Trever ch.3
We were still in the woods, as we passed trees, bushes, and ponds, I noticed there was a small bit of light coming from the little openings in the trees.
“The sun must be out.” I said.
Trever barked as if he agreed.
An hour must have passed when we reached a small opening from the woods.
“Hallo Luya!” I cried and crawled into the small opening.
At first there was a blinding light.
Sun.
I laughed at Trever when he was trying to get out of the little hole.
He finally managed to get out.
We both looked around. Nothing seemed familiar to me.
There was a field, not very big though.
There was also a road a couple miles away we could see.
“Recognize anything, Trever?” I asked him.
He bared and shook his fur.
“Me either.” I said.
I felt the warmth of the sun on my skin.
It felt like a warm glowing feel.
I could tell Trever felt it too; he was lying there half sleeping.
“Mom!” I suddenly remember her voice calling me, from last night.
I sat up and started to run towards the road.
Trever followed.
When we got to the road, we were both out of breath.
Suddenly a car stopped.
“Hey little lady, do you need a ride?” a voice inside the car asked.
“Uh…” I said as I tried to find something to say.
“C’mon hop in! And I’ll take you to where ever your going.” He said.
“Umm…I-I’d rather-“ But before I could answer he opened the door, gabbed my arm and pulled me in. His hands were like ice. Trever barked as we pulled away.
“Trever!” I said but the man just acted like there was nothing there.
“So where you headed?” He asked me kind of quietly.
“Home.” I said and looked out the window.
“Home huh? For what?” He asked.
Are you serious, are you that stupid?! I thought.
“Hey kid, I was just kidding!” He said and gave me a fake smile.
“So you gonna tell me what house is yours?” He asked.
“Oh uh yeah.” I lied and pointed to a brown house at the edge of the street.
“That one.” I said.
“That one huh?” He said and drove right passed it.
“Aren’t you gonna stop?” I asked kind of scared like.
“What for?” He asked, “I aint dropping you off, you think I’m stupid?”
“What are you talking about? You said you would give me a ride!” I said wide-eyed.
“Hey girly, this is the only reason I didn’t grab the dog.” He said and drove faster.
“What reason?” I asked thinking about where we left Trever.
“Dogs know.” He said and concentrated on the road.
“Dogs know what?” I said.
“Dogs know when people are –“ He stopped the car right away.
Our heads bobbed forward, then slammed into the head of the seat.
“Ouch.” I said and rubbed my head, “What was that?”
“Sit still.” The man said.
“Dude I’m not a dog.” I said sarcastically.
“I said sit still.” He said and slammed his hand into my gut.
“Alright, alright.” I said hunched over.
“Good, now my name is Bob.” He said and gave me an evil smile, “What’s your name, princess?”
“Taylor.” I lied again. “And don’t call me Princess!”
“Geesh, sorry Taylor.” Bob said mockily.
I just stared at the forest around us, thinking of Trever.
“What do you want with me?” I said finally.
“Well, I want you to tell me where you hid it.” He said.
“It? What is it?” I asked.
“You know what I’m talking about.” He said and opened the glove compartment, he grabbed a something black, but I couldn’t tell what it was.
Suddenly, I saw what it was. A gun.
“Now, get out of the car, DON’T scream.” He warned me.
I shakily opened the door and got out.
