[Malis Vitterfolk]

The Lands of the WillowGlen and Vitterfolk herds

The WillowGlen territories flow down the river towards the Lake E-qua-u-na-de-li-i. While most of their claimed lands are protected, the planes areas of the river bank are open to anyone who should wander through as long as they do not mean to harm the inhabitants of the territory. Closer into the Big Oak Grove, the protections of the Vitterfolk strengthen and guests can only enter the area while accompanied by an escort. Only the most revered guests may enter in the glades of WillowGlen except for in dire need, healing, for example. All members of the Vitterfolk and WillowGlen herds are cautioned from crossing the river as that is the claimed territory of the Flock. It is not known if the harpies or the trolls came to the area first but they have an agreement to not hunt within each-other's lands.

When Malis and Imogen had the falling out and went their separate ways, the original herd split, the trolls following Malis and the others following Imogen and Dayunsi. When things were worked out, they collectively decided to keep the two herds seperate but work together towards the common goal of survoval. They live within the same boundries and will often 'foster' out to each other if a foal happens to show talent in a specific area. Malis decides things that affect the Vitterfolk while Imogen and Dayunsi make the decisions for the WillowGlen herd. When there is something that affects both herds, however, Malis, Immi and Day will come together as a council and discuss a solution.

The Vitterfolk - A family of Trolls

Leader -
Name: Malis
Duties: Leading the Vitterfolk, in charge of protecting both herds, teaching shamanism, making important decisions for the Vitterfolk.

Protectors -
Names: Sen'jin, Ysiel
Protector Duties: Protect the herd and keep the boarders clear of trouble. These are the soquili you usually meet first when crossing into the Vitterfolk and WillowGlen territories.

Shaman -
Names: Tai'jin, Ewa'kepi, Atal'rin
Duties: Help with the spiritual side of the sister herds, act as liaisons between the real and spirit worlds.

Members -
Names: Amirynth, Zandali, Vol'Tuuli, Tempest, Firewing, Daakara
Duties: Follow the rules, help out when able, take care of the younger ones.

Foals -
Names: Irlina, Saryen, Santiel
Duties: Lessons, staying out of trouble, helping the elders.

Duties: These are the soquili who have ties with the Vitterfolk but as of yet have not met any of them.

Traditions: Each foal goes on a spirit quest, or small journey to find themselves and decides what their path in life will be. Often, there is an adult close by to check on them and make sure nothing terrible happens, but the adolescent is left to their own devices. Some who have been fostered out to other herds will choose to go on their own though they are not required to. The ones who stay closest in ties to the Vitterfolk herd receive a special spirit name that only is known by Malis and the newly grown adult. It is only when they are lifemated may they share such a name, and even then it is only if they wish it.

Twice a year the WillowGlen meet up with the Vitterfolk and share stories, events, discussions and the like. Announcements are made and anyone is invited to join in with the frivolity. These usually happen in the spring when there is a growth in the number of children and the autumn when many soquili are gathering together to prepare for the winter months.

Herd/Family culture: The territories of WillowGlen encompasses a long stretch of river surrounded by lush grassland within the Easter Lands. This is open to any soquili who wishes to graze and the area is kept protected by the Vitterfolk. While Imogen, the leader of WillowGlen accepts anyone within the boundaries of her share of the lands, Malis does not. She will tolerate soquili upon the open plains around the river banks but if a soul should travel too far north into the forests, they would more than likely meet one of the trolls who patrol the boarders. After making sure any guests know to keep to themselves and making sure they have business being there, they will usually be given entry. For this reason, Malis keeps a watchful eye over the goings on within the Vitterfolk herd and is not as accepting of deviance or disrespectful behavior.

Religious Beliefs: Malis has a strong connection to the spirits. She is able to hear them speak and will often commune with them. She also teaches the youngsters in her own beliefs. For this reason the Vitterfolk primarily all believe in the spirits and the shamanistic teachings.

The Horde - A stallion's attempt at greatness

The Horde is a small group of soquili who were gathered together by Voodoo after he heard Malis was now the leader of a rather influential herd of her own. His goal is to impress her with his 'leadership skills' so that he may mate her and take his rightful place. This is something that would -never- happen but in his own dream world he is already the love of her life she just doesn't know it yet! The Horde does not have any stacked territory though their base was in the jungles to the west. Currently the small band wanders from place to place as Voodoo tries to track Malis down.

Duties: Leading the Horde and trying to impress Malis

Duties: Help out with the general duties, hunting and protecting the herd as a whole.

The village of Yojamba is one of many small villages/herds that are scattered within the jungles of the South Americas. There are different breeds of Trolls (Mind has a cerynei-troll while all of mine are regs) and I'm counting them as like the different tribes in WoW. Malis is specifically a Zandalar troll in WoW which were the original trolls before the Gurubashi and the Amani evolved from them (Another reason why mine are traditionally regulars)

Culturally, they are similar to the WoW trolls. They are a warrior-based race with a strong tie to the spirit realms. They are a matriarchy though many villages are ran by a joint male and female or a tribe of elders. Spiritual leaders are just as important as war-time leaders. The trolls are naturally territorial so there is often little scuffles between the nearby villages but any mini-battles are fought with honor and respect, there are enough dangers within the jungles to not have unnecessary deaths.

Each foal goes on a spirit quest, or small journey to find themselves and decides what their path in life will be. Often, there is an adult close by to check on them and make sure nothing terrible happens, but the adolescent is left to their own devices. Often villages will foster out to different villages so that there is no inbreeding of families as they can get rather large. Trolls traditionally mate for life though there is sometimes exceptions to the rule though they are looked down upon by some elders. While it is common for adults to spend their whole lives specializing in a certain path there are a few who become more of a 'jack-of-all-trades' and they are usually the ones who will travel from village to village spreading information and announcements.

WillowGlen - A herd of healing

Leaders -
Name: Imogen and Dayunsi
Duties: To make the decisions, be the ambassador to other herds, keep the place organized, oversee disagreements.

Guardians -
Names: Sen'jin, Ysiel (the Trolls primarily)
Duties: Protection of the herd, patrol the borders.

Healers -
Names: Nidawi, Xylia Órfhlaith
Duties: Heal and take care of the herd, gather herbs, prepare salves.

Members -
Names: Cadance, Bethari, Mairéad, Lyrica, Keridwynn, Suiseiseki, Rasui, Jonquil, Hyacinth, Pippin, Westly

Duties: These soquili have done the WillowGlen herd a great boon and thus are given free access between the boundaries.

Family dynamics: As they are a sister herd to the Vitterfolk and Day often holds classes on how to recognize useful herbs, they often foster out children depending on the inclination or skill of the foal. The Vitterfolk are more the protectors of the herd territories while WillowGlen is more the 'family' orientated, taking in others who need shelter or a family to belong to. Almost anyone is accepted into the fold (Including a certain 'reformed' skinwalker and his mate on occasion) Not all members are there all the time, while others pass through and are not members. There is an underlying current that all soquili are connected in some way, either in spirit or through blood. This is why respect and honor is something that is held in high regard. There are a few soquili who believe in other things but they are not ostracized for it, rather encouraged as it brings diversity with them.

The IceClaw Clan - A coven of villains

Members -
Names: Solemn, I'mani, *Nekali, *Crystaea
Purpose: To eradicate the Vitterfolk from the lands then further to destroy all other life.

*Note: Nekali and Crystaea are not within the Clan yet.

For any other plots or ideas please see my plot thread or PM me. This will be for co-horts as well as victims that Solemn or I'mani may meet. I have a few plots where I may need people to fill in holes as well as others where the skinwalker in question can add to another's plots while 'growing' their own. As long as it will fit within the timeline I have for my plots I am pretty much open to anything except death. I already have the possible demise worked out if Solemn or I'mani should loose the war.

The Wanderers - The ones who don't quite fit

Purpose: These soquili can be found pretty much anywhere among the Kawani lands or oceans. They are not really connected to the two main herds.

Rynith the Healer - The Two-legger who lives there

Name: Rynith
Gender: Male
Likes: Hunting, quiet, healing
Dislikes: Being disturbed, large crowds, unnecessary violence
Physical apperance: Rynith is medium hight at 5'6 but his demenior can seem to add an inch or two depending. While his has the normal dark skin of the natives his eyes are bright green and his hair is a golden brown, almost reddish. He prefers to wear muted colours such as browns and tans with exception to his bandanna and belt which were given to him when he left his tribe for greener pastures.
Personality: While very quiet and reserve, Rynith is one who get's along with animals better then other humans. He is a hunter by trade and is adept at tracking down most animals. Being out in the wilderness has taught him basic herbology and he is a rather proficiant healer. Rynith does not like useless wasting of materials and only takes what he needs at the time. He will even use the tougher parts of the game he hunts for other projects such as baskets or tools.
History: Rynith was born from an Irish mother who had followed some of the white traders in their ships to take care of the men. His father was an indian brave who had taken her in after the trader's village succumbed to fever. With his dark skin from his father and green eyes and lighter hair from his mother he prefered to stay by himself rather than deal with the stares he recieved from his looks and so when he became of age he bid farewell to his parents and decided to take to the horizon.
