*grabs knife* Do you really want to hurt yourself over a stupid play? There's more to life than junior high plays. At least you got to try out. That's more than what I've been able to do.
Let's see, when I was in 7th grade, I had surgery on my arms 8 weeks after the start of school. I was homebound the rest of the year because my arms were in braces and I couldn't do anything.
In 8th grade, I was able to join the yearbook committee.
In 9th grade, I spent 99.9% of time at school working on homework. I virtually had no friends of my own at school. My friends were my sister's friends. Who were at least 2 years younger than me. At the beginning of February, I had another surgery and was put on homebound for a month or so.
Just before I began 10th grade, I had yet another surgery. I missed all of my sophmore year because I was in the hospital. I still did the work with a tutor, but it wasn't the same.
I attended my junior year of high school for maybe 2 months. Then was put back on homebound.
For my senior year, I moved about a 2 hour drive from where I lived with my grandparents. I am unable to take of myself, so I had to move somewhere I could get the care I need. Halfway through my senior year, I was yet again put on homebound for the remainder of the year due to health issues.
I am still battling those health issues and will continue to do so for the rest of my life. I can only imagine what my bill would be should I ever have to foot them by myself.
Anyway, what I'm saying is that it's not the end of the world. Remember what I told Zoe when I met her. It only gets worse before it gets better. Things may seem bad now, but they will get better. Just keep that in mind.
