I've been thinking more and more about self-publishing, and how much I'd rather do that than mess with enemi anymore. I'm sure I could find a better distribution method, such as indyplanet or comicsmonkey, once I actually have some books printed. The problem is the capital I don't have right now. That's why I was wondering this:
Would 10 of you be willing to invest $10 apiece in starting an initial print run of Ragdoll #1? Those 10 contributors would, in return, receive a personally signed and numbered (1 of 10, 2 of 10, etc.) copy of the very first print run (a run of only 50 comics) that would be sure to increase in value over time. Think about it, these indy books that no one sees coming? They're the ones that end up being worth about $30-$50 3 years after they come out. And to have a signed and numbered limited edition? Come on, you can't lose. ~_^
Let me know what you guys think. Just an idea I'm playing around with.
