I voted no, but I guess it depends. When I sleep I like complete darkness, but sometimes that complete darkness when coupled with complete silence and knowing that no one else is around (and/or hearing something unexplained!)... that can be pretty frightening.
And I also try not to watch those haunting shows right before I go to bed. I was watching one about demons in someone's house and then the power went off in my house and it FREAKED ME OUT!!! hehe

I am over 20 years old, and I will admit that I'm scared of the dark. Not all the time - just mostly when I'm alone. I get the feeling that something's going to come out of the darkness and get me, and I get an overwhelming urge to run towards a lighted area. This happens mostly when I'm outside, but sometimes inside my house too.
Funnily enough, I wasn't always scared of the dark. I don't remember being scared when I was a little kid, but I was when I was a "big kid" - about 11 years old or so. This could be because I just can't remember my early childhood that well, or because I typically fell asleep before my parents did (I kept the door to my room open, so the light from the living room could be seen from my bed).

Not really, but if I'm watching a scary movie or reading a murder/thriller I will stop doing whatever I'm doing and go online usually^^

I am too some extent. When in a 'normal' state it doesn't bother me. When watching any kind of scary movie or such, still doesn't bother me. I however, tend to hillucinate. THis will cause big issues with darkness and beign alone. The darkness itself doesn't bother me, it's what may be in the dark, that tweaks me.
