I'm not sure if it was minutes or hours later but, four men entered the room where I was bound; two held guns and one was dressed in a pristine white lab coat; however, the final man was the most terrifying. It was the scent that hit me first. A smell that I had never encountered before all this and yet.... it was familiar. I could feel an uncontrollable mixture of fear and rage that seemed to erupt from some forgotten part of my soul and I lurched forward the chains straining under my extreme power; three of the men stepped back but the last, terrible one, held his ground and even approached me.
????: I don't think you'll be breaking those chains, not this time. I made sure of that! Even a member of the Forsaken clan couldn't escape; but then again you're not normal, even for them, are you?
The man laughed cruelly and I snapped at his face, narrowly missing him. Still he held his ground, not even flinching. One of the gun-men inched forward and his voice shook with fear.
1st gun-man: S..Sir i really don't think you should be standing so close to it.
The fact that they were calling me 'it' made me even more enraged and I strained further on my bonds. All the terrible man did was turn his head sharply to stare at the gun-man and he fell back, silent. Obviously, this person was in charge and everyone feared him.He continued to stare at me for a while before clicking his fingers; the scientist stepped forward, holding out a strange device. It looked like a giant collar....
The scientist held out the collar to the leader but he just laughed.
Leader: Why don't you put it on her?
The scientist looked from me to the leader and back again.
Scientist: Bu......But I.........
The group's leader gave him a very sharp look and the scientist immediately drew back.
Scientist: Yes sir
As he moved forward I tracked where he was moving his hands. After a little while he seemed to grow more confident and moved faster; he reached his hand underneath my neck. Big mistake. In one swift movement my jaws had snapped shut over his arm and then...........it wasn't there. He screamed. His screams fueled my already enraged state and I roared, sending even the leader back a step. The scientist didn't move away from me fast enough and I used my lashing tail to trip him up, his blood splattered my face from the ragged stump that used to be his arm and the smell drove my instincts wild, forcing me through the last lock. The shocked gun-men stared on in horror, forgetting their weapons, as my form exploded. None of them had reckoned on me assuming my Gauru form and, although the arm and neck chains held, the bonds around my legs shattered and I could maneuver them enough to pin the scientist's feeble body to the floor. His terrified eyes stared up into my bloodthirsty ones. Just looking at his eyes, I could sense he knew he was going to die and, although I recoil from this now, I enjoyed that sense of knowledge. I began to increase the pressure on the man's chest and his breath caught in his throat. Just before I could kill him, however, a ear-splitting sound reverberated around the room. Blood splattered the wall behind me and I turned just in time, before I fell into unconciousness, to see that accursed man holding one of the guns that the gun-men had brought, I could feel a sticky liquid dripping down from my chest. Blood. My blood.
