Dreams, everyone has them and everyone talks about them. I don't mean dreams as in goals but the literal dreams. I've always wondered their symbolical significance. If you dream about a specific place, what does that imply? If you dream about a special person, what does it mean? I can understand there are somedays when you're doing something or hanging out with someone and that night you dream about them or what you did because the thought has been in your mind the whole day but sometimes you just dream something completely random.
What is my point in this? Ever since I can remember, I've always had dreams about special places. I don't mean GameStop or Borders(which I wouldn't mind being in right now) but unique settings like a beach, a forest, or even a castle. It's not so much that I dream about it but I end up crying about it, as if it is my home, my lost home or the place I need to be. Im a teenager, I dream, haven't you ever wanted to escape your life and simply run away to try and find the place of your dreams? I sure as hell have, more than I can keep count! Obviously it's all in your head, it might not even be real but as a kid or a teenager, you never care. You want to believe that there is that place, somewhere out there, wating for you to find it.
As time passes by, I grow older but the dreams remain. I cry even harder every time because I know that the more time passes, the less chance I have of finding it. In a blink of an eye I become an adult with bills to pay, jobs to do, and family to attend to. And I'm sure I will look back to this time and wonder if my special place is still waiting for me. I hope it never comes to this.
I try not to think of it. I will keep on searching. People will call me wierd, people will call me inmature, hell, I dont care! Is it so wrong to believe that there is a safe haven for us dreamers? Another world where we can be free and happy? It does not mean I will turn a blind eye to reality but I can't simply ignore my feelings as well.
In the end, what do you beleive? Do you have a special place you dream about? Will you search for it? Do you think it's just a dream and nothing more?...
