O.o Welcome and enjoy?
Whilest traversing the lives of others, I have had a revelation, an epiphany, if I may.

When posed with the question, "What is the hardest emotion to either find, or keep, throughout the course of ones life?" I believe I speak for the vast majority when I say the answer would most likely be "Love" or perhaps "Hate". This, is nothing more than a misconception. We pin those two emotions to be the extremes, to love is to be made of light, to be pure. To hate is to be soiled, to be tarnished. Therefore, if one loves, they have a good life, if one hates, they have a less than pleasant existence. Thus we deem that these things are the hardest things to come by within life, and we ignore the true answer as it stares so silently at us. Happiness. Happiness is the single most difficult thing to find in life.

It is a fleeting dream made all the more difficult and wondrous because it is a dream, which while bearing the same effects upon everyone, is so much different from person to person. For one, happiness is simply a moment of solitude, for another, it could be the stare of the crowd which arises it to bear upon their heart. Regardless of what, or how, it comes though. It is, almost impossible to hold to...I believe that this is because we, as humans, are not inherently creatures made to experience "Happiness", or perhaps the correct manner of thinking is that, while we are created for it, we are brought up within a world far too harsh, within a society far too corrupt, to allow us to realize it.

Love is something inherent, hate, is inherent as well. In life, we will experience these things. Happiness...is scarce, for even in love, there is not guaranteed to be happiness, you can love a dream, for instance, and find that it will never come to be. This is not happiness, but it is love.

What I have realized, is that Happiness, this thing that comes on a cloud to each of us for brief times, has become something taken for granted. I want it to be given the respect it deserves, to be cherished as it should. Perhaps, it is just my personal forsaken dream, but...I want to believe that if we can find something that makes us happy, that if any person can truly find what makes them happy, what courses through their veins, what makes every breath, every day, worth having. Don't let it go. Don't take that happiness for granted, not for a single moment. And no matter what, never believe it is not meant for you. Whatever it may be that makes you happy, hold onto those things, put aside doubt, put aside worries. These things cloud our judgment, and without ever meaning, we forget to appreciate.

If something makes you happy. Then that is where it should be. I could be wrong, I could be a foolish optimist at the moment. But I want to believe that if we can honestly cherish happiness, and not doubt, that it might, just might, remain where it should be.

I agree.
Those are very powerful words. Happiness should be cherished and respected, but I think the reason sometimes people don't cherish it is because of their fear that it will leave them. People who are not happy tend to bring others down with them into their despair and doubts. I always cherish whatever God gives me to be happy. As should we all. This world didn't mean for us to be happy, and would rather see us hateful than happy. We have to find that happiness in ourselves and by ourselves, but sadly not all people are strong enough to do that.
I find happiness in the smallest things sometimes, but it always keeps you going.
