrid's head. Eventually, they bid farewell and departed to their separate rooms, where Monique used some of the energy left to start on the worksheet.

Eventually, the Zoroark hybrid decided enough was enough and, sometime past 22:30, was lights out. If her days were going to be like this one, she'd need all the sleep she could get.

Leslie would almost fall back out of her chair as the excitable girl wheeled from Tristen over to her. She may have overplayed her hand slightly but...was this genuine interest and actual acknowledgement of how good they were? This was a relatively new experience. That or she had never really noticed it as well when she'd been a lil more...self-focused. Either way, she would find herself lacking words for a moment as she stared at Nemona and took in the apparently Champion-level trainer gushing over her and Tristen. Finally finding where her voice went, Leslie would attempt to muster her bravado once again. "Y-yep. We have a bunch of talented trainers, even if we don't have as many official commendations or accolades to say that. I-in fact, I'd say that I'm one of the best with some of the more unique Pokemon I've helped to train and improve." Leslie managed to say, thoughts drifting to GRAY and her Regice as she spoke.

Turning to look towards Tristen to see his attempt to brush her off, she found a response that she was more used to. Now that she felt more comfortable responding to, especially compared to this genuine, positive affection. "I'm sorry for Tristen's lack of social skills. His only male role model has been in the team forever, but wouldn't call anyone there anything more than an acquaintance without a gun to his head." Leslie snarked, still feeling a slight tremble in her voice. While what she said might be a little mean, it was still pretty close to her honest thoughts of Blizz. He offered no sign that he especially cared for anyone beyond Freth or Tristen and, even back when she was younger, he seemed to be just a grumbling cynic whose only moment of happiness would be the single moment between his worst predictions coming true and those predictions ending them all. And she had definitely also been harsh to Tristen at times, but she felt like he should've been acting more grown up like she thought she had been at the time. She should really apologize for some of that some day.

[The next day for the members of Starfall Street Team.]

A new day would welcome the Snagems as well as a message on their SNAGs sent to them by Sub at around 7 am. The leader asked for them to meet him at Seabreeze Cafe in Mesagoza, making note that he wanted to gather away from the academy for some reason and to be there no later than 9 am.

Once the Snagems made it to Seabreeze Cafe they would find Sub sitting outside at one of the many outdoor tables with plenty of room for them all to sit, the table position furthest away from anyone else and towards the back. As they showed up Sub would invite them all to order some breakfast and he'd pay the tab. Wait, Sub was paying? Something was definitely wrong if Sub not only wanted to pay for their meal but also had the extra funds.

Amber slept a bit fitfully that night, the burned area on her back stinging when she would turn and accidentally lay on it in her sleep. The next morning came bright and sunny, but Amber whined tiredly as the sun coming through the crack in the blinds next to her bed hit her in the eyes. She was so not ready for a new day. She groaned as she got out of bed at 7 AM, much too early in her opinion. Hearing a ding from her SNAG, she opened it to see a message from Sub, asking those involved in the Team Star operation to meet at Seabreeze Cafe. Hmm, he probably wanted to discuss where to go next.

Wincing as she got up to get ready, she gingerly pulled her nightshirt over her head and replaced it with her uniform shirt, sucking in a breath quickly as she did so. She heard someone coming up behind her, and she turned to see Bryony standing there with the tube of burn cream in her hand. "Need some help?" the younger girl asked. Amber gave a slight sigh, then nodded. Bryony was gentle as she applied the cream to the burn spot, and when she was done, Amber flinched when she felt her stick something solid on it. "Just a bandage," Bryony explained.

Amber nodded, feeling relief from the cream. When she put her uniform shirt down, the bandage prevented the cloth from rubbing against the injury, and Amber gave a slight smile. "Thanks, Bryony," she said, and the younger girl nodded. The two didn't say anything else as they finished getting ready, and Bryony headed out the door a moment later. Amber wasn't long in following, though she wasn't heading to class, but to the Cafe. Reaching the place, she noticed Sub sitting there, at a large table near the back. Sitting down across from the leader, she was surprised when he invited her to order breakfast, on his tab. "Something must be up if you're offering to pay for breakfast, Sub," she said, ordering a simple bagel and a black coffee.

Monique was standing in front of the mirror, trying to dial in her look for the day, when the message went out to meet Sub at the Seabreeze at 9. Huh, she sighed to herself. "What now?" Not having heard of the place, she looked it up and found that in Mesagoza alone there were seven locations, two of them at the base of the Academy Steps. What are they thinking? Pokémon Centers in profusion made sense, but restaurants? Was Paldea this food-crazy? Did they do that much business?

The Sheriff of New Po, donning what appeared to be a pink sundress, turned up at the first location but failed to find Sub. The other location, within sight of the first, was a bit busier, and here The Dark One waited at a lonely corner table. Amber was already there.

"Wait. You...are paying for breakfast?" That was not a Sub thing to do. The sheriff tilted her head, earrings softly dangling. "What's up? ...Though I am hungry, and those potatoes are calling to me."

Deo was restless, He was already up and about, unable to sleep after sleeping off the pain and unable to just rest. Whatever that hypno did made him sleep for the past few hours. He looked out and saw it was midnight-esque and the clock confirmed Midnight. He was already ripping his dressings off, as they were uncomfortable. He was healed for the most part, but got a shower, well a cold shower, in and was pleasantly soothed. His burns must have healed faster, but not fully healed. As a matter of fact, it still hurts. How was he to get out? He had to figure out something, and fast….. Growwwwlllllll

Of course! Deo had not eaten a bite since he got back! Given the time, the cafeteria would be closed, but he could sneak out and grab a bite at a local place! This was it, now or never. He applied some more dressings and got some heavy clothes to cover it up. He got some extra padding for his paws for silence and opened the door slowly. The dimly lit halls were just right to sneak in. But he had to make sure for complete security he was safe. Using his X-ray vision to scan for movement, he found nothing, except for a guard wandering the halls. This was concerning as the guard was walking around the exit. So he left the room slowly with the door gently closed. As he snuck to the area with the guard, passing snoring classmates and dozing pokemon. He made sure to keep quiet on the carpet flooring. As he made it to the guard, he had to think of a distraction and not a disarming. So he thought hard and then decided to wait a bit. Then he heard a voice that he did not want to hear talk to the guard. Though muffled, he knew it was the nurse.

That plan backfired, so he had to go back to his room. Though on the way, he saw he could sidetrack to the main lobby. There he went, and the door was there. Looking around, he saw nobody. He then snuck quietly and cautiously out the door and there he let his steelix out. “Quickly and quietly, to the town.” Which the steelix nodded, and away they went. Time was 1 am when he was outside the walls and in the town. The town was quiet, but not dead. As there was the late night crowd active. He hopped off the Steelix and had it return. He was hungry, but found a restaurant. It was a 24/7 diner. He was down for anything. In the diner he went and sat down at a table. Waitress came up and saw his bandages. “You ok bud?” she said, Of which he replied “Had to save a person from a machine that blew up in their face.” She said nothing, but other than that, she took his order. The order was for 5 Cheeseburgers, 2 Waffles, and a bunch of water. He ate it all over the course of 4 hours. Which filled him up. He then paid as the morning crowd came in, and went to do some clothes shopping at the stores that were opening up. There was a cyclizar rider's outfitter and he went in. “Welcome!” said the shopkeeper, and he looked up to see Deo. “Looking for something to match the Bad-(quack) you possess?” Of which Deo nodded. When he went in, it was 5 AM, now it was 6:59 when he came out with a biker's attire, spiked coat, and a Snagem emblem on his shoulders. As he was going to pay, the shopkeeper said “That was my last in stock, not many people buy that style, 50% off” which Deo smiled and paid. Around the time he left his SNAG dinged. “Starfall: meet at Seabreeze Cafe at 9.” That was about 3 blocks away, and he walked there, albeit slowly. He then walked in and ordered a sweet tea as he then sat to wait for Sub and when he arrived, he then sat at the table with him, saying in a low voice. “Deo here, what's the plan?”

Nemona was captivated by everything Leslie had to say about the 'team' Tristen was part of, in her mind she was imaging a secretive group of elect Pokemon Trainers, all with powerful Pokemon, who work together to strengthen their Pokemon and raise up the next generation of trainers, of which Tristen and Leslie were clearly part of. The girl was well known for getting carried away by fantasy so this was just one of many instances where she got a thought in her head and ran away with it. She must know more about this powerful Pokemon trainer team and all their unique Pokemon! The battles they must have! Nemona was positively vibrating as her eyes widen to almost inhuman levels and just a bit of drool came from her open mouth.

"Okay class! Let's begin!" Ms. Tyme called out, calling into session the beginning to math class. Nemona was not immediately snapped back to reality and Ms. Tyme noted the girl still standing up and leaning over Leslie, the girl must have gotten excited by the new students, typical. "Ms. Nemona please sit down, you may discuss Pokemon battling with your new friends later." Ms. Tyme said, assuming a lot but she was not wrong in her assumptions. Finally would Nemona by snapped out of her trance and with a disgruntled moan sat back down in her seat. There was no way she was going to focus on math now that these thoughts fluttered around in her head.

"Now then for today's lesson we will be focusing on algebra. If you would take out your textbooks and turn to page..." Ms. Tyme would begin her lesson for the day, this class proving to be far more formal and traditional than the ones Tristen had previously experienced and notably lacking any Pokemon focus. They were here to learn math and nothing more.

[One hour later.]

The bell would ring signifying the end of this period, Ms. Tyme closing her own book and dismissing the class. "Remember to complete pages twenty-four and twenty-five before we meet again! Extra credit can be found on page twenty-six! If you need any help be sure to meet with your math buddy. Have a good day and see you all next time!"

As the students filed out one at a time Ms. Tyme would stop both Leslie and Tristen as they came by, having them stand off to the side. "I almost forgot, I need to assign to the two of you a math buddy. Why don't we make it simple and you two just help each-" Before Ms. Tyme could finish Nemona popped up behind Tristen and spoke.

"I'll be Tristen's math buddy!" She declared, hand stretched up into the air.

"Oh, Nemona, weren't you buddies with...oh, no, never mind they transferred to a different period, that's right..." The teacher commented, that poor kid. "I suppose if Tristen is okay with it then I am. That just leaves Leslie...oh Nacli salt I'll help you out if you need it Ms. Leslie, I have the time these days." She said, giving Leslie a smile.

Saved by the teacher, at least for now. Tristen would end up taking out his notebook and start taking notes away at the teacher’s lesson. Truth be told, Tristen could only pay half-attention to what was being taught. To say Tristen was fairly distraught over the development which transpired did not sit well with him. He was wanting to try to have a relatively normal time in a school…though the more he thought about it, he truthfully didn’t really know what ‘normal’ was, even without Snagem involved. Perhaps, minus Leslie’s blabbing all manner of things, there were probably students that were like Nemona who seems that their sole purpose in life was to battle and raise all manner of Pokémon. As Tristen tried to maintain the persona of taking notes over Ms. Tyme’s lecture on solving for variables and factoring with most common denominators, communitive and distributive properties of multiplication, and so on, Tristen couldn’t help but to take the occasional glance back at Leslie. As far as what he could figure, Leslie was here to try to put together her so-called scrap-metal hammer. Maybe she should try to find a metal-working class. Do they have those here? Seemed like everything else was…

With the class finally over, Tristen would take a note, homework was assigned to him and the others. This shouldn’t be too hard…he did something similar to this with the stuff Freth gave him at the headquarters and maybe the notes he took would be of a help. He would stash his belongings back to his pack and start to make his way out, only to be stopped by Ms. Tyme once more. A math buddy? Penny was probably already taken; he is the new student to class after all, even though he wouldn’t have minded being partners with her again in another class. Though the thought with partnering with Leslie didn’t sit well with him. On the flip side, with how Nemona volunteered so enthusiastically, especially after her introduction at the start of the class, Leslie’s blabbing about the team, and Penny’s exasperation of Nemona’s antics, it was a case of pick one’s poison. The fact that her last partner ended up going to another class this period was also a red-flag at the back of Tristen’s mind. He might end up having to look over his shoulder. A lot. “…um, I guess that’s fine.” Tristen said, looking over towards Nemona for a brief second then back at Ms. Tyme.

"Yes, I am paying for breakfast. Why does everyone seem so surprised? Can't dear leader do something nice for his underlings every once and awhile? You all wound me." Sub said in reply to the understandably suspicious reaction by his members to him actually spending money for once. This was the guy that rather put his life in danger by robbing a high security museum or bank than earn and spend his own money. Even since they went legit he still avoids the smallest of expenses which is reflected in the fact that they wouldn't be here in Paldea still if the Indigo League wasn't paying for their tuition and rooms.

"Order whatever you like, dear Monique. I hear those potatoes are something of a specialty for this place." He replied to Monique in particular. Scanning the table as he noted everyone was finally gathered he'd look to Deo and frown. "...you don't look good. I'd tell you to stay behind and get more rest but I do need you for this so...just don't die on me. Any who, the plan..." Clearing his throat he'd glancing around and once he was comfortable that no one else was close enough to hear he'd speak again.

"After delivering Mela to Clavell the director was extremely pleased with our work in taking down Schedar Squad and bringing in their leader, even more so with the convenient accident of burning down the entire base. Apparently that's being spun as a random brush fire which admittedly aren't too uncommon out in the wilds. Either way everything was wrapped up nice and neat and the public has no inkling of anything wrong at the academy just as Clavell wanted. As such he has personally given us a bit of a bonus, a respectable amount of Pokedollars we'll say, with a promise of more of that if we handle the rest of them in similar fashion. Needless to say I feel more...motivated." Sub grinned.

"So with that said after everything we learned in dealing with Schedar Squad and this new little bonus program we'll be tackling two of these squads next. With Mela's debriefing we learned the locations of Segin Squad and Navi Squad led by the Dark type specialist Giacomo and the Poison type specialist Atticus. Giacomo is a highly valued target for Clavell, no doubt one of the reasons why the director is being so generous now. According to Mela it is Giacomo who is responsible for keeping Team Star together and designing their operations, structure, plans and general rules. While he isn't the overall leader he does hold a vital role and because of that the knowledge he holds pertaining to Team Star makes him valuable." Sub began to explain, taking a sip of his tea.

"As for Atticus he appears to be the team's fashion designer, not a massively important role but there are whispers that Atticus holds a secret, one of which Clavell is interested in finding out. Apparently even as a student Clavell was suspicious of Atticus." He explained further. "Segin Squad is located in Area One of the West Province, south of the water city of Cascarrafa while Navi Squad is hidden away in the Tagtree Thicket in the East Province. The location of Navi Squad adds another point of concern for taking down Atticus as the Tagtree Thicket is a major tourism destination. So, there we have it, our next two targets. Monique, Cera and Amber will head for Segin Squad while myself, Deo, and Absinthe will take on Navi Squad."

With that said Sub stood up and wiped his mouth with a napkin and pushed his chair in. "For now enjoy our bonus, order and eat whatever you want. When you're ready take a taxi to Cascarrafa for Segin Squad and one to Tagtree Thicket for Navi Squad, just pretend you're tourists for the latter. I'll meet up with you two at Tagtree, for now I need to head to the academy and pick up someo-...thing...later." Sub would give his teammates a little wave and then turn and walk away.

[If you wish do a wrap up post here finishing breakfast and then make your post in Starfall Street arriving at your assigned destination.]

Late to the breakfast, Absinthe finally showed up holding her head. She was fortunately able to catch the last bit of Sub's speech, so she knew where to go after eating. The migraine she'd mysteriously picked up last mission hadn't waned entirely, though, so she kept to herself as she put together her meal for the morning. She made sure to eat quickly, though, so as not to be late to the next mission.

"You, wounded?" Amber snorted, a small smile playing around her lips. "Please, Sub, we all know you don't like spending money if you don't have to. Still, though, I won't complain; it's nice to be pampered a bit every now and then." She listened as Sub outlined the next phase of going after Team Star, and which squads they were targeting next. Hmm, seems like Giacomo was the one to take down to completely unravel Team Star, and she was slightly surprised when Sub assigned her to that particular group. "Anyone got any ideas about Pokemon I could capture for this?" she asked. "Half of my current team are Ghost-types, not exactly a good matchup for Dark-types, and I have no Pokemon that are strong against Dark-types."

Actually, now that she thought about it, she did like a challenge, and it seemed there was one to be had here. Still, though, better to go in fully prepared, or at least as fully as possible, before taking on Giacomo. Getting either a Fighting-type or a Fairy-type might be a good idea, as she had neither at the moment, and she knew that she would have to start diversifying her team a little more. Out of the seven she had right now, three were Ghost-type, two were Water, and one was Ice/Grass. She wasn't counting Sander right now because at the moment, the Delcatty hadn't been purified yet, and she wasn't willing to use him unless absolutely necessary. No sense in spreading the Shadow Virus.
