I discovered the first three 'Shift's in my Beg. C++ class last semester. It was confusing at first, the whole concept of 'shifting' was unique, but I got it. The Shift series is a platformer-style puzzle game, becoming more puzzle as the series continues. (There are four games.) In the first shift, you start off as Subject 32763, and have to run the maze of the Shift-world, trying not to get killed, and reach the end and your trophy. In Shift 2, you're a different person 32765, and they introduce the concept of not only shifting, but gravity-shifting arrows. The point of the game remains the same. Shift 3 introduces the actual storyline as you play. You find newspaper articles about a family of three that has disappeared, and a mysterious, yet little-known dark plot involving them, and some business people. In one picture, you see the three family members, each of which look familiar. The entire thing is really entertaining, and classic. The last Shift is a huge multi-roomed affair, with three levels, plus the conclusion. It has an element similar to 3, but different. In the end, it's just you and your trophy, or so they assure you. -.o
All in all, I give it a 9/10, because of it's uniqueness and replayablity.
