Hey all. I lurve betas, as my few readers may know. And recently, my black crown tail, Murmur, passed on. So I got a new betta, a male Cambino named Tsukasa. Today, when I was changing the water, I noticed Tsu was looking a little paler than normal (which is hard, cambnino's are naturally pale) and swimming nearer the top, along with a strange, white like coating around him.
FUNGAL INFECTION!
I freaked and sent one of my friends to go buy some fish medicine (I had to stay home) Problem is, the medicine is meant to be distributed in ten gallons of water. So I had to mix it with two gallons and dillute and dillute and dillute. Finally, I got it right.
Now, for the next five weeks, I have to change his water every three days and have him in the dilluted medicine water... then I hve to monitor him closely for any other strange behavior. And if he is not cured by then... I have to put him out of his misery. crying
So.. everyone, do whatever it is to hope someones better (be that prayers, wishful thinking, rock worship) or whatever, and wish Tsukasa the best.
Here's a picture of the lovely guy.
