I just simply took it for granted
But I gradually came to realize
I have a human mind.
I've tried too hard to be protective
Yes, even act as though I was strong
It took me so long to see
That I, too, am delicate.
My tough exterior is deteriorating
But how I hate to say it!
My power to defend is withering away
No pill or state of mind can change that.
My dear, please accept me that I
May not be as strong as you want
Just know that I've tried my best
As the strength I once had fades away.
