I know completely what you mean. I entered last week, and got a lot of complaints. Mostly people are like "Just your avi doesn't belong here' and "Other people have worked hard to make their avis" Like I haven't? Yeah, it was fun to enter, I don't think I wasted my gold. I liked what my avi looked like. >.> Oh well. Can't please everyone, right? 3noddingheartheart

it seems to me that too many critics in the arena go by whether colors fit or not.
one result is tons of boring sameness, red and black, versus white and blue.
i chalk up this lack of creativity to immaturity, based on the average age of the voters.
Some of them don't even look at the discription and it ticks me off. Or they don't look at the title. stare I've had some one say that two things didn't math and yet others were saying that every thing matched fine. It seems they just want something to complain abotu. I mean they were sayignt hat blue and red don't match. I mean what the heck? I know the color wheel pretty darn well enough to know what matches and what doesn't. I didn't take art courses having my teachers telling how well I match colors so perfictly to have some dim wit say I can't match things properly. stare

A set really isn't a problem unless you enter the arena with it. Entering the avi arena with a set shows a lack of creativity to most people. As for colors not matching... some people are picky and don't understand "contrast".
