A couplet game

1: Your post must be a couplet.

2: Yes, each post is only one couplet.

3: It must make sense in combination with the other posts to form a consistant poem.


I'll kick it off.

Also, if you don't know what a couplet is, it is a two-line, rhyming poem. Every post in this thread is a stanza of the long poem that is the thread.

Let's count every head!

So this isn't much fun

This is somewhat almost sad;
It's almost enough for me to get mad

but its not much fun when it is a kid

That might take all day!

True, but for a time, I can wait,
Though it will take forever at this gate

The waiting game is long and dull,
But as familar to me as being droll.
