unit 2 : Geology of Hizan-Oura
Planet cooling:
Ice ages occur due to patterns in the geometry of Hizan-Oura's orbit around the sun, known as Milankovitch Cycles. The Hizan-Oura moves around Debes in an elliptical orbit and is tilted by 27.58° to one side. When the Hizan-Oura is at its furthest away from Debes, and the northern hemisphere is tilted away, less solar radiation reaches the ground. This cools the planet sufficiently enough for more winter snow in the northern hemisphere to last longer than it would do normally. The extra snow reflects more of the Debes's heat than usual, causing the ground to cool further and allowing even more snow to build - eventually causing the Hizan-Oura to descend into an ice age. Recently, this has been happening every hundred thousand years or so.

7.6 million Years Before Present:
The origin of the planet hizan-oura to the shoggothian; for most of these aeons, the hizan-oura is covered by warm, shallow seas from which continents periodically emerge.
