A Falling Out

It's a balmy Monday afternoon, school has just let out, and everything's going just fine. A group of kids are going over to the public pool - summer's almost here, and they want to get a head start on it. It's a pretty diverse group, ranging from childhood to college age.

The pool is free during the weekdays off school breaks, so none of the kids brought any money. Some of the elders brought some to get vending machine drinks and other goodies if the young'ns wanted them.

As of now, one boy is raising a march to go peek in on the girl's changing room. This character's name is Jeremy Walsh, age 15. Not much of an oddball when it comes to 15 year old boys... he's out to scope some a**, and doesn't care what he has to do. At this point, he's got two of the others behind him and willing to pull his little stunt.

The girls aren't exactly aware that he's planning this, but some of the elders (who've had to deal with this kind of tripe before) suspect something is probably afoot.

Wow. Finally updating the news!
As of page 20, a nuklear missile has been dropped near the city. The city itself has been leveled, and communications with the outside world are shakey at best, but for the most part, they don't exist.
Theater 5 is the only (part of a) structure that has survived. This is the home base of the kids, and everyone is working to make it as liveable as possible.

Are those the right terms? sweatdrop In any case, characters that are perfect in every way are no fun. Not to mention, they hog the spotlight a lot, and that just ain't cool.

Just making sure everyone's clear on this bit. Things may get a little whimsical, but catgirls, demons, faeries, and everything of that ilk is good and fictitious here in this little universe.

Personallity: A playful, upbeat boy, who can be a bit of a deadbeat. Not nessesarily any more perverted than his peers, just a bit more... active.
Appearance: Short brown hair. Is generally seen wearing khaki pants, longsleeved white shirts, and red converse sneakers.

Age: 17
Personallity: A very calm person who will generally try to answer any questions thrown at him. Tries to live life as best he can but has alot of issues and will break down if hurt by trusted people. He will allways smile and make others smile.
Appearance: Generally wears a red t-shirt under a black jacket (not leather). He wears a necklace which says dragon (for his birthyear) on it. He has dark blue trouser on, and wears the trousers losely but not so they fall of him because he hates tights clothes. Generally wears hiking boots because he is to lazy to buy new shoes. Hair style is in a style generally called the emo style, which is fringe covering one eye and half length towards his shoulders.

Personallity:A very creative student though her peers arent so acceptive of her. She tends to keep to herself and she doesnt have many friends. It isnt that she is horrible it's just that others dont understand her or they just dont want to try.
Appearance:She is fairly tall and slender. Her hair is black, shoulder length and layered. She usually wears a black, red or white ribbon in her hair. She is usually seen wearing a short, pleated, gray skirt and a black, red or white school blouse (depending on her hair ribbon). She always wears the same knee high black combat boots. She never wears make up except for black eyeliner and mascara.

Age: 14
Personallity: Fiona is an accident-prone child who, at first glance, is quite shy, though in reality she can't keep still for very long. Once you get her going, when she's comfortable, she can talk for hours. Despite this, her kindness goes beyond comparison at times, and she is quick to help when she can. Living with only her college-student brother, Raymond, she is a responsible child due to the work it takes both the children to keep the house. She can be a very busy person for that reason, but is good at planning things to have time for work, cleaning, and relationships.
Appearance: Short, curly brown hair and big, hazel eyes. Her usual apparel would be a long skirt, a t-shirt, and a vest with zipper pockets.

Personality: A quiet, shy sort of guy with many self-portrayed flaws. He feels somewhat unaccomplished in the world for his age and tends to keep to himself on the whole. He is not known to have many, if indeed any, friends save his penpal in Cairo. He is a hopeless romantic and tries to conjure up methods of finding his ideal girl in his head. Talking only when he has to, he leaves much to be desired in the way of conversation. His mysterious demeanor also leaves much to be discovered.
Appearance: He is short, around five feet, eight inches, and has an average body build. He has a rather stubby chin, pronounced cheekbones, and thick eyebrows to match his short, dark hair that he wears gelled incessantly. He walks with a sort of dejected shuffle and stares at either the ground or the sky/ceiling, depending on the day. He usually wears a worn-out pair of baggy blue-jeans, a button up shirt of sorts, and scrappy, grey, skater-type shoes. His one distinct feature is his skull-shaped birthmark that rests behind his left ear.

Personality: A loud and opinionated girl ('Young woman!') who listens to a lot of rock music (and will probably go deaf from it) and hangs around the shadier crowd. Sarcastic, caustic, and can be very hard to get along with. Or even put up with. (No, there's no Heart Of Gold behind it. She's a b***h. biggrin )
Appearance: Her hair is in the middling state between dark brown and faded black, an old dye job that never got redone, long and straight. She's tall and of an average build, green eyes...the sort of looks that indicate that she could be pretty if she wanted to be. She just doesn't. Dresses like a stereotypical rebellious teenager, lots of leather, lots of metal, lots of worn-out denim, lots of black.

Age: 15
Personallity: She's fairly shy, and tends to fade into the backround. She has many small quirks with a creative edge. She's known for a sharp wit, and an even sharper tongue when something you do doesn't fit into her moral boundaries. Speaking of moral boundaries, she has very strict ones. Unfortunately, she's also quite unaccepting of others' views, unless they're incredibly persuasive.
Appearance: She has loose, curly, dark brown hair that reaches to mid-back. She also has brown eyes which are covered by black framed glasses. She's 5"5, and is pretty slim, but has no visible trace of muscles
Other info: Her family is intact, but she has a horrible relationship with her parents.

Name: Madoline Kramer.
Gender: Female.
Age: 16.
Personality: Lazy, in a relaxed sort of way. She dislikes working hard, but when she does something, she makes sure to do it right. Madol usually is friendly towards all people, unless they tick her off or demand heaps of work. Helpful in giving advice, not very helpful with physical stuff. Loves ice-cream.
Appearance: Madol has smooth, dark brown hair that's usually up in a pony-tail. Soft grey eyes, and a pointy nose. She's tall, with a lean build and almost a lack of curves � Madol has just enough bust to be not mistaken for a guy. She usually wears comfy stuff, like her orange sweater with simple jeans and over-sized sneakers.

Name: Melanie (or Mel) Walsh. She goes by "Mel" most of the time, except when talking to adult relatives.
Gender: Female
Age: 18
Personallity: She's one of the guys, she doesn't easily make close friends with girls. Mel's very blunt and can and laugh at dirty jokes like the best of the guys. She's more the best friend type, and she's only had one boyfriend before. She isn't really interested in a relationship, moreso enjoying her last little bit of time as a kid, pulling pranks and such. She has no patience for girls who spend too much time on their appearance (perhaps why she hasn't got many good female friends). Mel is honest to a fault, sometimes being too brutal and blunt and doesn't always realise that she's said something stupid (perhaps another reason why no girl wishes to befriend her).
Appearance: Mel has chin length, honey coloured hair, she does have bangs. She's generally a bit tomboyish, picking baggier pants. Her favourite outfit is an orange t-shirt with her brown cargo pants and some bright orange flip flops. It's incredibly hard to get her out of her long pants unless the temperature really goes up. Her favourite colour is orange and usually has to wear something bright orange. If not, lime green will suffice. She has a young face, she looks 16 or so. She has a button nose and wears her orange plastic headband a lot (regardless of what it looks like). She also never, EVER wears makeup except to formal occasions.

Name: Jeeves (Real name Jarvis; no one really knows what his last name is, he's too embarrassed of it to tell)
Gender: Male
Age: 20
Personallity: He's generally the kind of guy who's everyone's best friend but they have no idea why. He's generally likeable but can't keep a secret to save his life. He's loud and obnoxious and the kind of guy who yells out embarrassing things really loud. He has a reputation, and everyone respects him. He's really self conscious though, and when people bother him he doesn't take it half as well as they take him. He also smokes, but at least tries to avoid doing it around his friends when they don't want him to.
Appearance: He's got short, dark hair and uses too much gel to comb it back for his own good. He keeps a comb handy just in case, although few people know this, and no one ever makes fun of him for it. He still has a bit of acne and always has pale skin. He loves his baggy black pants and dresses like a pothead.

Name: Nicky Rockets
Gender: Male
Age: 19
Personallity: A very quiet, shy kid who keeps to himself, for the most part. He can be very wise, and at the same time very goofy, once comfortable around someone. Sadly, he's been fighting a long time addiction with coke, but has recently gotten off of it and been clean for almost 2 months.
Appearance: His hair is large in it's size and style. It's black, long and droops down, yet at the same time poofs out a little bit, in straight, almost spikish stlye. Drooping over his eyes slightly, covering his ears and sideburns. His eyes are black with eyeshadow rings around his eyes to match. He usually wears a tight fitted long sleeve white collar'd shirt, large cuffs at the sleeves ends, a red tie beneath with the top few buttons undone. His blue denim jeans are always skin tight, ending at his feet with his blue suede creeper shoes, giving him two inches of height from the soles of the shoes. A not-so-typical glam punk who looks like he just dropped out of 1977.

Personallity: Suppose he's a goth in denial, Black clothing, Listens to Iron Maiden, wears the IM shirts, yet refuses to be called a goth
Appearance: 'bout 5 foot 11, ginger-ish hair, bluey yellow eyes. Usually seen in various Iron Maiden shirts and cargo trousers.

Personallity: A real laid back guy, it's hard sometimes to know whether or not he knows right from wrong. People often think him to be an idiot when it comes to studies, as he stayed back a year, though it was only due to a problem when transferring to his new school from Germany during sophmore (which turned into freshman) year. He loves soccer, the beach (Which he's rarely been to) and playing the guitar.
Appearance: Long dark hair right below his jaw, thick and straight, his hair is as smooth as he acts. Normally dressed up in a usual slim zip up jacket and cut up shorts with sandals.

Age: 17
Personallity: Fun loving and generaly carefree Aaron likes to spend his days outside and with friends. He loves the beach most of all and will go there as much as he can,so long as he has pepople to go with. Though outgoing he has several shadows that loom over his mind from his past that, unless moved to do so, he will not discuss with others.
Appearance: Aaron has short bleach blonde hair which he messily with some blue gel to add to his playful appearence. His eyes are light green with a deep blue color right around the pupil. His garb is always bright colors, yellows, blues,greens, yellows etc. He prefers jeans over shorts unless he is going to the beach in which case it a bathing suite all the way. Aaron's shirts all have varried designs on them, some by him and some came on the shirt. He never wears tennis-shoes and is a leading supporter of the sandle business as he has thirteen pairs of them, though he would prefer to be barefoot twenty-four-seven. Aaron is around 5'9" tall.

Personallity: Upbeat, random, and unpredictable. Cathy tends to be moody, and makes unusual and absurd sounds/gestures. Cathy goes man-hunting often.
Appearance: Dark hazel eyes with brown fleks, 5'6'', pale complexion with small patches of freckles. Long, wavey strawberry-blonde hair. Slim, and well-kept in public but secretly scruffy and unkempt.

"Come oooon, guys!" Jeremy whined, "You know you want to scope them unsheathed knockkahs. Perhaps even a grope or two. Eh? Eh? C'mooooon!"

The two who had already agreed to do the dirty deed were astride the somewhat spindly boy in red swimming trunks. Jeremy had a pretty face, but all the girls in school knew to look the other way when it came to him. 'Pervert!' They cried. 'Just a grope!' He cried.

So was the life of Jeremy Walsh.

Lying on the grassy hill Alex Rolled his eyes when he saw Jeremy whining again. "Doesnt he ever give up?" he asked jenny as she was walking past.
Ignoring Alex she walked on.
Alex chuckled and lied down and stared at the clouds. It was a nice and sunny day today, good day to relax.
He continued watching Jeremy and his friends trying for the girls. "I hope he doesnt do anything stupid" he mumbled to himself.

The calm and cheerful guy was his impression on others in school. Jeremy knew him better.

John listened to Jeremy's scheming for a while, then when it looked like it was mounting up and something might become of it, he diffused the situation with a well-placed "Man, you need to get laid."

Any of the other boys who had been following Jeremy in his escapade up to the point broke off laughing, and made their way to the pools, or the nice hill Alex was already on. Jeremy sulked for a bit, ran into the girl's lockers, caused a great ruckus, and was booted out back into the pool area. Whereupon, he got all the attention he could by snapping bikini-straps on unsuspecting girls.

Seeing the guys leaving Jeremy, Alex realised they had made fun of his obssesion again, this was all good though as he needed to get it into his head to relax.
Alex stood up and started down the hill to go and talk to Jeremy, but when seeing him cause trouble and getting kicked out of the girls locker room Alex just stood there laughing. he decided to go get changed into his swim shorts instead and headed for the boys locker room

School had just been let out and Dru was at the pool cashing in on the fact it was free to get in. She wasnt quite interested in actually swimming just yet but she brought a good book to read, Life and Times of Elizabeth Bathory. She came straight from school so she didnt have to answer to her parents about where she was going and who she was seeing. They were in total denial about her lack of friends and male interests.

Her skin was pretty pale so her parents couldnt complain about her getting some sun. She sat back against the fence and sighed, she was wearing a simply black bikini and sitting on a simple red towel. She looked over towards the ladies changeroom and sighed again heavily when she saw that Jeremy was over there trying to sneek-a-peek while the girls got changed. He is so immature, she thought to herself.

She went to school with Jeremy and he hadnt exactly changed over the years, at all. He still seemed to be the most immature boy on the planet. She couldnt complain though, it not like she knew him on a personal level. The only people that spoke to her at school were a few guys who wanted to date her, a few girls who were usually awful to her and then her cat Smooten, not literally of course.

She closed her eyes for a minute before putting her book away. Dru stood up and walked over to the edge of the pool, she took a run-up and dove into the cool water. She gasped as she came up for air. s**t, it is freezing in here, she thought stupidly.

Fiona had her notebook in her hand as she wore a towel around her bathing suit near the pool. She was wet, as was her small notebook that she continued to doodle in despite the fact the paper was drenched with chlorine-water. Her hands flew across the paper as quickly as an airplane in the sky, drawing random lines to sketch anything that came to mind. She didn't really like to swim- something people found unusual for the young, energetic girl. It was most likely due to the fact she felt awkward in a bathing suit and was nervous of never being able to get out with ease. She kept drawing, freezing as she sat, trying to dry off from accidentally falling in the pool by walking too close to the edge while looking for a spot and drawing at the same time.

"It's a nice day," She pointed out, her big eyes taking a minute to stare at the sun and milky-clouds that scattered around above. "That's a nice thing.. I'm so glad school's out!"
