For me, it would have to be Kampfer, though primarily towards the end, where they just fumbled with it. It started rather shakily as well, albeit somewhat interesting, as I kept watching onwards to see how the story progressed...
I was glad I did come the midway point(ish) when things started to get more interesting with the main 'crush' that the protagonist had and the manipulation that spawned from his feelings for her, but come the final one or two episodes, it crashed into a wall, causing untold carnage to any interest I had in it, as well as pussifying it's own protagonist in the process.
I hesitantly say that it is in desperate need of another season because of how badly it ended, but I just know that they would end up running it the same way the first went, and that doesn't hold well for me.
If you haven't watched Kampfer, and were thinking about doing so, save yourself the trouble and don't. You'll wish you hadn't, come the last two episodes.
