Please dont post your shops in the merchant subs... advertise them there, but I've moved a bunch of dead shops to the art sub today. Your art shop is not very likely to flourish in the merchant sub; I dont think most people look there for avi art and commissioning signature art and banners.

I could be wrong... so vote accordingly in the poll and let me know. If you all want the art shops on the merchant sub, I'll move them all back!

[EDIT] I just made a sticky in the Merchant Sub-forum for the Artists to use as a place to advertise their shops. Please post banners, links or just promote your shop there, but do remember to actually place the storefront in the art subforum!

Then (most) people would know where to look...course, there's always a few people who don't notice stickies...

Oh I know but these stores have nothing going on in them. No replies, very few inquireies about prices or the like... and when i look for art I go to the art sub, personally... we'll see what the poll turns up and act accordingly. I think making the storefront in the art forum and advertising the shop in the merchant sub is a good idea, personally. get double exposure!

Yeah I'll do that right now, thanks Mara. But yes people dont look at stickies; my announcements about closing sales is a good point there!

Yes i always considered the Merchant forum for selling Items not Art.. that's why i made an Art Subforum. I agree with Hime, when i go looking for art i dont check the Merch subfourm at all.

What does this mean exactly? you think we should remove the art sub? if you are going to comment in a sticky like this, make it RELEVANT and USEFUL. Be clear and not idiotic; you see we mods dont like "Clutter" either.

An avvy art shop is both a place to showcase art as well as a shop in itself. Therefore appealing to both qualities would be best.

*hugs himeandi* thank you for moving my thread. and clearing up this issue. I didn't want to make a repeat thread in both the subforums, but didn't know which to post in. now I've gotten replies! mmmm avvie art for meeeeee.

this is a mini announcement, but I'll remove it by friday, just to be sure its been seen. This isnt the banner sticky either; theres one in the merchant sub and the art sub too, so everyone can be happy
