I have put together a hopefully easy-to-follow instruction guide to getting to the chatroom. If anything is confusing or convoluted, give me a ping and I'll try to help you out.
There are simpler options further down the post if you don't want an independent IRC client.

Once this is all entered, you can click 'Connect To Server'. It will connect you automatically.
Step 4 (mIRC):
This is the easy part! Type '/join #gaiaATG' in the text input window at the bottom of the server status window and get to chattin'! :3

How-to Guide:
- Download and install Chatzilla.
Paste irc://chat.serenia.net/ in the url bar.
After the window opens, type /join #gaiaatg in the text box and you're there!
