I look up to the sky
And wonder how the hell could I
Have ever seen anything more
Than the darkness in your eyes.
I turned away from the mirror
And I put on my coat,
Then walked out among the graves.
And I stared at the sky
Wondering how could I
Have ever seen anything dark in those eyes.
My eyes wouldn't lie.
There was something lost in mine.
There was no joy nor happiness.
There was no spark of life.
I belonged in the graveyard
Of emotional ties.
But.
Those.
Eyes...
They captivated all.
Destroyed every single wall
And I found myself bare
Under an all seeing stare.
It was not the kind that pains,
Though I didn't feel so great,
But a stare instead that upheld you.
A stare that looked straight through you.
Then they'd blink away
And I'd wonder what to say.
Because of all that my eyes were..
They were tiny windows.
“Tiny windows to the soul.”
And the reflected everything
For those other eyes to see.
Words wouldn't come
And I stared at all the graves.
Then I knew what this was.
Those eyes were an illusion,
One that I'd happened upon,
And now that they were gone...
I was alone in a field of graves...

"And for all your worth...
Wake them up.
Show them the world
And let them sleep.
Sleep and remember the world.
A world as it should be,
Away from the chaos surrounding the birth."

"Love me for me."
Wake them up.
Show them the world
And let them sleep.
Sleep and remember the world.
A world as it should be,
Away from the chaos surrounding the birth."
