It depends on what you mean by 'defining a soul', really.
The question that should be asked first is 'what is a soul?'
As to that, I have absolutely no clue.
What one can describe in just so many words is a person's personality or attitude, unless this person is unusually complex and/or deep.
But, you know, if you ask for an example of such a description of someone, I don't think I could give you one. Other, more capable and intellectual people probably can.
