For the record--and my Clothings teacher who should really read this--the US of Bloody A uses the Customary measuring system. Being *Customary* it isn't standard in any way, shape or form. So saying that pattern packages have metric measurements because "other countries don't use the standard system of measuring; they use the metric" is completely stupid. No one has a *Standard* system as far as I'm aware for starters. And, being the only country that actually uses customary measurements, we can't describe our system as standard. It isn't, it's customary...like the name suggests.
