Sorry it took me so long, guys! school and work's been keeping me busy. this is a pretty boring section of the story, but you've gotta have fillers!

“Julie! Julie!” Jasmine gently shook Jules awake.
With a yawn, Jules stretched and rubbed her eyes.
“What time is it?” she asked groggily.
“Dinnertime,” Jasmine replied, “Whenever you feel like coming downstairs.”
Jules nodded as she yawned and stretched again and Jasmine left the room.
Suddenly, Jules remembered something.
“Phoenix!” she hissed, looking around her room and then under her bed, but Phoenix was nowhere in sight.
With a sigh, Jules got up and walked downstairs to eat.

Later that night, Jules was in bed when she heard her mother come in.
“Is Julie in bed?” Jules heard her mother ask Jasmine tiredly.
“Yes, would you like some coffee?” Jasmine offered.
“No,” Jules’s mother sighed, “I’m going upstairs to check on Jules and then I’m going to bed.”
Jules heard the stairs creak as her mother climbed towards her room.
Her bed room door squeaked open and light trickled into her room.
Jules kept her eyes squeezed shut as she felt the bed slouch behind her as her mom sat down behind her.
“Julie, sweetie?” her mom asked softly, gently putting a hand on her arm, “Are you awake, baby?”
Jules maintained her breathing until she felt her mom get up and leave her room, shutting the door behind her. Jules kept her eyes shut and eventually fell asleep.
