It's really hard to remember why you love video games so much when you haven't gotten any new ones in a while and you've played all the ones you have ten times each.
But after finally finishing Final Fantasy VII, which was awesome, and finally getting Dirge of Cerberus back from my cousin, I was free to play the new game with breathtaking graphics (esp. in facial expressions, namely with Shelke) and...oh, boy...a shooting-style fighting system. Every time I start playing it, I'm a little scared because I'm so awful at gun games. I can't aim, I get super jumpy, and just...I'm awful with the camera, and just plain terrible. xD
But this just proves you don't have to be good to enjoy something. And I also get the rare experience (for me, anyway, who rarely attempts things out of her comfort level) of trying really hard to get something and succeeded, though never perfectly.
Last night, I stayed up till four in the morning playing. xD The storyline was just getting so good, and I never got tired of the graphics...especially as Shelke took a bigger role in the story. I swear...her expressions are amazing. biggrin
Anyway, then with great apprehension and jumpiness, I took on Rosso the Crimson, whom my brother said would be difficult to defeat...really difficult.
The first time I sysematically used every last one of my items and came soo, sooooo close to beating her.
The second time I didn't even use all my items and did probably fifty times better.
You should've seen me...both times I was getting so into it, breathing so quickly and jumping around and leaning this way and that to try and find the stupid chick and cringing when she attacked me and groaning and going "Come ON!!" with anger and frustration. Then each time, her health went low: "Come on, come on, come on..."
When I finally beat her, I was so elated, I let out all my breath in a whoosh and laughed and just felt so accomplished.
Ahaha, I'm such a nerd. I love it. <3
