Ch 11: Legend of Izazu, Enter the cookie.
Michael stood poised; he was on the sidelines which were solid. Toad jumped up and launched off the opposite wall, using his body as a cannon ball when he curled up. The group scattered to avoid the attack, and thus they were forced onto the collapsing floor right where Toad wanted them. He launched his tongue with cannonball force and it hit Vincent square in the chest, sending him onto his back. Toad jumped and again became a cannon ball, aiming for Vincent.
“Dragon arts: Ice!” Diamond yelled and unleashed a torrent of freezing water on toad, knocking him off course while Michael kept Vincent from falling into the snake pit below.
“Thanks.” Vincent told Michael and stood up on his own. Vincent drew his katana and took a leaping slash at Toad, who shrugged it off with his thick and bumpy hide. Toad grabbed Vincent and jumped up and threw Vincent to the ground before body slamming him.
Vincent cried in pain as he was body slammed by the toad demon who jumped again to avoid the falling floor and Diamond blasted Vincent to the sidelines with ice cold water. Michael whipped out his guns and started peppering Toad with bullets to distract him as he strafed the beast. Toad held up his arms as a reflex, even though the bullets didn’t pierce his skin, they still stung like hell. Michael kept it up as Toad got to where the trio wanted him.
Vincent, now propped against the wall, threw a red rubber kickball at Toad to get his attention, and the plan succeeded. Toad whipped around to Vincent and lashed out his tongue, this time however, Michael was waiting for this and he dashed out and cut off Toad’s tongue with Nirvana in its ax form, giving it enough power. “Gwoooooooooooooooooooooooooooooor!” the demon roared in pain “oo batadth” he accused them and charged recklessly.
Meanwhile, someone managed to break through the solid ply wood door without anyone noticing, and liberated Mr. McKinson’s chain whip. Toad charged Michael, who had run out of ammo, but was stopped when a beam from the rafters dropped on his head. It didn’t kill him, but it managed to pin him and the floor gave out, thus Toad plummeted to his death at the bottom of the snake pit. With its master’s death, the floor solidified.
A man with short, black hair and wearing a dark shirt complimented by a pair of blue jeans that had holes in both knees was standing above the, he wore a grin to top it off “You owe me.” He told them.
“Great, but who are you?” Diamond asked him, sitting down because the spells had used energy.
“It’s fine, no one bother to check my wounds.” Vincent mumbled and the rest complied by ignoring him.
“I am, Izazu!” He said triumphantly and looked around “Can someone help me down?” he asked them, He jumped from the bleachers to get up there, and did not wish to brave the jump back.
After a mini adventure, Izazu was brought down and Vincent’s wounds were tended to. A small gate way to the land above made itself known “Don’t,” Vincent told Michael, who wanted to go through it “You have to close it and all the others.” He scolded the pouting demon hunter.
Michael sighed and something told him what to do, he stuck the Nirvana through the portal and pulled it out. The portal started closing up and there was a sliver of it attached to Nirvana like thread through a needle. The portal closed and faded “Couldn’t I have left?” Izazu asked, wanting to get back home.
“Like hell,” Diamond laughed “But really, no: you have to be cleaned of your sins first.” Diamond told him and looked to Michael “Lets go, eight more to go.” She looked back to Izazu “Come on.” Diamond told him and his expression turned gleeful, she turned around and rolled her eyes as she walked to the entrance and stepped out of the reflecting pool at the other end.
The three guys followed after her. Izazu had stowed the chain in his back pocket and the rest of it hung down like a tail. Michael had reloaded both of his guns and stowed them in holsters. They walked into the hall and Diamond saw an Eyegoyle demon, it was a solitary eyeball with a green tail that served as a security camera for the castle. Diamond flipped out a throwing knife and sent it into the creature’s iris, killing the beast. “So, monsters are going to attack us?” Michael asked and Vincent nodded
In the master’s keep, a man watched them as they exited the room and frowned when he lost signal “Impertinent fools.” He said in a stately and agitated manner. He drank from a wine glass that he softly held in his right palm, with the stem held between his middle and index fingers. His pitch black hair emphasized his pale face and golden eyes that shown in the light given off by the candles in the room. The room itself was filled with furniture made of oak with intricate designs carved into their sides, and the walls were decorated with murals that depicted war and bloodshed.
