I started listening to this band, about a year ago, and I've noticed that alot of people either don't know who they are, or don't like them... I, personally, write alot of my music ((Guitar and Bass)) around their influence. Coheed and Cambria (Co&Ca) is a progressive rock band that started out about 3 years ago, so they are alittle bit into their music already, and have been nominated recently for best live touring band.
I thought since not many people know of them, I'd spread their good name, and their story.
The music itself, is based off of a five part story, written by the singer/lead guitarist, Claudio Sanchez. The story is about a family's struggle to bring down Heaven's fence ((not litterally heaven, but seven planets together in an alliance.)) Each part of the story, has a corresponding album. Although, only part 2, 3, and 4 have been released as of yet...
Part 4 & 5, however, are not directly about the Kilgannon family and their struggle to bring down Heaven's Fence, but instead about the supposed writer of the story ((not Claudio, but a writer of the story, inside the story.)) The writer's plunge into madness after the denial of marriage from the love of his life, began to twist his story. The only thing saving the end of the story, is the writer's vision of Ten Speed (of God's Blood and Burial.) A bicycle that helps the writer see that his twisting the story for the worse, is affecting the writer's life directly, inspiring the writer to finish the story with a happier ending, to bring some joy back into his own life.
The story is actually two comics and a graphic novel, called "The Bag On Line Adventures", but if you wish to get your hands on it, you should search for Evil Ink Comics. I personally am looking to buy the comics, since they are stopping the first comic soon.
Well, if I gave anybody the inspiration to listen to the band, I have done what I had set out to do...
Discuss this.

I must be honnest, when I heard the voice then saw the guy, I couldn't help but laugh... I was expecting a skinny little emo kid, or even a girl (cause I was listening to their music long before I ever had a clue what they looked like), but I like them, not my fav band ever or anything, but I like listening to them...

C&C is my third favorite band of all time, under Avenged Sevenfold && Pantera. I love all of their music. The depth of the lyrics is simply amazing-- especially now that all these little punk pansy bands keep writing songs about how depressed they are and that they're going to kill themselves. Get. Over. It.
In concert, they are perfection. Claudio's voice was amazing, and everything was just as it was on the CD. And my heart skipped a beat when they played my favorite C&C song, A Favor House Atlantic. But everything was awesome-- in fact, though I already had all of their CDs and liked them a lot, that's when I fully began to respect them for what they are-- a unique, amazingly talented, real band of geniuses.
And all of the stupid-a** A7X fans kept wailing for A7X throughout C&C's entire set. Pissed me off, man. Sure, A7X is the best band ever...
BUT THEY'LL COME OUT WHEN IT'S THEIR TURN. Now shut up, buy yourself a coke, and enjoy the damn set!
Ugh. That's the maddest I've ever been. And then they wonder when you cuss them out.

Coheed and Cambria are one of my favorite bands. I was introduced to them by a friend from their DVD. They're lyrics and music are awesome. And vocals kick a** too.

They are pretty cool. When I first saw them in MTV, I could not believe that is really Claudio Sanchez's singing voice

I can't stand Claudio's voice at all ... if he hit puberty or something, then maybe I'd consider listening to him. The guitar riffs and overall sound isn't bad, but the voice ... ugh. And that's sad coming from a guy who listens to a LOT of emo bands.

I love their music. I think his voice is interesting. It's unique and it's amazing that I can actually stand it. That's just how much I enjoy their music.
