Didn't know where to post this so I'm postin' here. I just want to know, wtf is up with all the 'Dark' themed Avi Arena Entries? What the hell's going through their mind? Why do people today seem to think that the dark is cool? To show that they're not afraid of what faces them? To prove their worth (Which many lack icon_confused.gif )?

why the dark? ::shrug:: maybe it's the only way they think they could be bad a**. They want to be feared, they want to be "evil"

well as far as attraction to gaia and being creapy
I think it's more that Gaia seems like an anime site, and there's a lot of "evil" wannabe anime. So they come here spreading the depression

Why did punk take over a generation?
Why did Hippy-uh... ness take over a generation?
Why did corperate conformity take over a generation?

It's just another trend started by a few, that spreads as a cultural meame (sp?) from person to person, using typically unintelligent people as a vessal to spread across to others who think that they might possibly relate to it at some point in their lives and continues to spread.
Then, of course, when you get a tool like Gaia which links hundreds of thousends of people, many, sadly in the aforementioned not-too-intelligent group, of course whatever popular trend is going to in giant quantities.
